If massages count, those are probably the priciest beauty-related purchase I’ve made. Totally worth it! After that, lipsticks/lipglosses like Guerlain’s Rouge Gs, which are $48, and Cle de Peau #2 Lipgloss, which is also $48.

This weekend has been insane!  I think I’ve been physically home for about six hours this weekend, excluding the six hours I spent sleeping in my bed on Saturday. I’m utterly exhausted!  I hope you had a fantastic weekend

My Picks

• Most Overrated: Tom Ford — not that these are used by everyone, but I see a lot of raves for it, and while it’s a good formula, I don’t think it’s the best on the market and the color range is very basic and fairly dupe-able.
• Most Underrated: Shiseido Perfect Rouge — it’s a really creamy, moisturizing range with a good variety of color, but I rarely see anyone mention them!

Bobbi Brown Bellini High Shimmer Lipgloss

Bobbi Brown Bellini High Shimmer Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “nude pink with pearl.” It’s a light-medium yellow-toned pink with pink and silver sparkle. MAC On a Holiday is similar with less sparkle. YSL Golden Peony is similar but has gold shimmer. There are a lot of sheer glosses to choose from–they just have varying degrees of shimmer!

It intensifies the natural pink tones in lips but doesn’t add a ton of color; it does add a lot of sparkle. This shade is semi-sheer, but if you have more pigmented lips, it’s going to seem rather sheer on you and just deposit some sparkle. Bellini definitely does not have nearly as much shimmer as some of the other shades in the range, so that may be good or bad depending on your needs. I’m always reaching for one of these glosses when I’m not testing something else, because they add a lot of dazzle and glimmer. The sparkle doesn’t feel gritty, and it doesn’t travel. When I tested Bellini, it wore for three hours, and my lips felt hydrated both during and after I wore it. This formula is non-sticky, not too thick or too thin in texture, and mint-scented.
