I said it.

I am a student of A Course in Miracles. I believe wholeheartedly that this is the way back to my Father. Wholeheartedly. And so I follow.

But here is the one thing the Course itself teaches, right up front: this is not everyone's path. The Course is not everyone's path. It will make the way home shorter — but it is not the only way. Some people will find their way back in this lifetime through other roads, and that is their path too. I'm not here to tell you the Course is the way. I'm here to tell you it's my way, and I want to tell you why.

The One Mad Idea

The Course tells us a few things that shook me to my core when I first understood them.

This is a dream. We are all the one Son of God — each and every one of us. Jesus was simply the first to fully awaken to his divinity in God. And we are here, in this reality, because of one crazy idea. One mad thought. A what if.

Because of how powerful we are as the Son — because we carry the Father's creativity within us — that "what if" was almost like the spark of the Big Bang. One thought, and time, space, and everything we know as this universe of universes began to unfold.

I have to be honest with you: that was a shock to me. I was raised to believe the world was created by God directly, that He made it the way you'd make something with your hands. And here comes the Course telling me the Son of God had a crazy thought — and that one thought is what became everything we now call the universe, time, everything that there is.

Because that's the thing the Course teaches about how our Father creates. God doesn't make. God extends. Our Father creates by extending Himself. He created the Son — the one Son of God — by extending Himself, and when He extends, everything He is goes into that new extension.

Now, I wasn't there in eternity. I don't pretend to fully grasp the metaphysics of it — and honestly, I don't think the human mind is fully equipped to grasp it yet. We are an extension of everything that is. That's the plain truth of it, even when I can't hold the whole shape of it in my mind.

Why Jesus Spoke the Way He Spoke

I believe Jesus knew this truth while he walked the earth. He was awakening to it in real time. But he had to speak it in a way the people of his time could receive. They didn't have the language for atoms, for photons, for a universe bigger than their village. We do now. And because we do, we can finally begin to understand creation differently than they could.

So — what if what if? What if I were separate from my Father? That was the question. That was the mad idea. And it's the idea that led us here.

But listen — the Son of God never actually left God. It was as if the thought happened, the Son projected this whole world outward from it, and in that same instant, the Holy Spirit corrected it. The whole of creation, everything we are experiencing as history, as time, as life — is one instant in Heaven that was corrected almost as soon as it was formed. That is how powerful the one Son of God is. That is how powerful our Father is.

The Course doesn't just make you understand how big God is. It makes you understand how loving God is. And it makes you understand something about yourself: you, me, we — we are still as God made us. We are still in Heaven, dreaming this reality that was already corrected the instant it was thought. But because we experience it inside of time, it feels linear. It feels like we are walking, step by step, through a story.

We're not lost, though. We are all finding our way back to God. That is the journey every single one of us is on. All of creation is moving home.

"No One Comes to the Father Except Through the Son"

I'll leave the rest of the metaphysics for another day, but I want to say this part clearly, because it's the part that used to trip me up before I understood it.

A lot of Christians, when I tell them we are all sons of God, will quote back to me: "No one comes to the Father except through the Son." And for a long time I didn't know what to do with that verse next to what the Course was teaching me.

But now that I understand the metaphysics, I understand — the Son is us. So to get back to our Father, we have to get back to the Son. And who is the Son? We are perfect creations of God. Perfect extensions of God. We are love, embodied. Joy. Peace. That is who we actually are underneath the dream. This life is the process of getting back to that truth, and getting back to that truth is the getting back to God.

So when Jesus said no one comes to the Father except through the Son — I believe he knew exactly who he was. He remembered he was a Son of God. And the Course is calling every one of us walking this earth to remember the same thing about ourselves. We are sons of God. That is the way back to the Father.

Radical Forgiveness

Our brother — our Self — Jesus has shown us the way back. And the way is radical forgiveness.

When Jesus hung on the cross and said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do," most people hear that as: they didn't realize they were crucifying the Son of God. That's what I used to think it meant too. But that's not it.

First — he was demonstrating radical forgiveness itself. That is the way back to the Son of God. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive.

But when he said they know not what they do — it's because if they were truly living from who they actually are, they never would have done it. They had forgotten. They needed to remember. And if they remembered — my God — everything would be so different.

Just a Movie, While We're In It

The Course tells us this reality is a dream. The only truth is God. The only truth is the Kingdom. So the way back to the Father is to know — even while we're still moving through the story — that this is all a movie playing out inside a dream. It's not ultimately what's real.

But it matters. It's going to help us get back to our Father.

It sounds crazy. I know it sounds crazy. But it is so true.

Make your Bed, Change the World

A wise man once said: if you want to change the world, start by making your bed in the morning.

At the time, people mocked him for it. They called it ridiculous. Small. Beneath the moment. Some called him a charlatan; surely someone serious about changing the world had bigger things to attend to than making their bed. What if that wasn't a stupid, small thing to say? What if it was actually one of the truest things anyone has said about how change really happens?

So many of us look out at the world and feel a kind of helpless anger. We watch Gaza. We watch Sudan, Ukraine, the parts of Nigeria where children are being kidnapped from their own communities. We watch poverty tighten its grip even here in the so-called first world. We watch politicians who no longer seem to pretend they care. And something in us goes numb, because the scale of it is so much bigger than we are.

Some of us don't stop at numb. We move past helplessness into action; we join causes, march, start organizations, try to carve out our little corner of the world and make it better. That instinct is good. It's necessary. But somewhere along the way, many of us come to a harder realization:

To change the world, you have to begin with yourself. You have to change your mind. And if you do that consistently, it doesn't stay contained; it spreads outward. It transforms what's around you, and goes even further.

The Ripple No One Talks About

Picture a man who wakes up angry, already at war with the day. Everywhere he goes, he leaves a trail of it: chaos at home, chaos with his coworkers, chaos with strangers who happen to cross his path. And that chaos doesn't stop with him. It lands in the minds of everyone he touches, and from there it spreads again. One bad morning becomes someone else's bad afternoon becomes someone else's bad week. It triples. Quadruples. It ripples.

We like to imagine we're separate, that our inner world is our own private business and nobody else's. But the earth doesn't actually work that way. We are woven into each other. Interconnected and nothing is truly separate. What we leave behind in the people we meet is, in a real sense, the only thing we ever truly leave. And that which we planted multiples in us and spreads in other. A small emotion becomes magnified, growing bigger and bigger until it is stopped by an opposing force. That is the hidden law of reality. The law that we already know, but somehow fail to truly embody

Getting Your Mind Right, On Purpose

So here's the case for making your bed, or rather, for what making your bed represents: get into the consistent habit of waking up on the right side of it. Every morning, before the world gets its hands on you, sit in the stillness. In the dark, if that's where you find it. Get in touch with how you actually feel. Get in touch with whatever is beyond all of it; call it God, the Creator, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, Source, whatever name fits the shape of your belief. Get your mind right first. Then walk out into the world from that place, not toward it.

Your mindset isn't a footnote to the work of changing the world. It is the work.

Look for whatever in you champions unity, love, and oneness, because that, and only that, is what actually moves the needle. Not one grand gesture, but millions of people waking up, most mornings, a little more aligned with something greater than their own reflex reactions. Setting down the need to feel special or superior. Choosing instead to simply abide with ourselves, and with each other, and to remember that we were never really separate to begin with.

Where I come from, we have a word for this: Ubuntu. I am because we are.

Get in touch with that. Every morning.

A life is made of days. Lets make every day a happy day for all!

Salvation as understood in a course in miracles

In the lens of A Course in Miracles (ACIM), salvation has a very different meaning from traditional Christian theology.

Salvation is not about being saved from God's judgment, sin as a permanent stain, or eternal punishment. Instead, ACIM teaches that salvation is the awakening from the illusion of separation from God.

According to ACIM:

God created only perfect love and unity.

The belief that we are separate individuals, isolated from God and one another, is an error in perception.

The world of fear, conflict, guilt, and lack arises from this mistaken belief in separation.

Salvation is the process of correcting that error through forgiveness and remembering our true Identity as God's creation.

A well-known ACIM statement is:

"Salvation is a promise, made by God, that you would find your way to Him at last."

In ACIM, forgiveness is the primary means of salvation. Forgiveness does not mean overlooking real sins; rather, it means recognizing that what seemed to separate us from God has no ultimate reality. As perception is healed, fear gives way to love, and we remember what we have always been.

From this perspective, salvation is not something earned in the future. It is the recognition, in the present moment, that:

You have never truly left God.

Your true Self remains as God created it.

Separation is a dream from which you can awaken.

If your own understanding is that you are a direct extension or expression of God, ACIM would say that salvation is the acceptance of that fact—not becoming God's child, but remembering that you have always been God's Son, forever united with the Source from which you came.

Hallowed Be Your Name

“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”

For a long time, I repeated those words the way many of us do , familiar, almost automatic. But one day I paused at hallowed be Your name and asked myself what it truly meant. I looked it up. It said, may Your name be truly known and revered. And that stayed with me.

May Your name be truly known.

Because in His name, we find His nature.

Growing up, I heard many descriptions of God. I was told He could be wrathful, jealous, angry. That His mood could change depending on how humanity behaved. Sometimes He blessed, sometimes He cursed. Sometimes He was pleased, sometimes disappointed. These ideas shaped how I thought of Him for a long time, as powerful, yes, but also unpredictable.

But I was also told something else: that God is love, and His love endures forever.

In my own walk with God, in my own life and work, I have come to know Him differently. Not as wrathful. Not as easily angered. Not as distant or changing. I know God as Father. My creator. My source. The best Father there is. A Father who does not withdraw love, who does not fluctuate with my mistakes, who does not love me conditionally.

He lives in me, and I am part of Him. I am part of my brothers and sisters, and they are part of Him too. There is a unity there, a quiet knowing that we are connected in something deeper than appearances.

The God I have come to know is love. He is peace. He is kindness. When He looks upon His children, He sees goodness. He says, it is good. And that goodness is not fragile. It is not easily lost. It is inherent.

So when I say, hallowed be Your name, this is what I mean:

Father, Your name is Love.

Your name is Peace.

Your name is Joy.

Your name is everything that is good.

All You want for Your children is good. All You will for Your sons and daughters is goodness. You are not waiting to punish; You are always inviting us back into remembrance of who we are in You.

To hallow His name, for me, is not just to praise it with words. It is to truly know it. To clear away fear, old stories, and inherited images that no longer reflect the Father I have come to experience. It is to honor His name by living in love, extending peace, and remembering that we are created from goodness and for goodness.

That is the Father I know.

And that is the name I hallow

I keep striving, I keep seeking for what is real

It all fades away

I am sitting on a staircase
filled with things—
worries, possessions, doubt, fears,
the weight of the world

And in an instant, it all fades away

All that is left is me
in a dark, quiet room

nothing in this world is real
but us
and the love we carry

We are weighed down
by the heaviness of conflict
by the demands of the ego
to fight
When everything will be wiped away
in a second,
and all that will be left
is us,
our spirit

I have to walk in this place
to be in this world
But I will not fight the ego’s wars

I give up the need to be
to be right
even if this is impossible
from the ego’s vantage

So I call on my helper

Holy Spirit,
Help me see it for what it is
and move on

Holy Spirit, help me forgive
But the love I share with my brothers
my senior brother
I depend on what Christians call the Holy Spirit

but this is open to each and every one of us

find God in your own way
know the fruits of your Father

the fruits are love
non-judgement
and the sharing of this with others

it is the rejection of the ego
and the turning inward
to find the I AM

it is being still
We shrink the Infinite into something our minds can handle. We put God in boxes, boxes built from our doctrines, our cultures, our fears, and our need to be right. We convince ourselves that our way to God is the only way, when even our own scriptures describe a God who is omni… limitless, boundless, all-present. A God who is everywhere and in everything.

So why do we fight, divide, and even kill for our ideas of God?

Why do we defend our interpretations as if they could ever contain the fullness of the Divine? If God is truly all there is, then why can’t all genuine expressions of God : those rooted in love, compassion, truth, and light, be real and true?

God is.

Simply, profoundly, eternally… He is.

And He is in every one of us.

More than 6 billion unique beings on this earth, each one a distinct and divine expression of the Creator. Extensions of God’s own essence walking in human form. Many of us forget who we are. We get lost in the noise, the fear, the expectations, the pain of the world.

But if we would just be still

if we would pause long enough to listen

we would hear it:

the quiet voice, the presence, the essence of God living inside this body that houses us.

We are expressions.

We are reflections.

We are the children of the Infinite.

And God is far bigger, far more beautiful, and far more present than anything we could ever put into words.

40

At Forty

My soul sings now,

for it has found

what once was lost.

Every atom in me rejoices

in the love I have in You

a love so vast

it breaks the borders

of space and time.

I understand the Good News now.

God, my Father,

our Creator,

loves me with a depth

no mind can hold,

no language can capture,

no universe can contain.

I am a part of You.

I am one with You.

Daily I yearn

to rest in Your presence

to be still,

to know,

to remember

the truth of who I am.

The truth of who we all are.

Let the days ahead

be shaped by boldness,

softened by love,

and guided wholly

by Your will in me,

as it is in the heavens.

Simple

I believe Christianity is meant to be simple.
The message of Christ is simple: Love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Jesus came to remind us that we are children of God , that we share in the inheritance of Christ. We are not strangers to God, but family. We are brothers and sisters in the same divine love. The essence of God is not complicated. We are the ones who complicate it.

Over time, religion has added layers of rules, expectations, fear, judgment, and debate. But when you return to the heart of Christ’s message, it becomes simple again. When you truly open your heart to love, faith stops being heavy. It stops being about proving, performing, or perfecting.

Faith becomes about living.

Faith becomes about loving.

When love is at the center, judgment fades. You stop needing to be perfect. You stop condemning yourself. You stop condemning others. You begin to see yourself and others the way God sees us , with compassion and tenderness.

Christ revealed God not as a distant judge, but as a loving Father. And when I say “my Father” now, I really mean it.

A true father does not abandon.

A true father does not shame.

A true father does not turn away.

A loving father is patient, gentle, and relentlessly kind.

So today, I rest in that simplicity.

I let go of the complexity.

I return to love.

Because the message of Christ was never meant to be hard.

It was meant to be home.

Winter

I absolutely loathe winter, and we are right in the middle of it. But I am grateful for the small moments of beauty it brings. I am grateful for the way fresh snow covers the trees, turning the world into a quiet, white wonderland. I am grateful for the light, fluffy snow that melts on my tongue and the warmth of a cozy fireplace as I sip hot chocolate, cuddled up with my little ones.

Last week, I took my kids to the playground, and I am grateful for the joy we found in running through heaps of snow, laughing as we tumbled down to make snow angels. It was actually fun. So, while I absolutely hate winter, I am grateful for its little quirks that make it just a bit more bearable.

Welcome, 2025! What a gift it is to step into this beautiful new year, and I’m so thankful to be here to experience it.

As I reflect on 2024, I’m filled with gratitude for the journey I’ve traveled. It’s funny how hard it is to clearly remember where the year began—it feels like such a blur now. Every January seems to arrive with a mix of emotions: an anticipatory dread and the weight of uncertainty about what lies ahead. It’s enough to send the mind wandering to darker places. But amid that apprehension, there’s also hope—a flicker of light guiding me into the unknown.

Looking back, 2024 was a year of growth. I was blessed to see my income increase, and for that, I am deeply grateful. My children are healthy and thriving, and their joy and vitality fill my heart with an indescribable sense of peace and happiness. These are the things that remind me how lucky I am.

As I step into 2025, I carry with me prayers and intentions for what’s to come. I pray for continued health, financial stability, love, and happiness—not just for myself, but for everyone around me. I also pray for the strength to face life’s challenges head-on, to walk through whatever storms may come and emerge unscathed. And if there must be storms, I hope they’ll be small and manageable.

With all this said, I am so thankful for the year that was and filled with hope for the years ahead. Here’s to embracing the journey, wherever it may lead. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember.

Lately, I've found myself feeling a bit "off." Life has felt a little lackluster, as if the vibrant colors I usually see have faded into shades of gray. I’ve been caught up in the busyness of life, moving so fast that I started overlooking the beauty in everyday moments. Anxiety, a sense of discontent, and an underlying “blah” feeling started to creep in.

Then it hit me—I’d drifted away from practicing gratitude. It’s one of those simple yet powerful rituals that I’d let slip away, one that helps me find joy in the present and hope for the future. So, here I am, recommitting to gratitude, with the goal of reminding myself each day of just how blessed I am to experience the fullness of life, both the highs and the lows.

Today, I’m grateful for my strength, the resilience that helps me navigate life’s challenges. I’m deeply thankful for my relationship with my husband; we’re in a really good place, and that stability feels like such a gift. I’m also grateful for the freedom I have to manage my own time, to set my own priorities, and not be ruled by a demands of an overlord (aka boss).

And with this renewed focus, I find myself looking forward to whatever exciting things life has in store. Here’s to embracing each day with gratitude!

I’m also thankful for the gift of health, feeling stronger after recovering from a recent viral illness. Just a few days ago, I experienced something truly unforgettable: the Northern Lights danced across the sky, right in my own backyard.

It was a moment of pure wonder, as if the universe opened up just for me. For those few hours, it felt like Earth and the cosmos were one, and in that connection, I felt completely at peace. The beauty of it all—nature’s perfect light show—left me humbled and filled with awe.

It’s experiences like this that remind me of how vast and beautiful life is, and I’m grateful to witness it firsthand. That night will stay with me, a reminder of our connection to something far greater than ourselves. ✨

While I’m not feeling my best, I’ve decided to embrace an understated celebration, sharing a simple dinner with my immediate family.

In this moment, I am filled with gratitude for the most precious gifts in life:
✨ The gift of family—my greatest joy and support
✨ The gift of love—constant, unconditional, and uplifting
✨ The gift of life—each new day is a treasure
✨ The gift of health and provision—always enough, always sustaining

As we gather around the table tonight, I’m reminded of how truly blessed I am. Here’s to many more beautiful years filled with love, gratitude, and togetherness. May we always have reasons to give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. 🧡

Today i went to see "The wild robot" with my son

Yet, without its presence, growth can be an elusive friend. When delivered constructively and received with an open heart, the fruits of this difficult experience can be beautiful.

This week has been one filled with criticism. At first, it was jarring and tough to accept. My pride stood in the way, refusing to embrace or understand the lessons within. But eventually, I calmed myself and took in what was offered. Now, on the other side, I find myself grateful for the wisdom in mother criticism.

I look forward to the arrival of Growth, knowing it is through facing such challenges that I become a better person.
