Cardiff City cult hero Eddie Johnson has been offered to Crystal Palace, who are considering taking on the USA striking enigma.

Fulham player Johnson, who spent last season at Ninian Park, is surplus to requirments at Craven Cottage despite still has two years left to run on his current deal.

Johnson is looking for another loan move next season and his agent has contacted the Eagles with a view to move from West to South London.

Palace gaffer Neil Warnock said: "We've had a phone call about him from his agent - but we don't know if we are going to follow it up.

"It's an option."

Wrexham defender Ashley Westwood says he is happy to sign a new contract with the Dragons, especially after the club's disastrous end to last season.

A situation Westwood admits he is determined to rectify.

"I am definitely happy to stay here," said 32-year-old Westwood. "To be offered a contract at a club of any standard is welcome and I am happy to be in the game I am playing.

"I came to Wrexham determined to get promoted but we did not achieve that.

"It would be wrong to walk away - I have still got unfinished work to attend to.

"I have not completed the job and feel I need to stay here and give everything I have got to get promoted, that is the aim."

Westwood played alongside Wrexham boss Dean Saunders at Bradford City and is glad to continue their association.

"I have played in the same team and known the gaffer a long time. I have spoken with him and come to the conclusion we will come to an agreement between us.

"It has not been specific with terms and figures but we will sort it out. We have got a good relationship and both trust each other - that's half the battle.

"You are not talking about Ronaldo going to Real Madrid here but I am sure it will get sorted."

Gareth Bale looks set to exit Tottenham Hostspur with AC Milan said to have their sights set on the Wales schemer.

Milan are in the market for a left-back after a move Porto's Aly Cissokho fell through following a medical last month.

Bale, was rumoured to be a target for Milan's rivals Inter and Juventus in the Janaury transfer window.

Inter coach Jose Mourinho missed out Bale as negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur faltered.

The Welsh international teenager, who turns 20 on July 16, came in for particular praise from Inter coach Jose Mourinho.

"Bale has impressed me so much and I think he will become greater than Ashley Cole," Mourinho said back in January.

It's believed Milan directors Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani are keeping tabs on the Welsh star as they look for an attacking left sided defender.

Bale was this week also linked to a season long loan move to Birmingham City

ROSS McCormack has committed himself to the Bluebirds for the next four years.
Glasgow-born McCormack, who scored 23 goals for Cardiff City last season, signed his contract after training and said: "We all want to go a step farther than we managed last season."
McCormack remains intent on playing at Premier League level, but wants that to be with Cardiff City.
If a Premier club does come in with an offer which Cardiff find acceptable they have told McCormack they will see how he feels at the time.
Michael Chopra has also completed his £3m transfer from Sunderland, having played for the Bluebirds on loan last season.
It was a good days business for the Bluebirds with Mark Hudson signing - and manager Dave Jones is intent on bringing more new signings in as quickly as possible.

MARK Hudson today completed his £1m transfer from Charlton Athletic to Cardiff City.
The big central defender came through a medical today, having agreed personal terms on Tuesday.
Cardiff will pay £700,000 for Hudson plus add-ons.
Hudson is the second new signing for the Bluebirds during this close season, following goalkeeper David Marshall's switch from Norwich City.
"I want five in for the start of the season - and we are close to three," said manager Dave Jones, chatting as the players trained at Cardiff City Stadium.
The Bluebirds players are have double training sessions right now, morning and afternoons.
They looked relaxed as they worked hard in the lush green surface.

HULL City boss Phil Brown says he expects Wales defender Sam Ricketts to stay at the club this summer.

The former Swansea star has been heavily linked with a move to Portsmouth and Everton.

The 27-year-old, who has one year remaining on his contract, was amainstay of the Tiigers' fight against relegation last season.

Hull are currently in the process of negotiating a new deal with Ricketts, but Brown believe he'll be at the KC Stadium come the start of the new season..

"It is something that is ongoing and has been for six months - and something that will be ongoing for the next six months, I dare say," said Brown.

"He has got another year left on his contract so I fully expect him to be in for pre-season training.

"There is nothing with regards to any of the players making any kind of move with regards to getting away."

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has admitted he is interested in bringing Gareth Bale to St Andrews.

The Wales and Tottenham Hotspur left-sided schemer is thought to be surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane and McLeish would be eager to take him to the Midlands club.

"Gareth Bale is another name we'd have to consider if he was available," said McLeish.

Bale has suffered with injuries and a loss of form at Spurs, I may see a loan move to Birmingham as a way of resurrecting his Premiership career.

MARK Hudson, Charlton Athletic's captain and centre-half last season, is expected to sign for Cardiff City later today.
The Bluebirds have agreed a fee with Charlton - thought to be £700,000 plus add-ons - and 6ft 2ins defender had talks on personal terms yesterday.
He is having a medical today and will sign for Cardiff City later today.
City chairman Peter Ridsdale would not reveal the identity of the player who arrived in South Wales for talks and set to sign, but it is thought to be Hudson.
The arrival of Hudson could spark another two or more signings over the next week.
Cardiff City's opening pre-season game is at home to Chasetown on Friday week and they then head off to Lisbon in Portugal for a week-long, two-match tour.

MICHAEL Chopra becomes Cardiff City's record signing today - at £3m.
Goalscorer Chopra played for the Bluebirds on loan from Sunderland last season, while he completes a full transfer today.
It was agreed some time ago the deal would be completed on July 1.
Sunderland signed Chopra from Cardiff in a transfer worth up to £5m and had paid money owed apart from add-ons for appearances etc.
City agreed to buy Chopra back for £3m, although they will only pay a fraction of that up front with the rest in instalments.
Chopra's £3m beats the previous record of £1.7m paid to Stoke City for Peter Thorne during the Sam Hammam era.
Cardiff also expect Ross McCormack to sign a new contract this week.

MARK Hudson is in South Wales for talks with Cardiff City on a £700,000 transfer from Charlton Athletic, insist sources at the London club.
The big central defender has been a target for Bluebirds' manager Dave Jones since the start of the year. Jones moved to sign Hudson as a replacement for Darren Purse, but the deal could not be completed during the transfer window.
Now City are back in again, the fee has been agreed and could reach £1m with add-ons.
City chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed they have reached agreement on a fee with another club and are in talks with a centre-half today, but will not reveal the identity of the man they want.
Today, in Scottish newspapers, Cardiff are linked with a move for Slovakian international midfield player/defender Maros Klimpl. He was with Motherwell on loan last season.
