   <title>iPhone 4 comes to Verizon</title>
   <link>http://www.tdtnews.com/story/2011/02/10 00:00:00/72331</link>
<description>People started lining up in the chilly pre-dawn hours today to buy the iPhone 4 with Verizon service. The Verizon store in Temple, which opened with extra staff at 7 a.m., provided a shelter and hot coffee for the earlybirds. Verizon wouldn't release the number of sold in its initial offering to the public, but said there was no shortage of buyers in Temple. "We had a gung-ho crowd ready to purchase the phones," said Verizon district manager Abby Rodriguez in Austin. "It definitely met all the expectations for the Temple area."
The store had a lunch hour rush, at which time UMHB student Brittany Bailey, of Belton, bought her phone after classes. Before her contacts were imported to her new phone from her old phone, she sent her first text message on her purple-cased phone to her best friend.</description>
