Have you ever danced around in your room to a song and took it, like, really seriously? This guy has, and not only did he record it, but he decided to recreate the dance 10 years later and record that too! A guy named Tyler Marcum recorded himself doing an interpretive dance to the Dixie Chicks‘ song “Landslide” in his college bedroom at 20 years old, and did it once again now that his 30th birthday is approaching.

Tyler wrote: “When I was 20 I filmed an interpretive dance to Dixie Chicks’ “Landslide” in my college bedroom – and in my underwear. I turn 30 in a week and couldn’t think of a better homage to my twenties than a sensible mashup. #I’mGettingOlder2″

Along with Timeless and Arabian Nights, which are both currently listed as in pre-production, Miley Cyrus‘ fiance’s taken on another film after the sequel to The Hunger Games titled Aurora Rising.

According to Deadline, Liam “will play a Southern California surfer turned military fighter pilot who, after acing a complicated and messy first combat mission, gets recruited to be part of an elite team to test the next generation of aircraft. This happens just as an international conflict begins to escalate.”

But until the time comes where Liam will grace the big-screen in Catching Fire and all the other aforementioned titles, you can still see the hunky Aussie in theaters this summer opposite Lucas Till (who just so happens to be one of Miley’s exes) in Paranoia.

Beside Liam, the other cast members from the THG franchise are also hard at work. Currently, Jennifer Lawrence is suiting up for X-Men: Days of Future Past, Sam Claflin‘s filming opposite Lily Collins in Love, Rosie, and Josh Hutcherson‘s shooting Paradise Lost.

In an attempt to revitalize the company, Yahoo! Chief Executive Marissa Mayer was willing to take the risk on the younger platform. She says, “Tumblr in terms of users and traffic is an immediate growth story for us.” However, don’t expect to see significant changes (if any at all): Marissa adds, “Per the agreement and our promise not to screw it up, Tumblr will be independently operated as a separate business”

What does this mean for avid Tumblr users? Basically… not much. CEO and Founder of Tumblr David Karp, who’s said to have made a hefty amount of money from the deal, says, “We’re not turning purple. Our headquarters isn’t moving. Our team isn’t changing. Our roadmap isn’t changing. And our mission — to empower creators to make their best work and get it in front of the audience they deserve — certainly isn’t changing.”

So, unlike the consequences of Facebook’s purchase of Instagram early last year, which caused the demise of Insta-pictures showing up automatically on Twitter feeds, there are no detrimental effects for users. Seemingly, anyway…

Microsoft

Hours ago, Microsoft unveiled the latest Xbox console that is truly the future of gaming. It “not only integrates TV, Internet and gaming, but also will measure your heartbeat and recognize your voice.”

Xbox executive Marc Whitten says, “It changes everything. This is rocket-science stuff.” No kidding.

Director of Gartner Research Brian Blau adds, “The Xbox One is a real advancement, one that will transform the way we experience TV, games, music, movies and more. From what we can see so far, Microsoft has met and far exceeded expectations for the Xbox One. This is Microsoft branching out into the living room to reach more of a family audience rather than a core gaming audience.”

And they really brought out the big guns on this one, guys. To prove that the system branches more into the realm of entertainment than ever before, Microsoft teamed up with Steven Spielberg to produce a Halo-themed TV show, which will appear as an exclusive premium TV offering on the Xbox One.

At the end of March, Justin was spotted with his new capuchin, Mally, for the first time. However, after less than a month in his care, Bieber reportedly abandoned the creature when he failed to produce the required vaccination and import papers after landing in Munich, leaving its fate to German officials. To get her back, all he had to do was produce said paperwork before a certain deadline. That failed to happen…

Now, 20-week-old Mally is in Germany’s hands. Fortunately, it sounds like she’ll receive adequate care. The country’s environment minister, Peter Altmaier, says, “We are going to make sure that Mally can grow up appropriately for its species. Monkeys are very sociable animals. That’s why we’re going to take Mally to a place where he can live safely and in the company of others.”

This news comes a less than a couple months after veterinary physicians expressed their outrage at the “As Long As You Love Me” crooner for taking the animal away from its mother when it was only nine or 10 weeks old: “This is much too early,” said Munich animal shelter boss Karl Heinz Joachim. “It’s obvious that those who were looking after it should have known — we could not get him to eat until we gave him the cuddly toy he was still clinging to when he was delivered to us… This obviously acts as a kind of surrogate parent.”

She most certainly does the song justice if you ask us! Some of it she did in just one breath! Pretty crazy. Wow, Jedward is on a serious roll. It’s been just shy of a month since the Irish pop duo’s last music video, “What’s Your Number?,” and identical twins John and Edward Grimes are already popping out another. (We’re assuming Jedheads won’t have any complaints though.)

“P.O.V.” also comes from the Jedward’s third studio album, Young Love, and the twosome’s currently working on its fourth. Earlier this year, the 19-year-old singer was welcomed to the stage at London’s O2 Arena by a crowd of booing fans after showing up over an hour later than expected, leaving disappointed Beliebers crying because they had to leave after only a few songs. Days later, JB canceled his concert in Portugal after a “rough week.” Although these specific overseas antics may be behind him, they’re certainly not behind those that’ve been in the industry over the course of the past few decades.

Reports suggest that both the “As Long As You Love Me” singer and former Hannah Montana star were hard at work at the same recording studio in Hollywood over the weekend. “They left within minutes of each other around midnight and tried to avoid being photographed… There aren’t that many recording booths at this studio; they MUST be doing something together.”

Prior to the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, E! News caught up with Miley, and asked about the potential duet. Miley’s response: “I know pictures are flying around. You guys will have to wait and see. I’m the biggest at top secrets. I’ve had this single ["We Can't Stop," to be released June 3] ready for about a year, and I’ve had to keep my lips sealed and just not saying anything. So you’ll see.”

For starters, Sarah Hyland is now a part of the roster! The Modern Family actress reveals, “So happy I can FINALLY say that I’ll be playing Natalie in Vampire Academy! They will be joining leads Zoey Deutch (Rose), Lucy Fry (Lissa) and Danila Kozlovski (Dimitri), as well as Olga Kurylenko (Headmistress Kirova), Cameron Monaghan (Mason), Sami Gayle (Mia), Ashley Charles (Jesse) and Claire Foy (Sonya).

Have you ever wanted to spend a day with Emblem3? Here’s your chance! The former X Factor contestants let our Teen cameras follow them around during one of their Back 2 Cali tour stops, and we got a first hand look at what life is like on the road for them.

The specific tour stop was in Las Vegas, with their day starting off at 7 AM. Then at 9 AM, they had an interview over at FOX, where they gave us a backstage look as they hung out in the green room. At noon, it was time for a soundcheck at the Gibson show room, where they’d be playing later that night. Before their show that night, they also played a quick gig at the Hard Rock where, of course, our cameras captured everything — including the thousands of screaming fans.

Last week on Dare or Dare, we saw Kian Lawley put ice down his pants, and while this week’s dares might not be as physically painful, they might leave some emotional scars. Kian was dared to dance around in public, so what better place than to do than at a grocery store? Busting a move not only with himself,  he also manages to go up to a few random ladies and (we assume) make their day.

Time to learn about some new Minecraft mods! Last week on Minecraft Adventures, LDShadowLady taught you all about the My Little Pony mod (or modification if you didn’t know), but this week you’ll get to know more about the Adventure Time mod.

In case you haven’t heard of it, Adventure Time is a show on Cartoon Network that centers on Finn and Jake who are best friends and (sort of) brothers. However, while Finn is a regular 14-year-old boy, Jake is a dog that has magical powers that allow him to grow and shrink as he pleases. They have plenty of friends that are in on their fun adventures, and this version of Minecraft is just another way to enjoy them!

Laughing baby videos are always great, but when you multiply them by four, the results are even better! Recently, the new parents of quadruplets (!) posted a video of their cute little babies as they laughed at their.

Meghan and Joey are switching things up a bit for the latest episode of PWND! Over the last of couple weeks, they’ve been playing games such as Sweet Day and Temple Run 2, but this week they’re getting interactive by playing around with Kinect Sports.

Joey starts things off with a round of volleyball, but it’s not your typical game. If you’ve played Kinect before, you know that it’s not just your hands you can use in the game, but your feet and head, too. It hints you when you need to use which body part, and for the first round, Joey got a score of 16. Then it was Meghan’s turn, where she got a score of 22!

However, just because Meghan won this particular battle, doesn’t necessarily mean she won the war! Although the two have so much in common — like the fact that they’re famous singers, obsessed with tattoos, linked to Taylor Swift and are, ya know, British and everything — it’s almost like they’re the same person, there’s at least one trait they do not share: the need for PDA. According to Ed, excessive amounts of public displays of affection “are unnecessary. We get it.”

That’s when the magic started. Harry responded to his friend’s remark, saying: “I’ll wait till we get home next time. Sorry” to which Ed quickly replied, “At least take me to dinner first.”

Fifth Harmony plus Boyce Avenue, with a dash of Justin Timberlake equals all kinds of amazing! Recently, the two groups joined forces and did their own stunning take on JT’s hit song, “Mirrors.” They’ve each done their fair share of covers — Fifth Harmony has recently covered Taylor Swift, while Boyce Avenue recently took on Michael Buble — there’s something special about these groups coming together for this particular track.

Though they don’t do the originally 8-minute song in full, this version certainly does it justice. The former X Factor contestants and the YouTube sensations decided to go acoustic for this particular cover, and we’re loving their original spin on the tune. Check it out for yourself above!

The night of her best friend’s funeral, Dylan Swanson ditched her clothes for a midnight swim, a boy with hands softer than his lips, and the promise of a Lime-A-Rita.

She stood at the edge of the pool. Glowing blue water rippled and lapped against the sides. Below the surface, the promise of submersion called to her. She had never felt anything so strongly. The need to sink the way Kat had that morning. To be buried too.

Behind her, a guy with a striped t-shirt and cargo shorts sat straddling a pool chair. He had squinty eyes and messy hair. Dirty in the cleanest possible way. He was Kat’s type. Dylan could barely look at him.

He puffed his cigarette, his eyes creeping over her freckled skin.

“G’on ‘n jump,” he said.

The words were a dare and a test, prompting her to act. To see how far she would go. How far he could push her.

Two strangers tongue-wrestled over by the gate, gasping and groping at each other like toddlers discovering the world through touch.

And she wondered…

Dylan’s mother only had two rules:

Never lie.

Always keep your promises.

Of course, Dylan had suspected that as long as she obeyed the first one, she’d never have to worry about the second one. No matter. They were both easy enough to remember, and she had managed for sixteen years never to break either.

Until Jeremy Quill.

She’d never admitted it, but Jeremy Quill made small-town life bearable.

He saw the truth in everything. How literature was nothing but history, and science nothing but math. That smiles were just vague notions because they could literally mean everything or nothing at all, and people hardly took the time to decide which…

She barely noticed when the guy with the striped tee came up behind her. His fingers crawled across her stomach, lingering around her belly button.

“Thought you came here to swim,” he whispered. His lips bumping against her cheek.

She shuddered, her mind focused on the parts where their skin touched. He brushed her sandy curls back and brought his mouth down to the soft part of her throat. She flinched, every muscle in her body clenching in disgust.

“’S all right,” he said.

But it wasn’t.

Above them, thin clouds dragged across the night sky, letting go of the moon. Tree branches shivered in the hot summer wind. And she remembered…

Kat had never had a boyfriend before. She had “friends.” Make-out partners. Meal tickets. Rides home. The guys she normally went for all stunk like cigarettes, beer, sweat, even cat food once.

Dylan never understood why Kat liked Jeremy. He was smart in that he could hold a conversation about something other than sports, cars, and whatever else boys were made of. He was funny. His laugh made sure of it. Even when his jokes didn’t make sense, everyone had to laugh because he did. It was infectious that way. But he wasn’t that attractive. If curly hair, crooked teeth, and acne were national treasures, he would have been in a vault somewhere, protected from time.

Kat had latched onto him while Dylan stood by and watched.

And he was good for Kat.

He taught her how to drive. After two years of failed tests and botched lessons, she finally walked away with her license because of him. He helped her pass geometry, and he talked her down from every one of her binges. She would have relapsed if it weren’t for him, gone back to her scale and razor.

She would have relapsed…

The guy with the striped tee made a beeline for Dylan’s panties and she turned on him. He looked shocked but his eyes were dead, and her stomach shriveled like a sweater in the clothes dryer.

“We’re swimming,” she told him. Wearing a broken smile, she stuck her arms out by her sides and fell backward into the pool.

Water shot up around her like an explosion or a celebration. It chilled her to the bone.  She drifted. Sank.

The chlorine burned her eyes as she stared up at the surface, and she thought she could feel herself crying, though she couldn’t really tell. The water turned the world quiet. She wished it could have that effect on her mind. Drown the parts of her brain that made her think and feel until she thought and felt nothing.

It could.

If she allowed her sorry heart to carry her deeper.

Faintly, she heard the echoing splash as the guy with the striped tee came in after her. Felt the change in the water. She let out a breath. Bubbles dancing in front of her face. And she saw him…

After she kissed him for the first time, Jeremy wouldn’t say a word. They were in his old Cadillac, which had belonged to his grandmother or maybe his great aunt. She watched the rain fall beyond the dirty windows, digging her nails into the skin below her skirt as he drove her home in silence. She wanted to disappear, to fizzle away like the car exhaust billowing from his rusty muffler.

That’s what she felt like. Exhaust. Dirty and poisonous.

Kat would hate her. He would hate her. Even her mother would hate her, if she ever found out.

Never lie.

Always keep your promises.

Dylan had promised to put her friendship with Kat above anything else. She shouldn’t have let a boy come between them. Not even for love.

He pulled into the parking lot in front of her apartment. She reached for the door handle, but froze when he cut the engine. The sound of the rain enveloped them.

“Sorry. That was stupid. I’m stupid,” she said when the silence became too much.

Then he kissed her…

She swam to the surface, gasping for air. She shoved her hair back from her face, and the guy with the striped tee was right there, snaking his arm around her waist.

Her chest hardened, her breath quickened, and one by one, the tears returned. Because her friend had been buried that morning. The boy she loved had pushed her away. Her mother was swimming in booze at one bar or another.

All Dylan had was the guy with the striped tee.

She paddled around to face him. His eyes were so empty. Emptier than she felt. She was an M&M without the chocolate, and she wondered if she had always been that way.

Fighting logic, she pressed her lips to his. He reacted instantly, his body tightening in sickening ways. His breath smelled like the ghosts of meals past, and she felt like she was licking the bottom of a refrigerator.

Abruptly, she pushed him away, allowing the force to drive her backward. He reached out for her ankle, laughing like it was all a joke and her defiance was the punch line. She kicked him off and swam toward the pool ladder.

“Where ya going?” he called after her.

“Doesn’t matter,” she huffed, almost sounding tired as she hoisted herself out of the water.

By the gate, she tugged on her shorts and shoved her feet into her shoes, ignoring the goose bumps along her arms and the bile rising in her throat.

Kat was gone, and it was her fault. Dylan might as well have been in that bathroom with her, shoving the razors into her wrists, taking care to hit the right veins, drowning the tile in blood.

No one would love her for that. Nor would they love her for admitting it.

“You just gonna leave me here?”

She smiled as she swiped her shirt from the back of a chair.

The kissing two didn’t flinch when she brushed by them. The wind kept blowing, singing the same old whispering song.

Alone, she walked. And she remembered eating ice cream cones with Kat outside the Dairy Queen. Taking hundreds of pictures on their webcams. Trading shoes after fourth period. Being young and in love with the same boy.

The greatest YA couple of all time is…
Clary Fray and Jace Lightwood from The Mortal Instruments. They fall in love, find out they’re brother and sister, love each other anyway, find out they’re not brother and sister — *phew* — save the Shadowhunters and the world, and then struggle to save themselves. Their relationship is kind of epic in a way, and I don’t mean awesome epic. They’re on a hero’s journey that keeps leading them back to each other.

Who do you think is literature’s most misunderstood villain?
Wuthering Heights’ Heathcliff is literature’s most misunderstood villain. He may have wicked tendencies, and technically he’s a kidnapper, but in the end he’s a victim of classism and a tortured love.

At 2am, you’re most likely…
Flipping between Netflix and YouTube while scrolling through my Tumblr and offering fleeting glances to whatever is on my television — unless I’m sleeping because that happens too.

What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever received?
Write what you feel like writing. I read that on a YA writing blog. It seems so simple, but there was a time when I felt obligated to devote any writing time to my current Work In Progress. Everything had to be written in chronological order — no straying, no detours, no nothing. That type of process even sounds constricting, and it sucked away all the fun. Allowing myself to write what I wanted provided more opportunities for creativity and, most of all, fun.

What’s your favorite book of all time?
My favorite book of all time is Peaches by Jodi Lynn Anderson. The novel follows three girls as they spend the summer on a peach orchard. I’ve read the book so many times that it looks like someone ran over it with a really big truck. My favorite thing about it is how Anderson ties in the life of the orchard with the life of the characters, and her descriptions are just gorgeous. It’s actually the book that inspired me to start writing, so even after the pages start falling out and the binding rips, it will still be the most prized book I own.

Describe one conclusion or final chapter of a novel that stuck out to you.
I finished If I Stay by Gayle Forman today, and the ending is still fresh in my mind. The main character, Mia, barely survives a car accident that kills her parents, her little brother, and leaves her in a coma. The novel is about her struggle to decide whether or not to give up or to keep fighting. In the final chapter, her boyfriend visits her and says the most perfect things a boyfriend could say in this situation, and right when she decides to stay, the book ends.

You get to invite three authors to dinner. Who do you choose and why?
John Green — I’ve been a fan of John Green since I started watching Vlogbrothers — the YouTube channel he shares with his brother, Hank Green. John Green is my favorite YA author, and it’s rare to get to see your favorite author voice his opinion on so much and just be human. I really admire him.

Laurie Halse Anderson — I swear she has metaphors for days, and every one of them sounds fresh and new. I would like to know how she does it, and if it’s possible to make my brain work that way.

John Milton — He isn’t a YA author, and I’m pretty sure he died in the 17th century. After he went blind, he wrote Paradise Lost by speaking it out loud to his daughters. Basically, he authored thousands of lines of poetry in perfect meter without ever putting pen to paper. That’s completely sick in the best way.

Do you have a go-to writing snack?
Doritos and salsa.

Besides Delirium, what’s your favorite dystopian book/series?
I like dystopias with creative ideas — like love being considered a disease in Delirium and kids being forced to compete for their lives in The Hunger Games. My favorite dystopian series is Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. The books were some of the first YA dystopian novels I’d read, and they were so creative — especially Extras.

The best book-turned movie is…
The Secret Life of Bees. I love that movie.

In a series of tweets, the 20-year-old announced that the first single off her upcoming album, titled “We Can’t Stop,” will hit the radio come June 11, and hinted that it’ll make its debut at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards live this Sunday night. (We knew she was presenting, but singing too?!)

With the 2013 Billboard Music Awards airing this Sunday, Taylor, who killed it with nominations, chatted up Billboard on all things music, including the goat edition of one of her top singles. She exclaims, “I thought the goat video for “I Knew You Were Trouble” was brilliant — I showed it to everyone on my tour.”

According to The Wrap, the Oscar nominee is set to join the cast of Zach Braff‘s Wish I Was Here, which has been made possible by Kickstarter. (You know, the same engine that made the Veronica Mars movie possible.) Anna “will play Janine, a young woman into Cosplay who Braff’s brother, played by Josh Gad, becomes smitten with.”

This news comes only weeks after the announcement of Anna joining the cast of The Voices with Ryan Reynolds. Though it may sound Pitch Perfect-esque — hello, voices? Singing?
