Naga Chaitanya’s new movie under the direction of talented director Sukumar, was launched in Annapoorna Studios on Monday, 7th morning.

Produced by the reputed Geetha Arts banner, Allu Arvind is presenting the movie along with Vasu. The launch saw the presence of Chaitanya’s grandfather and movie moghul D.Rama Naidu do the pooja for the movie along with dad Nagarjuna who had the clapboard. Nagababu switched on the camera, while Rajamouli directed the first scene and Akkineni Nageshwara Rao handed over the script to the director.

Speaking on the occasion, Allu Arvind was happy with the script and said that Sukumar always approached him first with any script. They decided to cast Chaitanya even before his ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’. He added that though his banner is predominantly producing with his relatives, his banner is open to other actors as well. Tamanna will be Naga Chaitanya’s heroine in the movie. She was happy that she’s doing a straight Telugu movie after a year and her role demands a lot of performance.

Director Sukumar expressed his happiness over the project. He informed the press that this movie will be a romantic entertainer with action.

Sukumar’s favourite music director Devi Sri Prasad will handle the music for this movie.

Vedam 2nd in Google Search

This doesn’t get any better. On June 4th, the day when Vedam was released, Vedam Reviews search was the second hottest item to be search in Google, USA’s hot searches.

Within hours of the morning show, ‘Vedam’ saw excellent reviews being propagated through out. USA saw the movie before it released in India and quite a few NRIs were already spreading the good word about the movie. Back in India, a few directors even planned to watch the movie on the first day itself for the mouth publicity the movie was receiving.

Director Krish has brought an amazing movie no doubt. With a ‘Nandhi’ award in his first movie itself, it is quite obvious another one is waiting for him, for ‘Vedam’. He is in that unique list of directors, where he has exceeded the expectations in his second movie itself. With great ideas, great responsibilities follow.

Don Seenu Returns from Switzerland

The film unit of, Crazy Star Ravi Teja and the beautiful Shriya Saran starrer, ‘Don Seenu’ has returned from Swtizerland after completing its shooting formalities.

‘Don Seenu’ is presented by K. Achi Reddy and produced by RR Movie makers for producer Venkat and co-producer V. Suresh Reddy. This movie is hinted to be a crazy entertainer by director Gopichand Malineni.

Talking about the progress of the movie, producer Venkat informed that the film’s unit spent almost 45 days in Switzerland, Spain, Barcelona, Ireland and Dubai. Three songs and a few important scenes were shot in these locations. The producer went on to add that the movie’s coming out really well, thanks to director Gopichand. The producer expressed his happiness about Ravi Teja acting in their banner after the super hit ‘Kick’.

The latest update from ‘Don Seenu’ is that the film unit will go to Rajahmundry and the shooting will start from June 6th for 10 days. After completing the shooting in Rajahmundry, the remaining parts of the movie will be shot in Hyderbad.

Members of the cast include Sri Hari, Shiyaji Shinde, Nasser, Bramhaji, Delhi Rajeshwari, Sathyam Rajesh and handling the comedy will be Bramhanandam, Ali, Sunil, Raghu Babu and others.

Ileana replaces Anushka

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s next movie after ‘Komaram Puli’ is going to be a remake of hit Hindi movie ‘Love Aaj Kal’.

Producer turned comedian Ganesh Babu will be producing this movie with Trivikram writing the dialogues and Mani Sharma composing music for the film. Jayanth C Paranji, who is good at adapting movies, will be directing the film. The movie was launched amidst fanfare at a function in Hyderabad, under the Parameshwara Arts banner.

The producer was in search of a nice story and finally he settled for a remake. But due to date issues with Bollywood actors, he thought of Samantha and Anushka initially as heroines. Later Anushka was signed for the lead role.

But the latest buzz is that Anushka has demanded a whopping Rs 1.5 Crores for the movie. The producers find it too high. She has charged Rs 2 Lakhs per day for her upcoming movie ‘Vedam’. But with the big banners, the number of days would increase and could cross 1.5 Crores.

However the producers were not happy with the idea and replaced Anushka with Ileana, as she was ready to adjust her dates. Thus the hit pair of Pawan-Ileana will be back after ‘Jalsa’.

Jayanth has plans to show both the leading actors in stylishly and is planning to release the movie in January, 2011. A part of the movie will be shot in USA as the original movie was partially shot in and around San Francisco. The movie has been tentatively titled Ninna Nedu Prema, but has not been finalised yet.

Pawan will be seen in a dual role in the film. It has been heard that Deepika Padukone has been signed for a cameo in the movie too. The film is scheduled to start its shooting from July.

Director Shankar’s yet another magnum opus, “Robot” starring Superstar Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai had completed 80% of its shooting. The inside story of Congress couldn’t have been more confusing than what it is now. Just a day after Abhishek Sanghvi, Congress Spokesperson quashed down rumours that Jagan will be called by the High command, he’s facing the ire of state Congress leaders. Minster for Women and Child Welfare, Konda Surekha expressed her displeasure at the statements made by Sanghvi and quoted that his statements have hurt the sentiments of the people in the state. She also demanded that CLP meeting should be immediately convened and the new CM should be appointed, indirectly throwing her weight behind Jaganmohan Reddy. On the other hand, Nizamabad MP, Madhu Yakshi accused KVP Ramachandra Rao of escapism. He’s gunning for KVP’s head on the pretext that he should take up the moral responsibility since he was the Chief Security Advisor to the government. He indirectly hinted that a special list of those expressing dissent is being prepared.

Meanwhile, KVP is in Delhi to meet some leaders and Jagan is also expected to join him on 23rd when he will go to Delhi to attend another meeting. No BC reservation if Annual Income is more than Rs.4 lakhs!

The creamy layer ghost has come to haunt the reservations category once again. The state government has issued orders that the BC reservation will not be applicable to those whose annual income is more than Rs.4 lakhs. GO 496, issued by the Government suggested that the people with over Rs.4 lakhs income shouldn’t benefit in any of the Government jobs. The state Subordinate service has made the proper amendments to bring those GO into effect. The creamy layer concept was first introduced in 2006 by GO-3 for Education and other employments. However, a lot of BC organizations had protested against this order and the government backtracked. The present order has been issued following the directives from the Central government.
