DESKTOP COMICS: ADVENTURE 1

Panel 1 – Batman is hanging in the top of a beaker of acid, in the middle of deserted roadway, surrounded by his villains. Batwoman wanders by walking Krypto.

Batwoman: Um, Batman? What’s Up?
Batman: Batwoman! Uh. Nothing, Nothing is up.
Batman to self: (dang, I was hoping no one would see this!)
Batman Villains: We’re dunking Batman in ACID!
Riddler: He doesn’t fit. We need a bigger beaker.
Krypto: Ruh Roh!

Panel 2 – Same scene, different point of view

Batwoman: Do you need some help?
Batman: No! No, I’m good.
Lizard Man: This was the biggest beaker I could find.
Riddler: I guess we could just wait for a car to come.
Krypto: Ra ha ha!

Panel 3 – Wonder Woman shows up

Wonder Woman: What the heck is going on here?!
Batwoman: They’re dunking Batman in acid.
Villains: We’re dunking Batman in ACID!
Batwoman: I’m calling Supergirl. She’s gotta see this.
Krypto: I’ll save you, Batman!

Panel 4 – Supergirl arrives

Supergirl: Oh my gosh! Is that ACID?
Wonder Woman: Yep!
Batwoman: I wish I had my camera.
Villains: Yes! We’re dunking Batman in ACID!
Supergirl: Krypto! Stay away from there!
Krypto: R-R-R-UFFF!

Panel 5 – Batgirl shows up, finally.

Batgirl: Why are you all just standing around?!
Batwoman: He said he didn’t need help, Batgirl.
Supergirl: (Poor Batman.)
Wonder Woman: (Hilarious.)
Batgirl: Oh, for Pete’s sake! Get him out of there!
Batman: Well, as long as you’re all here, I suppose you could help. Not that I couldn’t do it myself.
Batman to self: (eventually. My toes are starting to hurt, though.)

Panel 6 – Batman is rescued, and his villains are tied up in a pile on the floor. A small pile.

Wonder Woman: Funny, your villains look so much larger in the comics, Batman.
Batman: That’s cause I shrink-rayed them!
Batgirl: Yeah, I’m pretty sure they’ve always been this size.
Krypto: Poor Batman!

[Note: the beaker was actually filled with Mountain Dew. No Batmans were harmed in the making of this comic.]
