AMAZON mentioned is developing Android-based tablet computer. If the rumor is true, IPAD competitors increased by one. However, as quoted from techcrunch.com on Tuesday (28 / 9), certainty about the specifications of these products is unknown yet. To be sure, the Amazon to work hard to develop a device other than the Kindle, an electronic book reader device that uses Amazon's operating system.

A day earlier, on Monday (27 / 9), techcrunch.com mentioned that Amazon is preparing the launch of online Android application store itself. Applications offered through the applications store must use the access control technology of Amazon Digital Rights Management (DRM).

In determining the price, Amazon has to choose almost. Identified, the installation of applications in the application store will be charged of U.S. $ 99. In addition, Amazon will also take 20 percent of the list price.

Microsoft has just released its latest browser Internet Explorer version 9 beta. But Microsoft's latest browser is not going to be used by the majority of Windows XP OS users.

Thus, IE9 will not be used by more than two-thirds of PC users. In August 2010, the number of Windows XP users still dominate the market that is 66.7 percent of Global PC. Meanwhile, Vista users ranged from 15.3 percent, while Windows 7 is still around 17.4 percent. While for the older OS like Windows 2000, Windows 98 and Millennium users have very little amount.

"It's just a problem in growth, at least for 12 to 18 months into the future more companies and consumers are migrating to Windows 7," said Al Hilwa IDC analyst as quoted PCAdvisor on Saturday (09/18/2010).

Meanwhile, Ray Valdes, Gartner analyst says this is the main weakness of the IE9 strategy, "And this is an opportunity for competitors to continue to erode the market share of IE," he said. Microsoft did not fully release the final version. So there was a chance for the software giant to consider the XP users.

IE9 beta version that been launched is claimed to have the ability to turn any website into an application in Windows taskbar. It is allowing its users to use one-click option to access their favorite sites. Speculation is circulating says that IE9 final version will be launched on April 2011.

EA CFO Eric Brown reveals EA will try to take advantage of the growth of Android users. "Big waves to encourage better growth in mobile is applications, including for the Android operating system," Brown said as quoted by infosyncworld, Saturday (18/09/2010).

Not only the EA, a number of game companies will also develop games for Android. Namely, id Mobile, Ngmoco and Epic. Even Gameloft has recently been launched Asphalt 5 for Android.

The battle of game developers for mobile platform indeed continue to heat up. Not only on the side of the game, but also from the sales price. Last June, EA lowered the selling price for the iPhone platform games. A number of famous games such as Madden NFL, FIFA 2010 and SimCity sold only approximately USD0,99.

There are at least 14 games are trimmed by EA, ie SimCity, Madden NFL 2010, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010, FIFA 10, Need for Speed Shift, Need for Speed Undercover, Command & Conquer Red Alert, NBA Live, CLUE, Trivial Pursuit, CONNECT 4, Battleship, YAHTZEE Adventures, and The Game of Life: Classic Edition.

HTC Corporation, Taiwan based SmartPhones manufacturer, recently launched its newest handset and claimed as one of the most powerful SmartPhones, HTC Desire. HTC Desire was earlier know as HTC Bravo. This device looks like Nexus One and it almost has the same specs. In essence they are virtually the same device in terms of hardware, just a few things to distinguish them. The Desire has an optical trackpad and a couple of hardware buttons where the Nexus just has a hardware trackball.

Nokia has Officially released full specifications and images of its latest product called Nokia N8. The Nokia N8 claimed as the first device launched by Nokia to be powered by the brand new Symbian^3 platform. The Nokia N8 will come in five eye catching colors and the price tag on this device will be around $492 (before the usual local taxes and subsidies).

In the Official Nokia Blog, they said that the biggest feature on the Nokia N8 is its 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash. It features a substantially larger sensor than any ever used in any other Nokia device – even bigger than many found in dedicated cameras.

Onboard there’s also three customisable homescreens that can be loaded with applications and widgets and flicked through by a swish of the finger. There’s also improved 2D and 3D graphics for a faster and more responsive UI, greater memory management and a visual task manager.

Of course, the Nokia N8 comes with access to the full range of Ovi services and it’s Nokia’s first smartphone to be integrated with Qt. Got and idea for an app? Qt is a software development environment that makes it a cinch to build apps and deploy across the Symbian and other software platforms.

T-Mobile, the German mobile phones provider, recently announces that they are going to launch its latest Android phone called MyTouch 3G Slide. As the name mentioned, of course this MyTouch 3G Slide is a side-slider phone with a full keyboard, 3G and Android 2.1. The Slide version is different from the previous original MyTouch products. The design of MyTouch 3G Slide is completely different, as you can see in the picture.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide has a 3.4" HVGA screen, but it will offer some different experiences than you would expected before. T-Mobile have thrown in some custom interface changes, on a level that can almost rival what HTC have done.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide features includes a 5MP camera, quad-band GSM/EDGE and 3G with HSPA (T-Mo frequencies obviously), Wi-Fi, 8GB microSD card in the box, Google Maps Navigation, Swype keyboard and media syncing with doubleTwist. Another addition to Android capabilities by T-Mobile is the Genius button. It lets you control the myTouch 3G Slide using voice commands and uses text-to-speech to answer back to you.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide Key Features:

No words on the release date and price but it’s expected that the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide will hit T-Mobile USA in June, and available in black, white and red color schemes.

BlackBerry Slider 9800, The First BlackBerry Device Equipped With OS 6 To Be Launched Soon

Blackberry Slider 9800 will probably be released in Europe in the next future. From some information obtained by Techviser, the BlackBerry Slider 9800 has support for 802.11n-wifi. The BlackBerry Slider 9800 also will become the first BlackBerry device equipped with OS 6.

Besides the support for the 802.11b/g/n-wifi Slider 9800 will also handle GSM, UMTS and HSDPA. The Blackberry Slider 9800 is equipped with an Xscale processor, like other recently released Blackberry. The screen has a resolution of 480x360 pixels.

The Blackberry Slider 9800 is a new high-end BlackBerry with a slide-out keyboard. Like the newly announced of BlackBerry OS 6, the device will probably launched into the third quarter of this year. It is the first time that RIM, the manufacturer of Blackberry launches its device with a slider design, a touchscreen display with the QWERTY keyboard and equipped with OS 6 to the market.

In order to strengthen its Internet market, Opera Software ASA, a Norwegian Software plans to offer Mobile E-Mail services by taking over Web-based e-mail provider FastMail.fm, e-mail services provider from Australia.

In its press release recently, Opera said that the acquisition will enable Opera to expand its current messaging product portfolio and deliver cross-platform messaging to a wide range of devices, including computers, mobile phones, TVs and gaming consoles.

"The newest generation of Web users will discover the Web through a mobile device. Having world-class messaging capability alongside a rich and compelling Web experience is essential.

Findtoyou.com sites script theft case that allegedly carried out by stopanos.net hosting service, is likely to be brought into the realm of law. This will be done after the Indonesia's Search Engine Site managers were planning to report the stopanos.net hosting service manager to RI Police.

"God willing, dated 2 May 2010, we and our legal counsel will submit a report to the authorities for some vicarious infringement by stopanos.net refer to ITE (Information and Electronic Transaction) of Article 26-27," explained Fachrul Rozy, admin sekuritionline, who is also manager of findtoyou.com, to okezone.com via electronic mail on Friday (04/30/2010).

Fachrul Rozy Added that they will file a civil or criminal charges. In accordance with article 26-27 UU ITE, they will be fined up to Rp. 1 billion and an asks for a complete investigation to the individual that is responsible for the theft of his site.

Previously reported, a website addressed at www.findtoyou.com has admitted that the site's script is known to have experienced theft when a website is located at www.extremedigger.com comes out. The site www.extremedigger.com believed is a duplication of the findtoyou.com. "From a simple observation evident from the CSS and Adsense are used, have exactly the same as findtoyou," said Fachrul.

But now, www.extremedigger.com site is not accessible anymore. According to Fachrul, extremedigger.com closed by stopanos.net hosting providers, at 12 o'clock Friday morning, without any confirmation to us as the injured party.

According to sekuritionline, the script theft cases to be interesting because it is done by unscrupulous staff of the hosting service, where www.findtoyou.com resides, stopanos.net.
Canadian Company, Research In Motion (RIM) has launched its newest BlackBerry SmartPhone called the Blackberry Pearl 3G, the ultra-compact smartphone packs everything in a 1.96-inch wide body, weighing a light 3.3 oz.

Aside from the smaller size than the previous BlackBerry SmartPhone products, the most notable feature from BlackBerry Pearl 9100 3G is the inclusion of 802.11n wireless support, the first one for Blackberry phones. BlackBery Pearl 3G will also come in two models: 9100 (which uses the space-saving, pseudo-QWERTY SureType keys) and 9105 (which uses a surprising T9-style keypad). Yes, Blackberry appears to be finally embracing the lower-end of the market too, with a release that looks to have more in common with Nokia's designs that the ones RIM has popularized.

Core hardware for the BlackBerry 3G handsets consist of a 624 Mhz processor, aided by 256MB of RAM. It runs Blackberry OS 5, complete with all of its familiar features, including the Blackberry Messenger, Media Sync and App World. Key details include a 360 x 400 resolution display, a 3.2 megapixel camera module, aGPS (with Blackberry Maps), 3G, WiFi, microSD expansion (up to 32GB) and a 1,150 mAh battery (rated at 4.4 hours of talk time).

The newest BlackBerry Pearl 3Gs are definitely unique, the Pearl 3G packs in a solid slew of features in a pocketable candybar frame.

ASUSTek Computer Inc, a multinational corporation centered in Taiwan, recently announces the ASUS Eee PC 900 AX on the official ASUS global webpages, which we discovered showing itself off in a bunch of images with full specs and details included.

As for the main specification of netbook, the ASUS Eee PC 900 AX will come with 8.9 inch LED backlit WXGA display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 4-cell battery and Windows XP Home.

Other features include a weight of 2.48 pounds, VGA out, two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, audio jack, built-in microphone, built-in card reader and an optional 0.3 megapixel webcam.

Well, I’d like to believe 9-inch netbooks are back, but there’s actually nothing new with this Eee PC 900 AX. It’s got the same old chunky design of the original 900 series. It’s got the same old Atom N270 processor. It still has Windows XP Home. Nothing has changed!

This is one greatness of the Apple iPad. The use of this Apple's Tablet PC is believed may help doctors, nurses in hospitals and healthcare centers to control the condition of the patients.

A hospital in California even plans to distribute more than 100 units of iPad to its medics. The goal is, when the medics want to search for health information of patients, the doctors and nurses need to examine their condition, they can goes into the file and the prescription directly along with your Coordination of Care Record.

Of course there are specialized applications that help medics to do this job. One of the program called Destination Bedside that can show the results of X-rays, charts, and a doctor's prescription.

Director of Technical Services Kaweah Health Care District in Visalia, California, Nick Volosin said that 100 units iPad purchased by the hospital will be distributed to nurses, nutritionists, and pharmacists. This was decided after testing the use of three units of iPad that seemed to be considered successful.

A pretty impressive battery life for the iPad - up to 10 hours of use on a full charge is also expected to enhance the work of the medics. Until now there are 20 doctors at the hospital which already has iPad. An Internist (specialist in internal medicine) says that iPad makes work more effective and easier to improve patient safety.

Many hospitals in the U.S. who started using iPad since it was first released. Some medical workers believe that iPad tablet Personal Computer can help doctors and nurses spend more time with patients, as quoted from Apple Insider.

Google Buys Stealth Hardware Startup Agnilux

<img style="border:1px solid #cccccc; padding:2px; display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center; width: 500px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0VRzrbIgGiZhQHJn9R_mCpPCWvh-MXiSTX2l8cZjV9iqUf0w0yZEQLniGmVsbhIdv8lh0vryQ1pcLsGPJCW_Nd08QemkbLpoGQNOB8CmIuTuXDmyZsBDKlbD1uJFv0mBEwK2_e3QUZBg/s400/google-ventures.jpg" border="0" alt="Google Buys Stealth Hardware Startup Agnilux"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462753373805417170" />

It's not a secret anymore that Google, the world's number one Internet Search Engine, currently has been fond of doing acquisitions of other companies. Especially for small companies that are considered by Google as has good performance but are constrained by capital to expand their businesses.

However, one of Google's latest acquisition is raising some big questions for many parties. Google has acquired Agnilux Inc, a stealth startup based in San Jose, California.

It's quite interesting for the observers of the internet technology. Because, Agnilux is a company consisting of former employees of Apple Inc. and PA Semi (Palo Alto Semiconductor), a Santa Clara, California based PowerPC processor company.

A few years ago, Apple bought PA Semi, whose technology, some claim, ended up in Apple's A4 processor. Some PA Semi people, however, left Apple shortly after the acquisition, opting to found a new start-up company instead. In addition, Scott Redman, Agnilux's director of application software is a former of software architect at TiVo.

Although Agnilux has never been officially announced what projects they are working on, the New York Times has reported that the company is in collaboration with Cisco of making the technology "Some kind of server" - that's as far as The New York Times got.

Mark Hayter, the chief operating officer at Agnilux, told The New York Times, "We want to make a splash, We don't want our manufacturer to take our intellectual property before we're ready." In other words, we have no clue as to what these guys are building.

Some industry speculation has Google’s interest in Agnilux stemming from a desire to wring more efficiency from its power-hungry data centers; others have mused that Google might be looking to expand its hardware business. Google already offers the Google Search Appliance and Google Mini to companies who want to deploy in-house Google search capabilities.
