Acer has finally come with yet another innovation to its Aspire series with the touchscreen feature. The new series will be called as the Acer’s Aspire Ethos. The Aspire Ethos laptops has a touch screen which can be found below the keyboard where the touchpad is normally found. This touch screen feature enables the users to control volume and navigate images very easily than before. This will help us in having a clean and elegant design.

The Ehtos laptops have a powerful processor from Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. Also it has ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series graphic card. The Ehtos series also has Blu-ray disc drives. There are two versions of Ethos available. One is the Ehtos 8943G with 18.4 inch screen and the Ethos 5943G with 15.6 inch screen. The storage capabilities are available in the form of two 640GB hard drives combined to 1.28TB of space with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The prices are not available now.

Cisco and Bank of America are in a new plan to roll out 200 Cisco TelePresence systems globally which will make this as the largest TelePresence system network owned by a company so far. Although the bank has 28 systems under the same technology for meetings and training, it further wants to take it to the next big level. HP is also in the same process with Cisco.

But Cisco’s approach is always better and different which involves making the customers buy high end devices like HD monitors, cameras which can give efficient output. 'Jailbroken' or ' Jailbreaking'- iPhone or iTouch which are modified to use applications not approved by Apple are under attack by two new worms . The first worm also know as ikee or Rickrolling worm which was created by an australian student changes the wallpaper of the jailbroken iPhone to a picture of '80s pop star Rick Astley. He told a local media that he experimenting with a malicious code which went wrong, infecting lot of jailbroken iPhone users on the Optus network, australia.

The second worm targeted customers of Dutch online bank ING Direct. Surfers visiting the the ING direct site with the infected devices are redirected to a phishing site. The "Duh" or Ikee-B worm, like the Rickrolling worm exploits an SSH backdoor on jailbroken handsets in order to spread. Unlike the former this spreads across a wider range of ip. The worm changes the infected iPhones root password from "alpine" to "ohshit".

Now the phishing sites have been brought down by the officials. Experts advises the jaibroken phones to change their passwords from 'alpine'. Though Jailbreaking gives a lot of advantages there are some security holes in it.

Shocking news reveals that the Secure Socket Layer often called as SSL is vulnerable to various attacks on the web. Security experts have demonstrated the vulnerability with various examples which can cause devastating consequences. The first phase for a hacker is to succeed in a man in the middle attack which is quite a difficult task.

Google Chrome OS - Windows Killer ?

Everyone must have used the Google's Chrome browser which is an efficient light weight browser. Google went one step further as it always does, announced that it will be launching an OS . Ever since the announcement made by Google, there has been buzz all around.

Google Chrome OS is an open source project which will be a light weight when compared to the other OS available at present. Google states that initially it will be targeting the notebooks market. Acer, ASUS, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, and Toshiba are the partners who will be marketing their notebooks with this light weight OS. These notebooks hit the market later half of 2010 if everything goes as planned. Google chrome will be running on top of a Linux kernel with a new windowing system. Google says that the OS will be effective , secured and simple. The applications for the Chrome OS can be created using any known web technologies. The application not only works on this particular OS but can be used in other OS like Mac, Windows and Linux thereby the developer has the user base on all platforms. This is a cool thing as some applications running in one OS won't work in some other OS.
