Pawan Kalyan Movie title Panja Confirmed

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's new movie is titled 'Panja'. According to the insider hands, after considering several options, the makers have finally decided to have Panja it seems. Pawan Kalyan's Panja first look photos and posters would be unveiled on october 6 for Dussera and it would be interesting to see those photo shoot pictures. Panja movie shooting is all done except for a song that would be shot shortly and post production works are running at a briks pace as well.

Panja movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan and jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Neelima Tirumalasetti. Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues while Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music. Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ongoing Telugu filmPanjaa under the direction of Vishnuvardhan will be dubbed and released in Tamil, the makers announced in a press note. Notably, director Vishnuvardhan is a familiar face in Tamil cinema for his super hits likePattiyal and Billa.
The Telugu version is slated for December release, but it is yet to be confirmed whether the Tamil version would be released simultaneously with the Telugu version. Sarah Jane Dais and Anjali Lavania are the heroines.

Music is by Yuvanshankar Raja and cinematography is by P.S. Vinod. The film is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Neelima Tirumalashetty under the banner of Sanghamitra Arts and Arka Media Works.

Young tiger NTR Junior is back after his debacle ‘Shakti’. This time, he has paired up with the milky white beauty Tamannah under the direction of Surender Reddy. Is it colorful enough? let us see..

Story: Tony (NTR) is a street-side goon in Mumbai who does anything for money and is currently in Hyderabad.

He comes across Niharika (Tamannah) and falls in love with her. After an initial yes and no, Niharika also falls in love with Tony. Meanwhile, Tony joins the gang of Sarkar (Jayaprakash Reddy) and through a sequence of events he reaches the mafia don Azzu Bhai’s (Prakash Raj) brother.

But he starts killing one by one and this leads to conflict between him and Niharika. However, Tony’s killing mission is all for a reason and it has a long flashback. What is that flashback? How is Niharika involved in that? What are the various traits of Tony? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances
NTR Junior comes across with reasonable performance. He underplayed when compared to his natural instincts of histrionics. He was good in dances and delivering few punch dialogues.

Tamannah has come up with a performance driven role. Overall, she did a decent job. The much wanted glamour treat has not worked this time. But still she glowed well in a couple of songs.

Prakash Raj has done this several times. For a change, he arrives only during the second half but as long as he is there, he makes his presence felt.

Payal Ghosh got a meaty role and she made good use of it. Jayaprakash Reddy brought few smiles as Sarkar with his dialogue delivery. Raghu Babu was equally funny as chain Shiva.

Shaam came and went, same with Sayaji Shinde. Rahman was neat. M S Narayana was apt. Murali Sharma was not used to his potential. The other artists just did their bit as required and filled the screen.

Analysis:Surender Reddy proved his mettle as an action and entertaining director with ‘Kick’ so the expectations were high on this one.

With the positive pre-release hype that was making rounds, everything looked set. And watching the first half makes you feel that you can expect another super hit. The interval bang raises the expectations.

But things begin to spiral down during the second half. As such, the thought process of the director is understood but he was unable to conceive it with the right punch on the screen. He lost crispness in narrating. Had the scissors worked well on second half, it would become a better film.

There are those fluctuations which are easily seen and one can feel the drag. The good side of the film is the different treatment to the script and giving an elevation to the heroine’s character. But due to the lack of depth in certain scenes, few situations pass off lightly.

For NTR fans, this will be a different treat. Except one or two high octane dialogues, most of his character is about guessing and unpredictability.

If the makers had focused on increasing the comedy track in the second half along with providing a convincing climax fight sequences, the film would have been a lot better.

At the box office, the film will land in safe zone but expecting it to be a historical grosser is a tough task.

Review

Story

Tony (NTR) is a wily youngster who does illegal things for money. He falls in love with Niharika (Tamanna) during a freak incident. He keeps following her and proposing to her. But she is engaged to some other rich guy. Tony has a secret mission and he is in hot pursuit of somebody. The rest of the story is all about the love story between the lead pair and how Tony achieved his mission.

Artists Performance

NTR: NTR has shown inclination and flair to venture into the path less travelled with the character of Tony. He is very good in entertainment episodes where his fear turns into nightmare for the others (credit should be given for writing team as well). His dialogues are different in this movie. He gave the much needed massy dialogue in the climax episode. His performance in the flashback episode is excellent.

Others: Tamanna has done an important role in the movie. Her performance in the flashback with short haircut is superb. Prakash Raj has done the role of main villain who makes an entrance only in the second half. Jaya Prakash Reddy entertains as a don who is used by NTR. The sidekicks of JP (especially Raghu Babu and Karumanchi Raghu) are excellent. Payal Ghosh (heroine of Prayanam film) did heroine’s friend and she is nice. Sayaji Shinde, Tanikella Bharani, Kick Shyam, Rehman etc have done other prominent roles.

Technical departments

Story - screenplay - direction: The basicstory line is inspired by a Chinese film titled Vengeance (2009). It is a straight narration flick, the script writers have used non-linear format to script the screenplay of Oosaravelli. There are also a few shades of The Departed movie for an episode. Surender Reddy has always made sure that there is stylized content in his movies and this film is no exception. The content and presentation is suave and stylish. The screenplay is sophisticated. Direction is good in parts. However there are a couple of glitches in the basic arch of the story. The basic foundation point that comes in the flashback should have been more emphatic and forceful. When we have terrorist content as hero intro scene in the movie, we expect a heavy fight. But the director dealt it with novelty (see on the screen to know what I am referring to). The back and forth narration is used for the most of the time.

Other departments: Music by Devi Sri Prasad is an asset. The best song of the movie in my opinion is Sri Anjaneyam that comes in the flashback. There is lot of force and emotion in that song. Cinematography by Rasool Ellore is slick. Dialogues by Koratala Shiva are good. Fights composed by Ram - Laxman are good. S Ravinder’s art director is apt. This movie is mounted on a big production scale.

Analysis: First half of the film is nice with decent entertainment. The foundation of the story which comes in the second half should have been stronger. However, the Tamanna’s story in the flashback episode is heartt-touching and emotional. The climax should have been crisp. The plus points of the movie are NTR and different screenplay. On the flipside, better care in terms of commercial elements would have done a world of good. On a whole, Oosaravelli is a different movie for NTR.

Mogudu audio release for Dussehra?

The audio of Gopichand starrerMogudu is likely to be released this Dussehra, i.e. October 6.
The makers are striving hard to release the music on the day of the festival. The film is directed by Krishna Vamsi and has two heroines-Taapsee and Shraddha Das. Nallamalupu Srinivas has produced this film under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.
Mogudu is about a beautiful relationship between a husband and wife of today's generation. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Naresh and Roja are playing the key roles. Newcomer Babu Shankar has composed the songs. The film is scheduled to release on October 21.

Rana not dropped, Ravikumar confirms

Recently a section of the media reported that Rajinikanth's much awaited magnum opusRana has been dropped due to the actor's ill health. But now the film's director K.S. Ravikumar has denied such reports and confirmed that the project is on.
"Though Rajinikanth has recovered fully well and is keen to start the shooting, we have delayed the project, as we don’t want to rush him to start the film shooting immediately, as the film has Rajni playing three characters and also has some stunning stunt sequences," director. K.S Ravikumar said in a press note.
Unlike Muthu and Padayappa, Rana is a period flick! The roles involve intense physical activity like horse riding and each costume weighs around 25 kilos. The shooting dates of the film is likely to be announce in December. Rana has Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone as the leading lady and Sonu Sood plays the baddie. Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman will compose the music while Ratnavelu handles the camera.

The minimum guarantee hero Allari Naresh is back and this time he has paired up with Sneha Ullal. With an interesting title, let us see if he has filled the appetite of the audience or not

Story:Kalyan (Allari Naresh) works as a police informer in Vizag and he keeps passing information to C I Sai Kumar (Dharmavarapu) about local criminals.

One day Kalyan comes across Swapna (Sneha Ullal) and falls in love with her. Swapna is the daughter of JP (Ahuti Prasad) a smuggler of illegal weapons and land mafia. He also has a rival in the form of KP (Jayaprakash Reddy) and both have a godfather in Bangkok Nanda (Ashish Vidyarthi).

The story takes a turn when Kalyan is assigned the task of bringing out the entire information of JP, KP and Nanda and give it to the police. On the other hand, Swapna’s marriage is fixed with KP’s son (Subbaraju). How does Kalyan come out from all this forms the rest of the story.

Performances:Allari Naresh comes up with his usual one liner punches and the satirical quotes. His body language is energetic but this time he had to shoulder the entire film without much contribution from the padding artistes.

Sneha Ullal looks pretty but she has fallen in the hands of a cheap hairstylist and costume designer. Her outfits and hairdos looked terrible and spoiled her glamour. Performance wise, she did her bit as required.

Mariam Zakaria (100% love item song fame) is a live bombshell. She is beautiful, sexy and has the right kind of expressions that can give the ‘turn on’ factor to the male audience. She has the potential to grow.

Ahuti Prasad was alright, Jayaprakash Reddy brought few smiles, Subbaraju was neat, Vennela Kishore was not used to his full potential, Ashish Vidyarthi was apt, Dharmavarapu was decent, Ali was effective, Raghu Babu was good at places, MS Narayana was moderate, Jeeva was okay. The others did their bit as required.

Analysis:Any movie of Allari Naresh comes with a certain standard of comedy which is more intelligent and witty. But that flavor was missing in this one. There was an overdose of spoofs and the trademark Allari Naresh comedy was not seen in the movie.

Usually, he gets good support from the padding artistes and there is a pace in the comedy. But the etching of characters was not proper and few cinematic liberties were totally extreme.

Overall, the film is good in parts and gives you those occasional smiles. It might appeal to those hardcore B,C center audience and a little bit of Allari Naresh fans. At the box office, this might be an average to below average grosser.

Bottomline: Watch it without expectations

Betting In USA On 'Oosaravelli'

Jr NTR starring ‘Oosaravelli’ is going to hit the screens in another 4 days. The speculations are hot on this film now in comparison with the storm being created by Dookudu all over.

The latest estimation is that ‘Dookudu’ will collect Rs 1.5 Cr even in second week (all together it collected around 7 Cr). The betting is going now on the estimated first week collections of ‘Oosaravelli’.

A group says that the first week collections of ‘Oosaravelli’ may not equal even to the second week collections of Dookudu. But the other group says that it will cross. Heavy betting has started on this issue. We have to see the end result only after the release of ‘Oosaravelli’.

10 Crores Package for Sreenu Vaitla??

Taking inspiration from Rajamouli’s wife Rama Rajamouli, Sreenu Vaitla got his wife Rupa Vaitla into costume styling for his films.

Now, it is heard that in same Rajamouli’s style, Vaitla is also planning to take total package for his future films.

Rajamouli takes Rs 10 crores for story, dialogues, music, styling, direction etc. In this, story is penned by Rajamouli’s father. Dialogues are written by Rajamouli’s cousin Kaanchi. We already know about styling. And no need to mention about who does the music as well.

Now, Sreen Vaitla is also planning to take the same route, as per sources. Vaitla maintains five to six writers along with Gopi Mohan, Kona Venkat etc.

Now, it is heard that he has decided to take Rs 10 crores package and this will involve story, dialogues, songs, music, styling, direction like Rajamouli. Sources say this will be implemented for Vaitla’s new film with NTR Junior being produced by Ganesh.

It is heard that when ‘Dookudu’ producers approached Mahesh he said “My dates are with Ramesh Babu, please go and buy from him.” Mahesh was reportedly given a remuneration of Rs 10 crores by the producers and they bought the dates from Ramesh Babu. Also, he was given 20% share in profits.

Now, something similar was also repeated with Mahesh Babu’s ‘The Businessman’. The prince reportedly told R R Movies Venkat to buy dates from Manjula, his sister. But Venkat being a smart businessman understood the loop and instead of profit shares, it is heard that he gave Rs 3 crores to Manjula and signed her off.

When asked about the profit share, Venkat reportedly said to Manjula “The profit share we will deal with Mahesh.” That way, Mahesh added few extra crores to his package and gave a piece of it to his siblings as well, as per the reports.

TV9's Over 'Dookudu'

From the past 10 years, the TV9 channel has been banging the people of Andhra Pradesh with its over-action and is still continuing to do it. As part of that, with ‘Dookudu’ becoming a hit, the channel managed to get an interview of Mahesh Babu with great difficulty. It is just for 15 minutes but TV9 did major hungama by terming it as ‘Exclusive’. By telecasting the program 2-3 times daily, the channel is boring its viewers. Usually, Mahesh Babu stays away from media. It is heard that first he said no to this interview because he was unhappy with the overaction this channel did during his marriage time. Mahesh expressed his displeasure in a live show at that time. But with Ravi Prakash pleading Mahesh Babu for an interview, the star could not say no. He gave interview only for 15 minutes. Now, that interview has been clubbed with the trailers of ‘Dookudu’ and TV9 is creating major chaos by stretching it into a 1 hour program. That’s the story folks.

Siddhu Cried Like A Child

It is known that a few months ago Siddarth made some grey comments on media and apologized for the same, a couple of days ago. But that didn’t happen easily. A big high drama had run behind Siddhu saying sorry to media. This has come to light little late.

Media channels have taken decision not to publicize any film in which Siddhu works. Dil Raju made many attempts to make Siddhu say sorry to media. But he didn't agree. Dil Raju went serious on Siddhu as well.

In that situation, Prakash Raj intervened and convinced Siddhu. Finally, Siddhu agreed uninterestingly and said 'sorry' to media in a press meet organized at Dil Raju's office. After the Press Meet, Siddhu went inside and broke down into tears. He was angry on Dil Raju for forcing him to do something he hates.

His argument was, "What's wrong in my comments on media when media writes every nonsense about me".
