Possible slow newsletter sends today - mail server work in progress

For all Tendenci clients planning on starting off this beautiful week with a newsletter, please be aware that any large newsletter mailings may potentially be running a bit slow today.

After a late night bout with an unhappy mail server, all of our Tendenci-driven newsletter and site email is currently running on a different server as we look into it.

Your newsletters will get to their intended destinations without a hitch, but you may have a little longer of a wait depending on your newsletter volume.

SchipulCon Web Marketing conference starts tomorrow!

Our team has been getting crazy-excited for this week's SchipulCon event at the Houston Zoo. Check out the SchipulCon agenda for information, learn about our great speakersand brush up on your Zoo animal trivia!

New newsletter editor coming this week in Tendenci!

The Tendenci developers have been working hard on an updated editing tool for your Tendenci newsletters!

Later this week, we'll be releasing an *optional* new Tendenci newsletter WYSIWYG editor for you to play with. You'll find much of the same functionality, but will enjoy an expanded editing space (no more scrolling - yay!), improved rich media embedding and a more consistent, better behaving editing experience.

WYSIWYG stands for: What You See Is What You Get. This new editor tool will help further ensure that you're seeing and achieving the formatting results you are looking for to keep your newsletters looking great.

You will have the option to stick with the original newsletter editor if you prefer, but we want to get your feedback on how this updated editor works for you and your orgainzation. Stay tuned for more news!

Sending out newsletters to your clients and members is a great way to communicate quickly and effectively. With all the content, the rich media and the formatting, we get that it can be a challenging and labor-intensive process.

This year's Tendenci software and Schipul Web Marketing conference (now lovingly called SchipulCon) will be at the Houston Zoo on October 15 - 16th!!

Topics will range from some very exciting new Tendenci 5.0 feature showcasing by our Programming team to Social Media training to Web marketing strategies to online Community building classes. Know of a non profit or wannabe Web guru? Invite them to attend!! All are welcome :)

Tendenci Powered Culintro Site Quickly Attracts 1,500 Members

Culintro, the Culinary Trade Organization for restaurant professionals, is off to a fast start. Just a few months after launching the organization with a Web site powered by Tendenci, Culintro has registered its 1,500th member. That's pretty amazing. Clearly, there was a need in the restaurant industry for the types of services that Culinto is delivering. Their Web site enables members to post jobs, review job listings and post resumes -- a critically important service in this difficult economy and one that every organization should be providing. They also have events and promotions -- mostly in the New York City area for now, but likely to expand as the organization continues to mature. Congratulations to Culintro on their successful launch!
