The 2019 TNYC Lobster Boil will take place at the TNYC clubhouse on Saturday, June 22 at 5:30 (rain, shine or snow). All HMPC members are welcome. This is our most popular social event and is a great opportunity for all boaters in the Holyrood marina to get together to kick off the boating season. </p>



<p>Cost is $25 per person (plus $10 if you want that extra lobster on your plate). Veggie option is $10. Pre-ordering / pre-payment is required.</p>



<p>You can place your order (lobster or steak) and arrange payment with Debbie Churchill, TNYC Social Committee, at debbie.a.churchill@gmail.com or 895-3137 by Saturday, June 15. We can take e-transfers, cheque or cash (e-transfer is preferred). We will need to receive payment before we purchase the food. Sorry, refunds cannot be given after Wednesday, June 19. </p>



<p>The menu consists of potato, garden and pasta salads; steak or lobster; dinner roll; baked potato; dessert; tea and coffee. Each person is responsible for bringing their own alcoholic beverages.  </p>



<p>We will also be selling tickets on prize draws, so bring your loonies and toonies. Donations of prizes would be appreciated. All profits go into the TNYC Social Committee.</p>



<p>AN ADDED BONUS: After the dinner, Trevor Giles&#8217; Band will play for us and will open the mic for anybody who wants to entertain the crowd. </p>

<p>It seems that there may be a risk of spring actually arriving after all.  With that in mind, just a short note to all skippers and crew that the tentative plan, as of now is to begin launching on the 18th of May and proceed as per tradition, through that week until all hands are afloat.  </p>



<p><br>As you are aware, there are some repairs required to be at the ready for this date but they have been going well and if work and weather is more or less agreeable, the tentative date will be doable.</p>



<p><br>There will be an absolute official launch schedule and date announced as soon as we have everything set to go as we don&#8217;t want to have any &#8220;false starts&#8221; &#8211; We will release this information as soon as it is firm.<br>As a rough indicator of who will be going in, when &#8211; it will be close to the reverse order of coming out last fall.</p>



<p><br>Again,not written in stone, yet but we just wanted to be sure folks had some idea to guide their prep.</p>

<div class="clear">Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation Minister Christopher Mitchelmore, along with MP Ken McDonald, area MHA Betty Parsley and Holyrood Deputy Mayor Jim Joy spoke to a small gathering of residents and media Wednesday morning at the town hall about the plans for the marina upgrades.</div>

<p>All of the speakers emphasized that expanding the ocean sector in Holyrood would be beneficial in terms of community growth, job creation and attracting tourism to the town of about 2,500 people.</p>
