Why wait until high school to join a tennis team?
USTA Junior Team Tennis brings together boys and girls, ages 6 to 18, to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other coed teams. Beyond being fun and a great form of exercise, Junior Team Tennis is a competitive, level-based environment that promotes individual growth, social growth and life skills.

Why Junior Team Tennis is Right For You
With Junior Team Tennis, you’ll learn about unity, sportsmanship and how to work together to achieve success. You’ll also learn that success isn’t just about winning; it’s about how you play the game and respond to challenges.

Parents can get involved in Junior Team Tennis, too. If there isn’t a Junior Team Tennis league near you, your parent can start a team!
Nearly 100,000 kids nationwide play Junior Team Tennis annually, thanks to the parents who donate their time and talents. In fact, your parents can get involved today, whether they’re pros or if they’ve never picked up a racquet. They can even start a team if there isn’t one nearby.

Local Junior Team Tennis or Championship Junior Team Tennis: Which is right for me?
Junior Tennis Team follows two tracks to provide opportunities to players of all abilities: Local Junior Team Tennis or Championship Junior Team Tennis. The local track allows kids and team organizers to play on local level with flexible structures, while the championship track provides teams the opportunity to advance to a national championship – the crown jewel of the USTA Junior Team Tennis season.

League Info
Love Stinks Tennis League (LSTL), is York’s premier non-profit, player-powered tennis league. Founded in 2004, LSTL exists to provide local and area players a slate of matches against other members with similar skill sets and playing abilities during the course of the Spring, Summer, and Fall outdoor seasons. Not affiliated with or organized by any club or organization, the LSTL is a league designed by players for players and run by players, and allows players of both competitive and recreational backgrounds the ability to compete against each other within a structured, yet flexible, league format.

Popularized by its player-friendly “make your own time and place” scheduling method, LSTL allows players to schedule matches on their own time, and at a place and time convenient to both competitors. Site locations all over York County have been utilized by players, including (but not limited to) the courts at Central York HS, Dallastown HS, Farquhar Park, Penn State York Campus, Red Lion HS, Springettsbury Park, Susquehannock HS, West York HS, York College of PA, York Suburban HS, and many more. The league encourages players to always select a free, outdoor location as the site of their matches in order to avoid the costs that come with club-run courts and/or indoor facilities and remain within the spirit of a low-cost, “wallet-friendly” league.
