六旗游乐园(Six Flags Great Adventure)：真心话还是大冒险

　　位置：美国新泽西建立时间：1974年设施数目：45座，包括13座过山车六旗游乐园本来是个名为“大冒险”(Great Adventure)的私人公园，十多年前被六旗集团收购后，几乎每年都在往外扩张与增添新设施。

名为“京达卡”(Kingda Ka)的最新过山车是世界上最快的过山车，它的高度达到了139米。开始时水压弹射器将游客乘坐的车速提高至每小时206公里，穿过270度的环形通道，让人有强烈的失重感。

　　新添的项目还有拥有4.45万平方米丛林的黄金王国，在此小朋友可以一边搭乘机动车，一边看老虎表演。

SPRING FLING-TUESDAY, APRIL 12TH
As spring season has approached lately, Temple is offering everyone a chance to enjoy the nice weather on Campus! We will be having our annual Spring Fling this coming Tuesday, April 12th! It is a fun event which the entire campus will be full of students/faculties, and you will get to see what kind of student organizations are out there! Each organization might be selling different things that day, and we are as well! The event starts at 9am till 4pm, thus we need volunteers to help out at this event!

Please send us an email to let us know if you are interested in helping out, since we as officers might be going to classes some time during the day. Please include your NAME, and CONTACT INFO., and TIME AVAILABLE. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Hope you guys had a great fall semester!! We were happy to have your support along the way. As this semester ends, a new semester is coming up in the spring. We will have many more fun events going on, so don't worry that you did not have the chance of getting involved in our organization. First thing happening is the Blind Date Auction event taking place in January. For those of you who are still single, get the chance and apply ASAP!!!! Another thing we need to point out is that the Chinese New Year Celebration is coming up in February. The most exciting point is that we are holding this event with UPenn and Drexel University! Remember we've mentioned about the Blind Date Auction during our First General Meeting? It is a perfect opportunity for YOU (if you are single) to find your Mr./Ms. Right!!!! 1. Applicants: (Refer to picture above) It can be a solo game or a pair game. You are ONLY applying to be in the "hot seat." You may apply by yourself or with another person. If you want to sign up in the pair game we will need two separate applications.
2. Both gender can play. Specifically in the pair game, it can be a boy and girl in the hot seat.
3. Questions: The person in the "hot seat" may pick questions from the box created by officers OR they may want to ask their own.
4. Participants will be randomly pick from the audience. They can accept it or reject the offer to play. IF they accept, someone else from the audience can steal the seat by bidding for it. Minimum bid starts at $5.

Hope all of you had a great summer. For those of you and parents who have just arrived in Philadelphia, even the United States for the first time, we sincerely welcome you!! We, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at Temple University, also would like to congratulate you of becoming a part of our Temple family. We are a student body organization at Temple University, which is composed of hundreds of Chinese students, alumni, faculties and other members. Our goal is to help all of the Chinese bodies at Temple University as best as we can. Temple University President Ann Weaver Hart, Provost Lisa Staiano-Coico, and the Office of International Affairs invite you to Celebration of Globalization Concert May 2, 2010, 3:00 p.m. Baptist Temple, 1837 N. Broad Street Honoring 2010 Global Award Winners.

Mayor Michael Nutter will be honored with the Globalization Philadelphia award for his leadership in internationalizing and Robert J. Reinstein, Clifford Scott Green Professor of Law and former dean of Beasley School of Law and vice president for international affairs will be awarded Globalization Temple award. Reinstein was instrumental in the establishment of TUJ and Temple Law in China and the successful operation of Temple Rome. Temple University Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA) will be hosting an election for the 2010-2011 staff members.

Personnel Director (one person)

Information such as your first and last name, year, major, personal contact information, past experiences with student organizations and what position you are interested in MUST be included in the email.
