What Is This RSS Stuff?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, or Rich Site Summary. An RSS feed is a little text file that contains information about what was updated recently on a certain site. It generally contains three things: a headline, a short summary, and a link that you can click to read the full article. The feed is formatted in the XML language, so though it is a text file, a human will have a hard time figuring out which part means what. You need an RSS reader in order to "render" an RSS news feed.

There are many free readers available out there. Here are a few of the most popular:

Once you have an RSS reader, add the feed links at the top of the page to receive updates from TechTree.com. In most RSS readers, you will need to click on the "Add New Feed" button to do this.
