Alva Noto - Xerrox vol. 2

I'm not usually a fan of the Raster-Noton label. I find the music too academic - the musical equivalent of a white paper on acoustics. However this album fuses the micro-tonal blips and crackles of Raster-Noton with samples from Michael Nyman, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Stephen O'Malley and in the process creates some beautiful noisy soundscapes.

Essential bedtime listening!
