Apple iPhone 6 and Apple Phablet - Features and Leaked

Apple is going to announce iPhone 6 together with another phablet which has a larger screen. There are a lot of features and leaked information about it over the Internet. Well, I like to follow the information on Youtube channel - PocketNow and I think that it is the best source for mobile phones information so far.

iPhone 6 is expected to come out at June 2014. Everyone is eagerly waiting for it (Well, I am, I'm not sure about you.) There are some leaked specs and designs for the iPhone 6 and the Apple Phablet, you can watch the video below:

I like the design of the iPhone 6 and the phablet shown in the video.

Rumour iPhone 6 Display:

It is expected that the iPhone 6 is going to be 4.8 inches. Some rumours are saying that it will be 5 inches while some says it is 4.5 inches. In addition to bigger screen size, Apple is expected to use Sapphire glass on the iPhone 6. (Source) One of the purpose of the Sapphire glass is to enable solar charging on iPhone 6. This means that the screen is transparent but it is a solar panel which can charge the iPhone when expose to sunlight(cool right?). (Source) Well, we just have to stay tuned and wait what is coming out from Apple.

Rumour iPhone 6 Camera:

It is said that the iPhone 6 camera will remain at 8 megapixels while some rumours are saying that it comes with optical image stabilization.

The processor is pretty much confirm as the Apple A8 64 bit processor. Other features are still not known.

If the iPhone 6 comes with 2 different size display and solar charging sapphire display plus more powerful camera, it is surely going to the best and amazing iPhone worth waiting for.

Car Tech: Kia Forte

I tried Kia Forte few days ago. Here is a review of Kia Forte's some cool in-car technology.

The look:

Kia Forte is a sedan with a nice sporty look. Overall, the design of Kia Forte is quite beautiful and it looks sporty. In my opinion, Kia Forte's design will grab the heart of a lot youngsters (Age: 24 - 28) who are planning to buy a new car.

Start The Engine:

This is a cool feature in Kia Forte, the Engine Start button. Now, with Kia Forte, we no loner need a car key. All we have is a electronic key which will be sensed by the immobilizer of the car. When the driver holding the electronic key of Kia Forte enter the car, the sensor will detect the key and the "Engne Start" button can be pressed to start up the car.

The Engine:

The engine is DOHC 16V. Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) 16 valves engine is the ngine used by Kia Forte. 16 valves means that it has 4 valves per cycliner with 2 intake and 2 exhaust. The fuel consumption is not very fuel saving which is roughly 9.5 km ~ 9.9km per liter.

The Rear View Mirror:

I would say the rear view mirror is quite high tech. In normal driving, the rear view mirror is a normal rear view mirror just like all other cars. When you shift the gear into reverse gear, the rear view mirror turn into a small LCD (as shown in the picture above) to show you the back of your car for proper reverse.

The CD Player:

The car CD player is another special stuff I found in Kia Forte. We can place 6 CDs into the CD player and the choose the one we want to listen. This is quite handy because we do not need to change CD so often. The CD player support Bluetooth, MP3 and so on. Above the driver seat, there is one small microphone which is used for hands-free when connecting mobile phone to the CD player. The volume of the car audio can be controlled using the buttons of the car steering.

The Price:

In Malaysia, the price of Kia Forte is roughly RM87,000.00. In USA, the price start from USD$14,995.00.

Overall:

Kia Forte is quite good in terms of the design and the features in the car. The interior of the Kia Forte is quite comfortable and the audio system is good. Personally, I like the gear system of semi-auto mode which gives driver a feel of driving sports car.

iPhone Apps: Camera Plus (Camera+)

Today, I am going to write a short review about an iPhone apps called Camera Plus or Camera+. Personally, I really like this apps called Camera Plus a lot because it enhances the power of the 5 mega pixel camera of my iPhone 4 a lot.

Camera+ includes a lot of extra features such as photo frames, lomography, special FX effect and more. By using Camera+, we can directly edit the photos that we take in the Camera+ apps and then save/delete the photos we want or we don't want.

Let's look at some of the features below:

Camera+ Photo shooting interface and photo editing interface.

Camera+ photo editing to put photo frame and borders, and FX special effect.

Overall, I would highly recommend Camera+ apps. With just USD$0.99 you can get almost all the features you would like to have on a mobile phone's camera. Camera+ is a great apps that you should not missed out.

Few days ago, I found a special apps called Clinique Forecast. It is recommended by my friend and I downloaded it to my iPhone 4. You can download this apps from the Apple Apps Store using your iPhone as well and it is Free of Charge.

Basically, what Clinique Forecast does is that it is actually a weather forecast application. Clinique Forecast apps can forecast the weather, the UV radiation level, humidity and air pollution for today and the next 3 days.

Clinique Forecast apps will show you the weather forecast based on your location and it will forecast the UV radication level at your location and display as UV index. Clinique Forecase apps also shows the humidity and air pollution at your area.

By showing you the UV radiation, humidity and air pollution level, Clinique Forecast apps will notify you to use their suitable products to protect yourself for UV as well as protect your skin at different humidity and air pollution level.

So, under different environment and weather, the Clinique Forecast apps acts as a reminder for you to use the proper skin care products.

One of the pros of this Clinique Forecast Apps is that the weather forecast is 80% accurate. The weather forecast is almost all the time correct and the forecast for the next 36 hours and 3 days are also very accurate. Web Browser: Konqueror

I found an interesting new web browser - Konqueror while surfing on the Internet. This is not Mozilla Firefox,it is not Google Chrome, the name of the web browser is called Konqueror. Since this web browser is not so popular as compared to all other web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Maxthon and Safari.

Some of the features that Konqueror web browser offers are listed below:

Pop-up blocker
Adblock
Password manager
Web shortcut
Tabbed browsing
Split view (This is a special feature)
Bookmarks manager
Web page translation
Spelling check

Pop-up blocker:
Pop-up blocker is a common feature in most web browsers. Pop-up blocker blocks pop-up advertisement while surfing the Internet especially when you come across site with a lot of advertisements.

Adblock:
Needless to say, this is another common functions to block advertisements on site. It prevents those ads from appearing and distract our reading experience.

Password manager:
By having this feature, we no longer need to remember all our password. Konqueror will auto fill in the passwords of our favorite sites. Konqueror uses KWallet to store the passwords and our passwords can be shared in all KDE applications. (What is KDE applications? I will write about this in the coming post)

Web shortcuts:
By typing wp: Konqueror in the address bar, we can directly find information about Konqueror in wikipedia. Konqueror provides web shortcuts for Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook, YouTube and more.

Tabbed browsing and split view:
We can split view the webpages and also use tabbed browsing just like Firefox, Chrome and other web browser.

Bookmark manager:
Manage bookmarks and take full control of bookmarks.

Web page translation:
Translate web pages into the language you want easily using Konqueror.

Spelling check:
This function is quite good to avoid typo while we are typing on the Internet.

Overall, this web browser is quite simple and if you want to compare with other popular web browsers, Konqueror is still lack of plugins.

Should We Wait for the iPhone 5 or Get iPhone 4 Now?

A lot of comments and arguments from all sides: Should I wait for iPhone 5 or iPhone 4?

From all the arguments and comments I read online, I found that it is not worth waiting for the iPhone 5. Some people are saying that it will be released by the summer but no one can confirm whether it will be released or not. Some rumors are saying that it will not be released in year 2011 but it will be released next year.

From so sources online, it mentions that iPhone 5 will have almost identical design to the iPhone 4 and not much new features or functions are added. While some mentioned that iPhone 5 will be a lower cost iPhone to make iPhone more affordable to all the people around the world. So, does that mean that it will be downgraded? Will 4G be integrated to the iPhone 5?

So, is it worth the wait? I would say get iPhone 4.

Apple iPad 2: Launching on 2nd March 2011

Apple iPad 2 will be officially released on tomorrow (2nd March 2011). Counting down to the officially release date is now no more than 48 hours. I am looking forward to the release. Some leaked photos are found on the Internet before iPad 2 are released. I am not sure whether it is the real iPad 2 or it is just a fake one. Anyway, have a look at the photo below:

All in all, no one really knows the official design of the iPad 2 except the designers of the iPad 2. Let us wait and see when it is officially released.

Nokia 5800 New Firmware Update: V52.0.007

Nokia 5800 new firmware update is available. The new version is v52.0.007. I just updated my Nokia 5800, all I have to say to the new firmware is GREAT! The new firmware V 52.0.007 makes my Nokia 5800 Xpress music a lot more faster as compared to the previous version.

Some of the great improvement in this new firmware V 52.0.007:

Faster access to menu,
VERY fast auto rotate speed,
Faster loading of images in Gallery,
Faster loading of music lists,
and so on.

Some of the not so great improvement:

The camera is still giving bad quality photos,
If theme effect is turned on, the loading will slow down.

Anyway, I feel that Nokia has finally made some great speed up in Symbian system for Nokia 5800. Thumbs up to Nokia.

From some sources online, there are more improvements at other functions such as new Ovi Maps, better pictures and movies quality, improved WiFi connection, enhanced CPU performance and touch screen performance.

Personally, I do not feel any improvement to the touch screen performance.

Angry Birds: Cool iPhone Games

Angry Birds is a cool game I tried on iPhone. The game is simple, the main idea of the Angry Birds game is to take revenge on green pigs who stole the birds' eggs. The game is quite challenging and it consists of 195 levels which requires logic, skills and force to break through the enemy's castle.

Angry Birds game has 195 levels with facebook and twitter integration. It is a great game to play on iPhone as well as on iPod Touch. With a minimal pay of USD$0.99 you can get Angry Birds game on your iPhone or iPod Touch and start playing this fun and cute game.

Today, I found a cute and nice application called Comic Creator. So far, I found it useful for me to draw some simple comics. I like best of this application is that it is free. I downloaded it from Ovi Store using my Nokia 5800 and tested it. It works quite good.

Nokia N97 Mini

Nokia N97 has been in the market for awhile. Nokia comes out with a newer version of the Nokia N97 called the Nokia N97 Mini. Nokia N97 Mini is the smaller size version for the former Nokia N97.
