Pam Shaw was a cabaret singer in her youth and because she put her career first, she let many opportunities for love pass her by. Though she lived the freewheeling life of a cabaret singer, performing under the raunchy stage name “The Sextational Pam,” she says she did not believe in sex before marriage.

But after guarding her virginity for more than five decades, Pam, of Wigan, Greater Manchester, says she is now ready for sex with the right man. She told The Sun that though she is ready for it, the man who would take her virginity would have to marry her first: “I may be 70 years old, but I’m very young at heart. People can’t believe it when I tell them my age. I think I look great – maybe because I’ve never been married or had kids. But now’s the time – I’m ready to take the plunge for the right bloke. My standards are still very high. I’m hoping to bag a millionaire with tall, dark and handsome good looks. I feel I am ready to give marriage a go and maybe go to bed with a man. You are never too old for anything. Just look at Joan Collins.”

Pam, who lived with her mother Lilian until she died in 1995 at the age of 97, assures her prospective suitors she is still a “real catch.” She says: “I’m loads of fun and bundles of energy. I go to salsa and Zumba classes every week and have loads of friends. I like to think I’d be a real catch.”

Mirror reports that during her career, she performed with sex symbols in the entertainment industry such as Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck and Roger Moore but never went to bed with any man.

The Sun reports she said: “I was never short of offers in my heyday – men saw the outfits I wore on stage and thought I would be easy. But I’ve never really been intimate with a man – just a bit of kissing. I had a sexy stage name and dressed sexy, but that was all for my career. There has never really been any time for me to get a man – I worked so much that sometimes I’d only have one hour’s sleep each night.”

Pam won a TV talent show in the 1960s and she opened shows for Ken Dodd and Engelbert Humperdinck, and performed onstage in Las Vegas. She said she even shared a dressing room with the The Voice judge Tom Jones, now 71, when he performed in Bolton Casino for a week. She said: “Tom was very good looking and we used to chat occasionally before I went on stage as the opening act. In the late 60s we performed together. There was only a curtain separating our dressing areas.”

According to The Sun, it was Humperdinck, now 75, who made the biggest impression on her. She said: “Engelbert and I stayed in the same lodging house in Leeds in the late 60s. He always had an eye for the ladies and he was eventually banned from bringing back girls to the guesthouse. Although he was very flirtatious with me, my mum was my chaperone and wouldn’t allow any funny business. One morning I found a note on a toilet roll hanging from the door handle from Engelbert. It said: ‘Please do not disturb; Pamela and her mum snoring.’ I remember watching TV with him when Please Release Me was reviewed on a kids TV show. We were all so pleased when it was considered a hit.”

Pam said what kept her going in celibacy was her strong work ethic. She said: “Just like now, in those day women were throwing themselves at stars. But I’ve always had a very strong work ethic and finding romance always came below getting ahead in my career. I wouldn’t have entertained the idea of sex outside of marriage, and marriage meant giving up on my dreams. Even over the last few years my career is still going strong. I worked with Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle on a feature film called Strumpet in 2002.”

Pam said she once almost got married, to an oil rig worker but she broke it up when she realized she did not really fancy him. She said: “In 1976 I was proposed to by an oil rig worker in Blackpool. I said yes but later broke it off when I realized I didn’t fancy him.”

The Inquisitr comments generously that Pam still stands a good chance of fulfilling her dream. Statistics show “the average person loses his or her virginity at 17.3-years old,” but she is only just “slightly older.”

The tiff began when Hamm (best known as Don Draper on AMC’s “Mad Men”) gave an interview with the U.K.’s Elle magazine. Hamm apparently has a problem with reality TV culture. “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated,” Hamm said. He continued, “Being a [expletive] idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture… You’re rewarded significantly.”

Not surprisingly, Kardashian was none too pleased by the statement. The reality star took to Twitter to voice her own opinion. “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.”

Taking the high road, Kardashian then says, “I respect Jon, and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard, and we all have to respect one another.”

We looked at some of the more than 3,700 comments from Yahoo! TV readers, and a great many side with Hamm. Deb from White Rock, Canada, writes: “THANK YOU JON!! I agree 100%. These so called ‘reality’ shows encourage and applaud bad behavior and influence our kids in the most negative ways possible. These everyday people have become a media hit due only to their controversy not their talent. It’s shameful.”

Another reader writes, “As much as I liked Jon Hamm before . . . I like him even more now.” Similar sentiments were posted by thousands of others. “I am now an even bigger Jon Hamm fan! Kudos to him,” writes a poster. “AMEN!!! Well said Jon Hamm. Thank you for stating what millions of us feel,” a third writes.

But Kardashian does have her defenders. “You don’t make that kind of money unless people are willing to pay for your products. I don’t think they’re stupid at all, but enterprising and playing a rare streak of good fortune. It’s not like they’re being paid out of your tax dollars.”

According to the tabloid: Reggie has promised to marry Kim but only if she can comply with some impossible conditions.

Which are:

1.) Reggie demands that Kim conclude her divorce form Kris quickly and quietly. (You will agree with me that this is looking to be a stumbling block since Kris is attempting to prove in court that he was frauded by Kim – he wants the marriage annulled and pre-nup keeping him muzzled rendered void.) Kim definitely wants to comply with Reggie on this condition of a quiet and quick divorce but will it be easy for the K family?

2.) Reggie also demands that Kim stay off the red carpet if she wants him as a husband.
Lol…Kim stay off the red carpet? Reggie might as well ask Kim to move to ranch or to give up wearing makeup!

But wait, for the mother of all conditions….
3.) Reggie insists that Kim give up reality TV!!!
To me and to many others this is equivalent to asking Kim to enter a coffin and bury herself.

I seriously hope this Reggie of a guy is not serious.

There is no doubt that the story that Kim turned to her former flame for some emotional support after her split from Kris Humphries was true after all.

It was learnt that when Reggie dropped the news to his mom Denise Griffin she was not pleased.

But Kim Kardashian shocked onlookers at Charles De Gaulle airport this morning when she arrived for Paris Fashion Week sporting a large bald spot.

The perennially groomed 31-year-old reality star was seen with a thinning patch at the side of her head.

Kim, who is known for shelling out thousands for her long brown hair extensions, appears to be paying a high price for her hair styling regime.

Naomi Campbell, Alexandra Burke and Tamara Beckwith have all suffered from hair loss as a result of over-tight extensions and weaves – and just general hair abuse.

Trichologists say that quite often with celebrity hair thinning or loss nowadays, hair extensions are to blame.

The traction caused by wearing the hair pieces over long periods of time weakens the hair – which then isn’t helped by chemical and heat treatments like dyes and straighteners.

Today Kim also appeared to be suffering from a bit of bed head as she waited for her luggage at the carousel, with tufts of her hair sticking up at the top of her mane.

Her make-up was slightly duller than normal and she was spotted itching her nose.

She arrived at the show wearing the shoes with an outfit consisting of a pair of beige trousers, a white top and a fur shawl.

Before her arrival in the French capital, Kim also tweeted her excitement over her Parisian trip.

Meanwhile it has emerged that Kim has been busy making sure her wedding guests know that their gifts were not sent in vain.

The reality star sent a letter to everyone who attended her wedding to Kris Humphries, informing them that she had calculated the amount the presents were worth and then made a donation to a good cause.

A note that was sent by Kim to her guests said: ‘I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift.

‘It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation, an organization that I am very passionate about.’

A representative for the star confirmed to Mail Online that the note was from Kim, and that she made the generous donation to the charity, which she has worked with for a number of years.

It has been reported by TMZ that Kim received an incredible $100,000 worth of gifts, but wrote a cheque for twice that amount to the charity for the terminally ill.

However her estranged husband is said to believe that Kim has no right to keep the wedding gifts – he thinks every item should be given back to the guests, TMZ reports.

A source told the magazine that he believes the gifts should be returned because it was a ‘fraudulent wedding’.

Kim married NBA star Kris on August 20, 2011, but the marriage lasted just 72 days.

And the pair are rumoured to have earned $17.9m through publicity opportunities surrounding the wedding.

However the star posted on her website amid the claims: ‘There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.

‘Im so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding, and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.’
