I just couldn't take it anymore. You know, those jewelry pictures that leave you wondering how the heck did they get that shot? You know the ones...perfectly composed, clear shot, and with bokeh to die for? Well, I tried EVERYTHING and couldn't get those results. I even shoot with a Canon Rebel and sometimes with my son's Canon 7D. It drove me crazy! Even with those great camera bodies and

Cedar wall for booth display & New designs

UPDATE: I recently did a tutorial on Love My Art Jewelry on how to make this wall here: TUTORIAL

I wanted to share our new cedar wall for craft fairs and also new jewelry designs. When doing craft fairs I had two tables opposite each other in my 10' tent and I noticed it was very crowded and people would just walk by my tent and not enter. I wanted to make my tent more inviting, cozy and

Fancy new fabric for jewelry stands & Outdoor adventures

My new and improved stands are ready for use for my next venue! I will be a vendor at the American River Music Festival starting September 13th through the 15th. We had lots of fun last year and are looking forward to seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new people.

The new stands are covered in micro suede from Joann's. Here is the link to the actual fabric. That works for me most of the time but not in blogging. I realize I have to be more of a participant. So first I want to share with you where it is I go when my creative juices are flowing.

I am extremely grateful for my little studio. Back in December we had to make a transition to a new home and I wasn't even sure I would have one. First, the process is relatively simple, you apply a stencil to a product and then sandblast the stencil's image with a special abrasive applied at high pressure. The abrasive then erodes the surface in the open areas of the stencil and leaves a permanent carved impression.

I know, it sounds boring but it's actually quite fun to do.

You can find them here.

When designing my booth for craft fairs I struggled with the options that were available for jewelry stands. I couldn't find any I liked and wanted them to compliment my pendant necklaces and make a statement. I made twelve of these with different fabrics and am very happy with how they turned out.
