Unlearn 是蔡舜任今天談話的主題, 看靦腆的蔡舜任緩緩道出學習修復油畫的歷程,

不管是花整整半年幫師傅做苦力, 或是花兩年半專注在小部分的修補, 台上的蔡舜任絕口不提過程的艱辛

他的謙卑, 他的韌性, 讓他可以放下創作的慾望, 用心去了解要修補的作品,

八年漫長的學習之旅, 除了讓他的技巧精進, 更可貴的是孕育出對古蹟的尊敬

現在他回到了台灣, 對於台灣的古蹟受破壞的現象寒心, 也更加確信他要為故鄉貢獻自己的能力

「我們如果可以投以一個關心的眼神,說不要破壞我們的古蹟, 這些古蹟就可以留下來!」

『Unlearn』 is the topic Tsai Shun-Ren talked about.

The modest young man slowly unfolded his learning as an oil painting conservator.

He never mentioned how tough it was when talking about spending half an year

doing physical work for his teacher and another 2.5 years doing simple repairing.

His humble and tenacity make him able to control his creating desire,

and concentrate on the work he was repairing.

The 8-year long journey of learning not only enhanced his skills,

but also nurtured his respect for historical monuments.

Now he is back in Taiwan and he observed the phenomena

that heritage in Taiwan is serious spoiled.

Therefore he has made up his mind to save heritage in Taiwan by

using his skills and knowledge.

「As long as we show we care, and speak louder that

Don’t destroy our heritage, then they can be conserved!」

這些看似遙不可及的夢想, 聯合國給了他們一個期限

定下這個目標的十年後 , 2010我們在哪裡?

今年九月TED與比爾蓋茲基金會合辦  TEDxChange 要來檢視

我們人類走到哪裡?  距離這八個目標還有多遠?
