Each day we list the hybrids which have bloomed that day.We continue to do the postings on a day by day basis. We estimate that the flowering is two weeks latter than before.

The concept of Turing Tesselation which we have used to describe Hemerocallis Patterning has been observed an analyzed at the cell level. The Turing bifurcated tesselation has been observed across several hybrids.

Hybrids are now starting and this is first day of crossing besides the species. We have shown several of the ones out today for first time.

July 1, Deer Attack!

Hours ago we had our first major deer attack. Lost 10-15% of hybrids inside fence. Almost landed the deer. Perhaps Bambi lovers would like to resolve this with some face to face negotiations!

We have posted a paper describing the pattern formation in Hemerocallis.This paper uses the canaonical Petit Patterns along with the Turing Space constructs to determine patterns based on gene expression and control of secondary pathways.

We show the blossoming of Buckeye, the first Stout hybrid to bloom this year. It peaked above 97 F yesterday and may hit 100 F today!

A detailed paper and presentation are provided describing how to determine anthocyanin concentrations on a cell by cell basis for Hemerocallis. This technique is then used to estimate genetic pathways.

The bud from H flava has appeared. The plant was from Olallie and has grown quite well since planted in the fall of 2006

April 23, 2008: H minor buds
