Crazy Vallant Magical Offspring

They lie in the shadows, their teeth gnashing, fire burning from their savage eyes. As our heroes approach the bush, their senses peek - they are hunters stalking their pray.
Or so they think anyway.

They're A Hungry Bunch

With the trap laid, our heroes face off against the ferocious alternate reality horde. I think the first glimpse at the hungry hordie is precious. Nicely done by the artist.

If you ask me, this is shaping up into quite a decent story. We already have some ten or so pages done ahead of schedule (well, storyboards really), and I like what's coming in the next couple of months. I'm a little ahead of you guys, but I'm right now at a point where I'm adding some chewing gum to the joints of this story to hold it all together.
You see, this is the EXACT reason I suck at writing. My analogies make tabloids sound like profound reading.

So the story is unraveling at its slightly slower pace, but I really like how this panel turned out. There is plenty ahead for our Glads, so sit tight. Really wish we could dish out two of these panels a week, but that really is impossible, given the amount of free time.

They Come to Disturb Our Peace

So what exactly is going on with this sleepy and downright civilized Orc village? In case you had a major head trauma during the course of your life and haven't yet figured out, I'm going down the "alternate reality" route for my cataclysm.
BUT (and this is a big but(t)), you have to realize that I did make a little shift in the paradigm and that I'm now leaning more towards a slightly slower flowing storyline, which would, granted, be much more suited for a more frequent comic. Alas, our work obligations don't allow myself and the artist to have two or more updates a week, but, on the other hand, I was literally sick of trying to rehash the same Arena stuff week in and week out.
So there, hope this explains a few things.

Such Tuneful Words, Like Penguin Squak!

Hey there, hard to believe we've reached page 100, isn't it? When I started this, I thought the comic would have the life span of an average boy band. In other words, I thought that three months into the project someone would either check into rehab or launch a solo career, but as it were, we're still here and kicking.
So maybe we're like Dire Straits or ZZ Top -- old, moderately entertaining but eternally kicking around despite the ever changing nature of entertainment. Actually, it's a bit pretentious of me to say that. We're like two slightly overweight jazz musicians coming back to our small bar every Monday for a bit of fun and entertainment served to a small crowd of people who are only loyal because they are too lazy to check out the fancy bar across the road. So let's get crankin' then, shall we?
Oh and about the comic; you should have a general idea now of where this one is heading.

Welcome to the New Barrens

So, I'm taking a slightly different approach with the comic this "season". Frankly, I was getting a little tired of the constrictive nature of it, so I've decided to "expand the playing field" if you will.
But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. For now, let's just say that the new course I've taken will allow me for a bit more creative freedom.

I really have nothing against Mr. Chilly, it's a cute pet. To that end, also, I'd like to add that no penguins were hurt during the making of this comic.

So, yeah, in case you're wondering what the hell Mr. Chilly is doing in the arenas, or what the hell is going on for that matter, please note the looks of the Nagrand arena. Something's up I tell you, it's just that our gladiators haven't yet gotten with the program so to speak. That said, I promise there is some sort of method to this madness. You must believe me! Or don't. All the same to me really :)

Teh Cataclysm!

So yeah, we're a little bit early; in-game, we still haven't defeated Arthas, but as some of you know, our heroes have. So the only natural direction to follow is ... well, The Cataclysm.
That said, I am still very much inclined to taking the comic in a somewhat interesting direction. A bit of a shift in the paradigm if you will. Stay tuned and you'll find out what I'm talking about.
One more thing, in case you haven't figured it out, Vallant fired off the shot at the same time the cataclysm took place. So it was lights out for our heroes in the arenas before the whole world outside had crumbled. Incidentally, it happened as Vallant was taking his shot. And this time, he's entirely not to blame (although he's convinced his shot basically wounded the sun for a short period of time).
