Demi Lovato's Directing Dream Has 'Come True'

Demi Lovato is redefining the term "triple threat." Not only can she sing and act, but now, she can direct.

Earlier this month, Lovato tweeted out to her 14 million followers that she "got those directing shoes on" followed by a series of pictures that showed the "Heart Attack" singer behind the camera.

"I had my directorial debut on a video shoot, not saying which one," Lovato said during " Live From MTV." "It may or may not be ['Made in the USA'] and you may or may not find out later, but I had a lot of fun and I think I found a new passion."

Demi told her Lovatics that it was her "dream come true" to direct her upcoming music video, which many are speculating that it's for her rumored next single "Made in the USA" off her latest album Demi.

Going from being in front of the camera to behindit wasn't too difficult for Lovato; being a director has been a goal of hers for quite some time.

"I always wanted to do it when I was younger, then I just had the opportunity this time and I was like 'oh my god I have to take advantage of this,' " Lovato said. "So I came up with the idea for the treatment and I told my manager this is what I want on this second and on this shot and this to happen... and want this camera to pan that way and he was like, 'Why don't you just direct it?' and I was like, 'OK!' "

At the time, Lovato admitted that she hadn't seen playback of the video and as of now no release date has been set, but one thing we do know is that Lovato certainly had fun in the director's chair.

"I was just directing other people and that was pretty awesome," Lovato said. "I got really into it, I was like yelling."

Demi Lovato to Have Her Tonsils Removed

Demi Lovato is having a surgery this summer, so she says. The former "Camp Rock" actress tells MTV News that she is going under the knife to remove her tonsils.

"Actually, this summer I have to get my tonsils out," the "Heart Attack" singer reveals. She additionally says, "I'm gonna do it without painkillers though because I'm a boss!"

Dealing with pain without painkillers is not something new for Demi. The 20-year-old singer, who triumphantly beat her addiction issues, once got her wisdom teeth removed and nursed a broken foot without any analgesic-drug help.

While she's not performing, Demi will be busy mentoring the third season of "The X Factor (US)". She's back as a judge along with Simon Cowell. The two are joined by two new female judges Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio.

Demi Lovato Devastated After Texas Shooting

Two gunmen opened fire on an unidentified male who was sitting in a Range Rover outside the Southlake Town Square in the suburb of Southlake, according to police reports.

The 43 year old was transported to Baylor Grapevine Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and Lovato subsequently took to her Twitter.com page to appeal for peace in her home state.

Lovato writes, "Really sad to hear that there was a shooting in Southlake, Texas at my favourite place to hang out. 1 dead... Please stop the violence."

Authorities have asked anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.

Justin Bieber has been named as the seventh most popular female celebrity by a new poll, as reported by Fox News in the US despite appearing to be a man.

The teen heart-throb managed to get to the seventh position on the list compiled by COED Magazine based on Google searches in 2010, which was gleefully reported by the US news channel.

We knew Bieb was popular but it appears his fame even transcends gender as he managed to get more hits than Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton and Avril Lavigne.

He sure is one talented guy eh?

We're pretty sure Justin is of the male variety and that there was just a mistake made in the poll. He often likes to talk about his manhood as do his fans, who've nicknamed his penis 'Jerry', something the star isn't as keen on.

In an interview with Capital FM last year the star became coy when asked who exactly 'Jerry' is.

"My fans are a little inappropriate," he joked, "It's funny. My fans are kind of inappropriate." When asked how his fans came up with the name he went on, "I don't know, it's just what they named it."

"Jerry seems kind of like... 'Here's Jerry...'" he added with a laugh.

Girl beaten for looking like Taylor Swift

A TEENAGER claims she was kicked in the face and left with a possible broken jaw by school bullies who were jealous of her resemblance to US pop star Taylor Swift.

Xenna Kristian, 18, suffered bruising and a suspected broken jaw after she was allegedly pulled from her chair by her ponytail and repeatedly kicked. The incident, which happened at Shropshire college, which is similar to TAFE, was reported to police.

Miss Kristian started working as a Taylor Swift lookalike earlier this year because people commented on the similarity, but she started receiving nasty comments from fellow students soon after.

"They must be jealous that I'm going off to do something with my life," she said. "Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I'm still shaken."

She added: "I've had to cancel three appearances this week. If my jaw is broken I could be out of action for two months."

Xenna's mother Pauline, 56, told The Daily Mail that "The college called me and told me she'd got head injuries and had maybe broken her jaw.

"My legs were like jelly. I just had to get there as soon as I could. Xenna has never got into a fight or even a scrape before, but she's been getting some remarks since she started the Taylor Swift lookalike thing."

A spokesman for West Mercia police said: 'We have received a report that a teenage girl was assaulted on King Street, however we cannot comment further at this time.'

The college are yet to comment publicly on the incident, but included in their mission statement is a promise to "show respect for each other; we will work together to create and sustain a culture of trust and openness; and we will value and celebrate diversity."

A new clip from The Bling Ring has been released.

In the video, sisters Nicki (Emma Watson), Sam (Taissa Farmiga) and Emily (Georgia Rock) are asked by their mother (Leslie Mann) to list the qualities they admire about Angelina Jolie.

Directed by Sofia Coppola, The Bling Ring is based on real events and follows a group of fame-obsessed teenagers (played by Watson, Farmiga, Katie Chang, Israel Broussard and Claire Julien) who robbed celebrities' homes in the Hollywood Hills.

The real 'Bling Ring' stole over $3 million of property from celebrities including Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson and Lindsay Lohan.

The film debuted last week at the Cannes Film Festival to largely positive reviews.

Selena Gomez called off a string of interviews yesterday after falling ill on a recent trip to the UK, but despite admitting previously she was feeling under the weather rumours she was pregnant with Justin Bieber's baby soon began.

Following an interview with Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1's Breakfast Show yesterday morning, Selena took to Twitter to confirm the sad news that she would be forced to pull out of a string of commitments.

Selena even admitted during her interview with Nick Grimshaw that she was feeling under the weather. Soon after 'Selena Gomez pregnant' began trending on Twitter with fans either agreeing she maybe, or getting annoyed at others jumping to conclusions.

One fan wrote: "Yall are crazy every time selena gomez gets sick y'all think she is pregnant like do u know how stupid ur tweet looks and u," (sic)

While another said: "I admit it... Selena Gomez says she is sick. Sick enough to cancel a show&say it could be what she ate. My first thought: pregnant! =D LMAO!" (sic)

Speculation follows Justin and Selena's backstage kiss at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night. The couple, who split in late December 2012 after two years together, appear to have reconcilled recently.

Not only were they spotted on a string of dates leading up to the Las Vegas awards, but then shared a very open kiss backstage, much to the disgust of BFF Taylor Swift who stuck her tongue out with disapproval as she walked passed.

But despite a report that Kristen Stewart actually visited the singer's home after she and Robert Pattinson called it quits over the weekend, a source tells E! News that the pals did not meet up this week.

"They know each other and they are friends, but they didn't see each other," the insider said.

Meanwhile, the actors are said to be behaving very much like exes: They are not communicating at this time and are "doing their own things with friends."

Pattinson, who was spotted moving out with his two dogs and hauling a truckload of possessions away from Stewart's house on Monday afternoon, looked "very chatty and was having a good time" with a group of buddies at nightclub Teddy's in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel late that night.

Stewart was out with friends in Silver Lake on Monday as well.

A rep for Swift had no comment. Requests for comment from reps for Stewart and Pattinson have not yet been returned.

Teen Choice Awards 2013 Nominations: 'Twilight' And Taylor Swift Dominate

"Twilight" may have wrapped up its saga last year, but the enormously popular franchise lives on in the hearts and minds of young moviegoers the world over — evidenced by its seven nominations at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

The film and its stars join the likes of Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway and many more who were recognized when the Teen Choice Awards released its list of nominees Wednesday (May 22).

"Breaking Dawn - Part 2" received nominations in two categories — Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Romance — as did its stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Hathaway received nods for her performances in both "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Les Misérables." Bieber also nabbed two nominations, for Choice Male Artist and Choice Male Hottie. Swift grabbed three noms, for Choice Female Artist, Female Country Artist and Choice Smile.

Among the movies most often nominated, "Iron Man 3" followed "Breaking Dawn" with six, including two each for stars Downey and Gwyneth Paltrow, and "Les Misérables," which scored in both the Drama and Romance categories and earned nods for Hugh Jackman, Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried. Interestingly, Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" follow-up "The Host" earned only one nomination, for star Saoirse Ronan.

In the television categories, "Gossip Girl" was nominated for Choice Drama and its stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley for Choice Actress and Actor. But a trio of nominations was common among competing dramas: "Pretty Little Liars" and "Switched at Birth" also received three each, while "Revenge" scored four thanks to two Actor nominations, for Joshua Bowman and Nick Wechsler.

"The Vampire Diaries" and "Supernatural" led nominations in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi categories, with five and three, respectively. "Nikita" led nominations in the Action category with four. In the Comedy category, "Glee," "New Girl" and "Big Bang Theory" all scored three apiece. And "American Idol," "The X Factor" and "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" received nominations in the Reality categories.

Bieber faces some stiff competition in the Male Artist category from Bruno Mars, who was also nominated in the R&B category, and Justin Timberlake. Swift, meanwhile, squares off against Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez in the Female Artist category, and then Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert in the Country category. Pitbull is fighting for a win in both the Male Artist and Rap Artist categories, while Paramore and Mumford & Sons battle it out in the Rock Group category.

Among the fashion nominees are aforementioned folks like Bieber and Swift, who stand alongside Miley Cyrus, Gomez, Taylor Lautner and One Direction's Harry Styles. And in the "other" categories, Sports and Comedy, the likes of Missy Franklin, Danica Patrick, Serena Williams, David Beckham, LeBron James, Shaun White, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon and Melissa McCarthy will be competing for awards.

Justin Bieber may sue guests who visit his home if they violate his non-disclosure agreement.

It's all so very hospitable.

The 19-year-old pop star is asking for $5 million in damages if guests violate a waiver he's having everyone who visits his Calabasas home sign, according to TMZ, which obtained a copy of the liability waiver and release form. So, basically, don't talk about the property or anything that goes on there ... ever.

Before you jump on the "Bieber is an egomaniac" bandwagon, just know that documents like this are fairly common among celebrities. But perhaps the year's flurry of bad press for the Biebs finally has the YouTube sensation putting his guard up.

The document will legally bind anyone who shares the goings-on inside his home to confidentiality. That includes "physical health, or the philosophical, spiritual or other views or characteristics of the Released Parties [Bieber], along with any and all photographs, likeness, tapes, films, videos and other recordings," which are all deemed confidential.

"Under no circumstances will you divulge the details of you entering and being on the Property or engaging in the Activities by any means or through any media whatsoever, including without limitation, through photographs, video, blogging, texting, 'Tweeting' or posting any such information on any social media site," the waiver said.

He's looking at you Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and all your offshoots. That particular part of the paragraph is underlined in the document. Any publication -- books, articles, media, etc. -- will require "prior written consent in each instance."

There's also a clause that limits Bieber's liability for any physical harm that happens on the property, warning visitors of activities that might be "potentially hazardous and you should not participate unless you are medically able and properly trained." You know, things like "minor injuries to catastrophic injuries, including death."

The agreement surfaces just months after photos circulated from a party on the property hosted by his pal Lil Twist -- he of paparazzo death infamy. The party took place while the Biebs was on tour in Europe and attendees snapped photos inside the home as they reveled with beer, weed and some other party favors, according to the Daily Mail and TMZ.

The "Beauty and the Beat" singer paid $6.5 million for the 7-bedroom, French-style property, which once belonged to Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, in 2012. It is set on 1.4 acres in a gated community and boasts a 10,000-square-foot main house and includes a library, private movie theater with stadium seating, wet bar, wine cellar and a pond.

Maybe the Biebs is just trying to protect himself, but you know what they say about parties with too many rules ... they're kind of lame. Especially if you can never talk about them again.

The Come & Get It singer announced she was cancelling a live Twitter chat she was supposed to do with Vevo UK today due to a mystery illness.

"Sorry to everyone for having to cancel today," she Tweeted earlier. "I am not sure if I am sick or ate some bad food but I feel horrible. I am going to take the rest of the day and try and get better for tomorrow. So Sorry :( Love you guys."

Selena is currently in London, after spending a busy weekend in Las Vegas. She caught a Cirque du Soleil show with Justin Bieber Saturday night and performed at the Billboards on Sunday.

Selena Gomez Goes "Dark" for New Murder Movie: "It's a Side You've Never Seen of Her"

Selena Gomez fans, get ready to see the starlet like you're never seen her before.

The 20-year-old actress, who debuted a sexy new side in her recent film Spring Breakers, is going to an even darker place for her upcoming drama Rudderless.

"It's the parents' perspective of being the parents of a murderer, a mass murder like Sandy Hook," Gomez's Rudderless costar Jamie Chung told us of the film at the premiere of The Hangover Part III, which Chung also stars in.

"You never get to hear the parents' perspective of dealing with the hurt and the betrayal and the anger and the love," Chung continued. "It's a really interesting angle on a story like that. It's pretty dark but it's kind of beautiful in a way."

Chung says Gomez's performance is a departure from her Disney days. "The thing is, she's so talented, you're really going to see a different side," she said. "It's going to be a bit more fragile. I think it's a side you've never seen of her. It's quite fantastic."

"It's dark," Chung added, "But she's always so lovely."

Jennifer Lawrence may have won an Oscar, but her Hunger Games costars aren't giving her any special treatment on set.

"Definitely nobody at work treats me differently," Jen told Yahoo Movies at the Catching Fire premiere party in Cannes. "I wish they would. Everybody's mean as usual."

"Just Liam Hemsworth?" the interviewer asks, to which Jen jokes, "Liam is the meanest person I've ever met."

Liam was also on hand for the party at Baoli Beach, and things got pretty hot between him and Jen inside!

"Liam and Jennifer were sitting on a sofa in the VIP section of the party when all of a sudden, an 8-foot column with a platter of candles on top fell on top of them," JustJared reports. "They both jumped up when it happened and thankfully no one was hurt. Liam and Jennifer both seemed pretty calm about it and laughed it off."

ONE Direction fear Zayn Malik is so forgetful he could miss their world tour.

The 20-year-old’s bandmates revealed he often forgets to pack — and has even shown up without his passport before.

In a sarcastic nod to elephants’ memory powers, one roadie dubbed him “Nellie”.

1D’s Liam Payne, 19, admitted: “Zayn is the most likely to forget his passport, and has done a number of times.”

Harry Styles, 19, said: “Zayn often forgets to pack his suitcase before tours.”

A 1D source said: “Zayn has been told to get his act together this time.”

The US leg of the band’s tour starts in Florida on June 13.

After Robert Pattinson packed up his stuff and his dogs in his red pickup truck and drove out of ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart's gated community, Us reports Stewart drove directly to Taylor Swift's place and "spent all day" there.

Stewart might have gotten the idea from Selena Gomez. The day after she reportedly stormed out of dinner with Justin Bieber and locked him out of her driveway, Gomez was seen having dinner with Swift. She's like a toll booth on the road to freedom.
