How to count in binary/ convert dinary to decimal

2014-08-08T17:11:00.001-04:00

You might think counting in binary is hard but its not. Like first talk about what binary is. Binary is a number system that just use a 1 or 0 this can also be called on or off. All computer run using binary so if you think about all your computer is doing right now is turning off and on a lot, it also used in networking a lot.

Now let move on to how to count using binary. What do you need to know to get started. Well binary has a base of two where decimal has base of 10. You also need to know that in binary we actual count the zero. So lets get start.

When counting in binary we only count where this is a 1. each position has a value by that I mean the first position is 2^0 the next is 2^1 and so on. But we need to keep in mind that unlike reading where we go left to right, when counting binary we go right to left( this is the hard part you will find your self a lot of the time going left to right). To count we need to find all the value for the position where there is a one then add them all up together like the following example:

1    |1    |1     |1
2^3|2^2|2^1|2^0 =15 (1+2+4+8 = 15)

1    |0    |0     |1
2^3|2^2|2^1|2^0 =9 (1+8 =9)

0 = 0
1= 1
2= 10
3 = 11
4=100
5=101
6=110
7=111
255= 11111111

So lets go through an example where we are given some binary number and need it in decimal form:

101010111

Our first step would be to find the values of the position where there are ones

1+2+4+16+64+256

Now we can add them all together

1+2+4+16+64+256=343

As you see it is not hard to count in binary it actually easy. If you are still have trouble with counting and changing it to decimal. I will be having a video put in the next week that will help. Just don't give keep trying and you will get it.

Some upcoming post to keep your eye out for will be networking 101, How to convert to hex and Digital system 101.

Big News:

I plan on developing some labs and course around binary and much more. All the labs you will be able to do at home. ( Keep in mind you may need to buy parts to do them but we will be building everything need at a low cost)

Is it worth becoming a Computer tech

2014-08-08T14:46:00.001-04:00

With the world of computer always changing and growing around us you find your self asking if worth it to start working on them for a living. Well my answer is it's not worth just to become a basic computer tech. Becoming a computer tech is not hard at all and usually dose not pay that well. Becoming a admin or a more advance computer tech is worth it . Now you might be asking why will the simple fact is a basic computer tech can just a little more then what most user can do at home on their own. On the other hand there are a lot jobs in the computer field jobs in networking, servers, programing and more that are worth it.

Now keep in mind if you are looking for a easy job then keep looking the world of computers is very hard and stressful job to deal with it but every awarding. The one thing that you can never stop doing in this felid would be to stop learning because know one in this field can know everything there just way to much to know.

Now when picking what job you want to do in the computer field and where you want to work can be hard. I myself got lucky and work for a small company that dose everything. We work on servers, networks, computers, we are aspect to be able to handle anything that comes are way. Which is really stressful at times, but when you learn how to router a network or you solve a problem that was difficult then it all worth it. To work with computers you should be able to think logically, be able to solve problems on the fly, good with math and able to learn quickly. Oh and you will need good communication skills. You might be asking yourself why communication, well being a computer tech of any level you will need to be able to talk to your costumer and document your findings too. Computer tech just don't sit in the dark corner of the offices waiting for computers to fix.

If you still think this job might before you then start looking at schools find a school with a good computer program. After school find a job in the field. Now it time to work on your certifications. There are many different certifications you can get depending one what you want to do. So take come time and look them up and start getting those. They will really help you get your foot in the door.

Remember that as computer tech you will need to know more then just computers. The company that you work for will most likely have you fix anything that has power going to it. So be ready to think on your feet. Also one thing to keep in mind when deciding is that you might not work 9-5 and you could be called in at all hours of the night if anything happens. Also you haft to be able to deal with pissed off people.

With all that said I would not change my job for any other job. I love learning new things and the feel you get at the end of the day when you defeated that computer or network that just would not work. My finally words of advice is to forget about money and find a job that makes you happy to go to work every day and dose not fully suck all the life out of you.

The Expendables 3: perview

2014-08-08T14:16:00.000-04:00

The Expendables has been I great set of movie, they are one the few movies that I can watch over and over again. They are just action packed masterpiece and top of that with every new movie they just keep adding more and more of my fav action movie stars. The Expendables 3 seems like it is not going disappoint. The cast for Expendables is top notch Sylvester Stallone, Weseley Snipes, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Ronda Rousey, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Antonio Banderas and with the addition of Mel Gibson easily one of my top 5 favorite action actors of all time. I cant wait to see Barney and his time take down Conrad Stonebanks. I would say more about the plot but I would rather just like this trailer do the talking for me. Online Gambling is it worth or not

2014-08-08T13:51:00.002-04:00

In todays world with the thrill of gambling at the tips of your fingerings almost anywhere now, thanks to the ever evolving internet. It hard not to spend some of that hard earned money on the chance that it just might become a lot of cash in seconds. But is all really worth the risk that come with it.

I think that some gambling is ok. But you haft to really be able to set limits for your self and know when to walk away, or else you could end up with any empty bank account and bills and food to buy and the chance of winning big is not worth losing everything that you worked hard for. If you are the kind person that just seems to take everything over board then do not go anywhere near gambling at all. Or you might just wake up one morning and wonder where everything went. All your friends money and your house. I am that kind of person and that's why I stay away form it as much as I can. When I start gambling I find that I'm always chasing the high you get from winning. But I always come out losing because of that.

The other day I was trying my hand at some online gambling again and I start to think that it funny how I always win for a bit then out of know where I start losing. Which made start thinking about how easy it would be to program the game I was playing to let you win and then take all your money. It just math and all takes is changing some of the numbers in the program and the house will always come out on top in the end. Keep in mind I'm not saying that this is actually done. I'm just saying that it would not be hard to actually do.

I have gamble but luckily I stopped my self before I got in too deep. I stopped after getting engaged. I start to think why I'm wasting all this money I never win it back and even when I win it not enough to cover my losses and then there's the time that it takes I spending hours on end at my computer just so I could feel the high of maybe winning some money.

So I have decide not gamble anymore I would rather. Use my money to take my woman out, or buy something I really want. It not worth the risk. I would rather work hard and make something of my self and then try to when big at gambling. Now I'm not saying I would not be happy if I did, I just do not think that it worth the risk there's to many unknowns in it. The following is list of step that has helped me step away form online gambling.

1. Start going out with your friends more (as long as they are not going to Gambling)
2. Find a hobbies that you can put time into
3. Spend more time with family
4.Start trying to better your self
5.Find your self( get to know your self better)
6.Watch movies
7. find a sport to play.

There are a lot more ways to help you but these are the main ones that I have found that have helped me a lot to break the chains of gambling.

I know that post was kind of off topic but I want to share some of my life with you.

How to deal with a shitty summer Job:)

2013-05-29T19:47:00.002-04:00

So you find your self working a shitty summer job, now how to make this job better. The first things first let me tell you a little bit about my self and my shitty summer job, So my name is Joe, Im a 20 year old college student. I have a girlfriend and I still live at home. I'm lazy when it comes to jobs that I hate. So right now I'm working at factory for the summer. This job has the longest hours and the work is back breaking. But there are some ups the coworks on my line are nice and most weeks I end up with 3 days off which is nice.

Now on to some more of what makes this job shit, well its really hot in the plant. Your on your feet 12 to 14 hrs a day up to 60 hrs a week. I have found it every hard to spend time with my family, friends and girl friend due to the fact that Im so tried when it day off. It also is very boring at work too. The factory is also shift work which is not that bad but the weeks that Im on nights I end not seeing anyone cuase when Im off too work they are all on their way home. Also it kinda makes you gurmpy on weekends and now one wants to be around that.

How do I get around all this and make the best of this shitty job?

1. I try not to think to much about the job it just a summer job not what I will doing for the rest of my life.
2. I do not let the boss get to me, if they get mad at me I kinda start to laugh in side cause Im only there for the summer.

**** At this point I just want to say some of this tips will not work for you, if you need the money then some of these tips I would not use, I'm in spot that I have saved engouh money in the past to pay for my schooling and I will have paid co-op next summer and then a year of it shortly after that, I also work a pettery good paying and fun job through the winter.*******
3. My work gives ten unpaid sick days so why waste them, use them when you need some time, try not to use all of them cuase if you get sick you well be out of luck then.
4. I do not really need or care about my summer job it just some nice spending money, so I try not to do a lot of work at work I do my job then go home.
5.Try not to look at the clock to much this just makes time go slower.
6. Try to think about something that makes you happy like plans for your days off ect...
7. Do not let anyone bug you at work you have the same rights as them.
8. Try to make friends that will help the time go by and you will have some that will watch your back for you.
9. Do not bring your work home it just a summer job.
10. Do not bitch about your work to everyone cause then you seem like a pussy.
11. If the job is to much for you do not be afaried to talk to your boss and if comes do to it quiet the job it not going ruin your life.
12. Remember alot of summer students are treat better then most full timers so just have fun and be safe this is your summer , your time off school to make money and have fun and relax so your all ready for school in the fall, so do not let a summer job stress you out.

I hope that you find these tips help full. Remember life is short, so live your life and stop worrying about the small things, be happy.

Hutch is back.

2013-05-29T01:24:00.000-04:00

That is right all you gamer's out there. Hutch is back on youtube. Hutch left youtube over a mouth ago without really saying why. But in his new video Hutch announces his return to youtube and also tells why he left in the first place. I have full respected for his story and I'm happy that he has made the choice to return to youtube.I must say when I say his return video for the first time and he talk about the last 4 mouth, I could not believe that he had been gone for so long.It seemed just like a week ago I watch the goodbye hutch video. But I'm glad to welcome on the king of youtube back and can not wait to see some of his videos.

Django Unchained

2013-01-20T02:54:00.000-05:00

Django Unchained sum up in two words bad ass. Thats is right this movie is bad ass. It has the over the top gun shot effects and gun shoot out scene. It got a well laid out story line, with only some small flaws through out the movie.

Django is played by Jamie foxx. Jamie was the perfect choice for the role of Django. He work perfectly with Christoph waltz, as the heroes of the movie. Both Jamie and Christoph play bounty hunters, Django is a slave that Christoph character. I found that most of actors work well together and fit the movie without and issue. The only actor that I thought did not fit Samuel L. Jackson.

Do not get me wrong I like Samuel L. Jackson but he just did not fit in to this movie at all. He seemed like he was trying to hard and just seemed out of place.

This movie is shot so that is it give the feeling that it is an older movie then it is. This movie is about 2.5 hr long. But it only feel like an 1 at most. Django Unchained is action packed western mixed with enough over the top comedy to add some good contrast to the movie.

This movie is a must see for any westerner movie lover. The ending could have been alot better. The movie was great right up till the end which is kinds hurts the replay/ rewatch rating of the movie.

I give this movie 8.9/10

This movie is a must see if you have not seen the movie yet. This movie is a great movie. If you do not like blood this movie might not be the right movie for you.

Dose Hollywood Need some new ideas?

2012-07-22T02:11:00.000-04:00

Is it just me, or is Hollywood running out of ideas for their big blockbusters. It is becoming hard and hard, for me to sit through a whole movie from start to end. After watching most movie for about ten minutes, I find that I'm able to tell what is going to happen for the rest of the movie. Not all the little details, but the overview of the movie.All movie are starting to look the same.I think that haft the problem is that most of the movie of same genres. Like all the action pack movies that are being released right now.I know that Hollywood analyse the world and base their next movie on their finding.But I think that leads to alot of the same movie being released at the same time.

But we should not just hate on Hollywood that have been at this for along time and it must be hard not to fall back on plot lines of older movies of the same genre. But the sad fact is it leads to us as viewers being able to see the movie unfold, by watching the first couple of minutes. Which just means Hollywood has to start adding alot of twist and turns into the movie to keep movie entertaining for us viewers.

Whats on Summer TV 2012, Part 1 Sunday

2012-07-19T16:18:00.001-04:00

So I know this post is a little late, but better late then never.If you are like me then you enjoy watching some tv to relax after a long day of do nothing. But there always is the question of what is on. It never seem like anything on tv anymore. Well I'm here to tell you there is you just haft to know where and when to look.

Lets start at the start of the week Sunday:

True Blood is on HBO. True Blood is in it's fifth season. If you are clueless about this show then, Let me give you a little overview and feel for the show. True Blood is about a young women named Sookie, who live in a time just like ours, with a small difference there are vampires that have came out of the dark and our just trying to fit in with the rest of us. Sookie falls into the middle of this when she meets and fall in love with a vampire named Bill. Now Sookie fines her self in danger every time she turns around. But it is not just vampires now there is all types of danger out there.Which ends up changing the life of every one that is around her. Also Sookie is not a normal human she can read minds.

True blood is a action pack, sex filled show and can get a little out of hand at times. But is still worth the hour of your time to watch it.Just sit back and enjoy the supernatural show of the last five years at its best.

Weeds the show about a normal mother that ends up turning her own life upside down, when she start dealing drugs. At first Nancy tires to hide her after hours dealings form her to sons. But she soon is caught and start dealing drugs with the help of her kids, friends and family. Nancy soon ends be a drug dealing king pen. Which has moving all over the USA and the world to run from the law or other not so good people.Weeds is now in it eight season and Nancy has been in jail shoot and everything in between. Weeds is a very different show then anything I have seen before. I find that is one the best crime shows out there. It is every realistic show. It takes a more of a upbeat comedy look at the life of a drug dealer.

There are many more new shows and new seasons out there. But I find these two shows are the best of the Sundays show.

There are also some good reruns, of the Simpson and Family guy ect... These are worth a watch if you miss in the fall, winter and spring.

The Amazing Spider Man (2012)

2012-07-15T02:21:00.002-04:00

The Amazing Spider Man, blow my mind away compared to the other three Spider Man's. I just seen it in 3D IMAX, which just add to my mind blowing experience .The Amazing Spider Man redeems the Spider Man nation, in full. I want into this movie just hoping for something better then the latest Spider Man's. The acting in The Amazing Spider Man was a top class act, Andrew Garfield the man of the hour. You might know Andrew from "The Social Network", where Andrew played Eduardo Saverin. Andrew is starting to look a actor that we should all keep our eyes on. Then there is the very beautifully and well "hot" Emma Stone, well I what more can I say about Emma that her talent can't say for me, and let me say she lived up to the stander that we come expect from her, and went beyond them too, In the Amazing Spider Man.The Amazing Spider Man is one of the best re-boots in a long time. Most of the time the re-boot can not even shine the boots of the past movies.

The Origin of Spider Man seems to take most of the movie up. Which is the one part of the movie, that could have been improved on. It feels like all the action, is piled up into the last haft hour of the movie. Which is a little over whelming. I also find it amazing that Peter is able to hid has true identity, when he is running around the city has Spider. For that fact he spends a lot of time with his mask off. All in all The Amazing Spider Man well have you feeling like you are right there and can be super hero too. The Amazing Spider Man is not just another action packed super hero movie, it lets us feel like we can do something to help our community's. No we can not be super hero and fight 15 guys at once, but we do have the power to do what is right and help those who are in need of it. Which in turn would make this world a better place to live for everyone.

Overall rating 8.8/10 Gold fish, yes gold fish!

Oh,ya if you haven't seen The Amazing Spider Man yet go see it now.

Upcoming Movies: The watch

2012-07-10T23:08:00.000-04:00

If you have not already seen the trailer for the movie The Watch, then you must watch it. This movie looks to be the next big comedy for the summer. It stars 3 big name actor and one smaller one. Ben Stiller, Vince Vayghn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade. These four actor play the leading man of the movie, who team up to start a neighborhood watch to protect their homes from nothing else but aliens. There not much more the I can say right now beside watch the trailer and see for your self, I know that is on the top of my must see movies for the summer.

League of Legends: guide on Jayce.

2012-07-09T23:00:00.001-04:00

Let me start off by saying playing as Jayce is not a walk in the park, at first look he might look the that way. But you would be miss lead by that.I like to build Jayce as high damage and high crit champion. Jayce is unique because he dose not just have the four skills he as seven of them. Jayce is able to use his ult right off the start which lets him change between his Mercury cannon and Mercury Hammer, if you do not know this all ready Jayce Mercury cannon is ranged weapon, where his Mercury Hammer is a melee weapon. Which makes Jayce deadly at any range.

From here I build a Phantom Dancer for a 55% attack speed, 30% crit and a 12% movement speed. Now I build a Bloodthirstier for a 60+ attack damage and 12% life steal that builds to a 18% life steal. I also build a second Bloodthirstier and a Second Phantom Dancer.

With these Items I'm able to rule the battlefield. The Dictator (2012)

2012-05-27T01:54:00.001-04:00

Well what can you say about the Dictator. It is movie that you must see if you like its type of comedy's. The ones that are like Borat and all the others to come before. It is amazing how the Dictator well have you laughing right from the start, till the end. The references made in this movie are .... out of this world. It blows my mind that they where able to rate this 14A here in Canada.

"It's a girl where is the trash can" is just one of many lines that stun me at the same time as making laugh. It was great to see how far we have come over the years, that movie that should be so offence to same cultures, is not at all. I enjoy how we all can seat back and watch it as it is and not make a big deal over a movie. That is meant to bring us all joy.

Now there where some scene that where in the trailer that did not make it to the movie, which disappoint me a bit. Also some of the scene just seemed steal by the end. The humor in the scene seem to repeat it self over and over again.

The Dictator is not a movie for the easily offend person. With that said if you are on the edge of going to see, that the jump and it well be worth it.

Ratting: 8.5/10

Game of Thrones: What Is Dead May Never Die

2012-04-16T22:15:00.001-04:00

Theon has made his chose and now he must live with it.No matter what path it made lead to later on . Tyrion has really start make waves king landing. He is slowly but surly removing anyone that can hurt him. Tyrion has start to show off his Lannister more and more. Arya Stark is now in the hands of the Lannister even if they have no clue that they have her at all. This episode has really set the stage for some great conflicted.

I found Sansa small role in this episode really outstanding, she made us all feel for her. She is trapped made to say that she is with the Lannister and wants them to win the war, but he can all see that she wants her bother the march into to kingslanding and cut off Jefferey head any day now. I do not want to spoil any more of this episode for those of you who have not seen it yet. But I well say this it was a sick one.

Game of Thrones is showing no ending to their greatness yet, it just keep getting better and better, with no end in sight.I can not wait to see who they betray the next part of the books on the small screen. Here is a preview:

South Park, Whats going on.

2012-04-11T22:22:00.003-04:00

Season 16 has sucked so far. It seems like they are running out of ideas. They are not even pushing the line anymore. I have not laugh at any of the new episode well maybe the first episode, I did. But the rest well sucked. Cartman dose not hate the jews anymore. What is that like come on what where they think. It not South park anymore. They should just stop if this is the shit that the rested of the season is going to be fulled with. My question is why are they doing this. Did someone sue them or something. Or is it just south parks time to go. What with tonight video, anti bullying like south park was about pushing the line. is now about installing value or something like come fuck that shit. This show is starting to go down hill. I'm going to give south park one more shot and then if it still sucks I'm going to stop watching this season :(, Like Kenney has not even been killed this season.

American Reunion (2012)

2012-04-11T22:09:00.001-04:00

The boys are back in town. After several years and a lot of growing up.Well maybe not so much growing up. The boys are back to have some fun and to make us laugh.I was worried that the movie would not live or be different from the others but I happy to see that the movie was right on track with the others.

It start off with Jim son walking in on him pulling it to some porn and then Jim walking in on Michelle doing the same in the bathroom.Which was just gross and fun at the same time. Right there I knew that nothing had changed.

American Reunion is well layout, is one way of saying this movie had me laughing from start to finish. I did find that the movie had more drama then the other American Pies did but. I liked it this way it pulled the movie together and made it interesting to watch. I have always liked how the American Pie movie go over the top at points but are always brought back down to earth, in some way

I did feel that the ending was a little to generic for an American Pie movie.But they did add a twist to the movie which I would to tell you, but I would rather have you watch it for yourself. I could see them making another American Pie maybe. I could see them using their kids or something. I think that would be great if they did.

If you like the other American Pies then you will love this one too. It will have you laughing right from the start. Nothing has changed. I also liked when they have a party and it was not what they where hoping for. It seemed that everyone else had grown up, but them.I'm happy to see that even though most of the actor in this movie have started to go down hill, that they where able to shine once again.

Rating 8.5/10,

Good funny movie with some acting flaws and some small story flaws, but otherwise a grate comedy movie. \pact with funny shit right from the start to the end.

One For The Money (2012)

2012-04-11T12:45:00.000-04:00

A sexy sassy women, find herself in with alot of money issues. She finds her self trapped behind a pile of overdue bills, with sign of a way out. will that is until she goes to her cousin who owns a bail-bound business. Where she is assigned the case of one of bail agents that are out sick. Stephanie Plum played by Katherine Heigl is task with a up hill battle to find a bring in Joe Morelli a cop wanted for a killing. But if that was not already a hard job, this cop also is from her past and is the first person she ever slept with and she as not forgive him for sleeping with her and then leaving her.

One for the money has it moments where it looks to be a really good movie but then shortly after them seems to fall short of that. The over all story lined seemed to pretty liner. There was not alot of twist in this movie. I could see how it was going to end right from start. But un like other like this the movie was actually filled up with comedy that kept me watching I found my self laughing more then once well watching this movie. Which in the long run was the point of this movie. My rating for this movie is 6.5/10

Game of Thrones: The Night Lands, Season 2 Ep 2

2012-04-11T12:41:00.000-04:00

"The Night Lands" another top notch Game of Thrones episode. I'm so happy to see on tv show or movie that is based off a book actually follow the book to the 'T' like Game of Thrones dose.The latest episode of Game Thrones, "The Night Lands", adds even more converse to the land of Westeros. With Theon Garyjoy back with his Father lord of the iron island. How was firmly reject king Robs offer to make him king of the iron island again. And has deiced to pay the iron price to make himself a king again.But he will not be fighting the Lannister 's, which only laves one place he could be sailing his army's too. Theon Garyjoy has a hard choice to make, between family and the ones that have raised to the man that he is now.

Tyrion was start to really show off his power and start to replace the queens and king men with his own. He sent the Lord commander of city watch to join the nights watch.I will say that when Tyrion had the commander man turn against him and take away, was easily my Favorite scene.

Their is so much more I could say about what happened in this episode but I do not want to spoil it ,for those who have not yet seen it. But I will say it dose seem like they are rushing alot of the plot points this season. I also start to notice that there is not much linking the story lines together anymore, whit Ned Stark dead and gone.But from the books, I know that it will all soon be closely tied together. I can not wait to see how they bring the next part of the books to life.

My Rating for this episode is a 8.5/10.

Episode : 3

From that little video, it looks like thing in Westeors are going to the heat up and start to boil over in the fight for power. Looks Tyrion going to have his hand full and Theon going the to make a choice that will shape the rest of his life. I can not wait to see what comes of this episode.

Shaytards: RIP Malachi

2012-04-08T02:02:00.001-04:00

After watching the Shaytards over the past 3 years, I was really sad to here about Malachi passing on to the other side. I could not image how the Shaytards our feeling right now, after losing part of there life. I can not even think, how I would feel if my dog passed on. I feel that Malachi has become a part of the viewers life with us ever, even meeting him. I wished that dogs could live for every, but they can not. Even knowing that dog must move on before we do, dose not make it any easier when they lave us for the better place.Our harts go out to Shaytards form everyone here at Terrabitez. I know how hard it can be when one day your dogs running around and the next he gone. It is just not right and any that tells you it just a pet, as not found the pet that they fall in love with yet and have no idea what they our saying. For those readers that have not seen the last video with Malachi init here it is.
