The Sun was out..The Weather fine.. And Spirits high!
The ladies of the British Embassy lessons group were graciously hosted for a "friendly" competition by the ladies drill classes of the Friends of the sacred Heart tennis circle. As many nervously waited for what was to be their first actual Tennis match ever,The Introductions were made and the first ball hit, then the butterflies lifted away to be replaced by much merriment and smiles all around
The Round Robin format promised that each doubles team would play three matches against players from the other side. The format worked famously as many of the matches were not decided until the very last game, and after twenty-four hard fought doubles matches the final score found a minniscule seven games separating the two teams. On top were the net-rushing ladies from the British Embassy but even so, Everybody walked away a winner from these games....with the promise of a return match next season.
This could be the start of something....Fun!!
The Visitors from the British Embassy lessons class Included
Helen Freedman, Sally Brennan, Karen Black, Kirsty Mead, Claire Liethead, Mizuho Mehlig, Maki Miyanaga, Judy Brown, Tracy Aston, Nataqsha Pope, Victoria Lea, Louise Harding, Catherine Huent and also supporting the team were Terri Mckenzie, Louise Krusche, Dee Phelps and the team was coached by Allen Krissman USPTA
The Friends of the Sacred Heart Tennis Circle (ISSH) Included
Alicia Bullensen, Alison Bradford, Camilla Elliot, Claudia Niederer, Danielle Brown, Denise Lautenbach, Nancy Wigers, Leanne Stone, Jeniffer Prowse, Catherine Sinegal, Susan Prout, Jane Quinn, Jodie Riley, Trudy Williams and the Team was coached by Adrian Sands USPTA
Congraulations to All!
