After a little back and fourth the self proclaimed "queen" sent out a tweet that implies that the ink is officially dry on the deal.

Although Missy,Lil Kim, Mya, Christina Aguliera and Pinks version of Lady Marmalade was a remake of the LaBelle classic it was modern spin done well. Doing a remake of a remake is just *stare* pointless. The photo above is obviously photoshoped to the highest degree but, this scenario is all too possible.

Pink Friday Gets Pushed Back + New Video

Honestly I can't say that I am surprised that Nicki Minaj's sophomore album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' was pushed back. Valentines day seemed like a perfect day but, now the the project is set to be released on April 3rd. With such a massive following I'm sure the album will move major numbers either way.

The rapper/singer/character released a video for her ~~ode to Lil Kim~~ latest single via the Internet over the weekend. When she posted the following tweet: "Can't premiere on a network b/c its important that my art is not tampered with, or compromised prior to you viewing it for the 1st time" it was pretty much a warning that the video would be over the top, check it out here.

Ashanti Performs "The Woman You Love" Live

As a fan of Ashanti I'll be the first to admit that she isn't the most amazing vocalist but, her recent performance in Atlanta at Tom Joyners Skyline Show was quite impressive. Especially considering that ist been a long minute since she has been in the limelight. I've had "The Woman You Love" on repeat since hearing it for the first time over the holiday season. Not much promo is being done for the track leaving me to think that it may disappear sooner than it needs too.

Now for the juice... Ashanti and former label mate Ja Rule have settled an alleged "beef". Here's what she had to say during an interview with Rickey Smiley about reconciling with the rapper who is currently behind bars:

“We had a three-and-a-half hour conversation and we just hashed out years and years and years of stuff. That’s my brother. I love him and I hope he’s doing well. I think he’s in good spirits. We’ve all been through a lot. We’ve all grown. We’ve all learned. We were all young starting out in the industry. We hashed out a lot of stuff and we needed that.”

Mama Jones Gets Spin-Off

Well people here you have it. Although Mama Jones shut down rumors of a reality show with Keyshia Coles' mom Frankie Lons she never said that she wouldn't do one of her own. No word yet on what network the show will be aired on but, I would not be surprised AT ALL if VH1 was footing the bill. Production has allegedly started already all I need now is some rumor control done by the Jones fam.

*Deep sigh* No lie a part of me was hoping that Teyana Taylor was signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music camp, that would of been a major look. Having such a huge co-sign is enough but according to Teyana she's a free agent. The singer wouldn't confirm nor deny her involvement with the label when asked by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club.

The entire class which is only short of 3 of its original students is said to be heading off to colleges throughout Africa and the United States. It would be interesting if O did some sort of documentary following a few of the students as the travel abroad.

If you are familiar with me, follow me on twitter or read the site you know that I joke about the "Diddy/Bad Boy" curse all the time. Its only jokes people but, I have this theory that anyone associated with the label or the man in charge is doomed for failure after sudden success. Craig Mack, Mario Winans, Total, Da Band, Dream (most of you probably don't even remember them) and the list goes on. Diddys ability to scout talent and develop superstars surpasses others.

In 1994 the first single to come from the label "Flava In Ya Ear" by Craig Mack was released. The hit set the stage for the 'Big Mack Campaign' with Biggies "Juicy" joining the songs promotional efforts. Sounded like a genius idea until Biggies "Juicy" turned "Flava In Ya Ear" into a jealous stepchild. While Big became the legend Mack now 40 disappeared and hasn't been heard from since the 90s.

Fast forward to 2012 French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, Red Cafe and Cassie all make up the labels roster. MGK's single "Wild Boy" doesn't move me at all but, that's just me. I haven't had the chance to listen to French Montana, we all know Cassie but, Red Cafe's new single "Fly Together" with Ryan Leslie and Rick Ross is my jammmmm. Lol

Yes you read the title of this story correctly and no I'm not losing my mind. Papa Jo Jay is so inspired by his new baby girl that he decided to make a track celebrating her life. Getting an early start as a chart topper Baby Blue can be heard at the end of the song ~~spitting a hot 16~~ crying, how adorable.

On How She Met Her Boyfriend

One day Patrick [Johnson, Jr.] came to the set of True Jackson VP, and he brought Rodney, my boyfriend, with him. My mouth dropped when I saw him, and I’m just like, Keke, control yourself! [Laughs] I was 15 years old at the time, and he was 19, so we didn’t talk or anything like that. I just always had a huge crush on him. Then when I was like 17, I talked to my parents ’cause my mom was like, ‘If you want to date somebody, I guess the oldest age would be 21.’ I just couldn’t believe that she said that to me. It really almost made my heart skip a beat because I always liked him.

On Intercultural Relationships

I’ve thought about it. It always seemed so difficult to me because I want to be understood culturally. When I’ve had crushes on other cultures, sometimes they don’t understand. They don’t get my jokes, they don’t get who I am or my family or anything like that. It’s not like I don’t find white guys or [other cultures] attractive, it’s just I want to be understood.

My boyfriend now is Guatemalan and Black, and he was raised by his mother who is Guatemalan, so he’s the only Black person. It’s culturally different, but I realized I can still find a way to understand [them]. Even though everyone is speaking Spanish around me and I don’t understand it, his mother is so kind and open that there’s not a problem. I don’t feel like I’m an outsider.

On Her Upcoming Role in the Film ‘A Virgin Mary’

We haven’t started to film it yet, but I’m very excited because this is something new for me. People have always known me, as I said, as Keke Palmer the “good girl.” In this movie, I’m not necessarily being a huge slut, but my character is just that. She’s like, ‘I’m a sex enthusiast. That’s who I am,’ but the reason why I chose this film was because it’s different from what everybody knows me as. And this character spoke to me because she was funny, she was likeable… Even if I didn’t play the character, you would immediately love her because she’s just lovable. It’s almost like [Draya] on Basketball Wives LA. People can say whatever they want about her, but you like Draya because that’s who she is. You either like her or you don’t. No fronting, no nothing.
