Sing Over America Revived: Christian Leaders Unite in Dallas, TX

On October 29^th and 30^th, Don Moen, Paul Wilbur, Terry MacAlmon, Brandon Roberson and Gateway Worship will unite in Dallas, TX for a national worship gathering, in the Plano Event Center. The initiator of this event is Christian recording artist and worship leader Terry MacAlmon. At the beginning of this year, Terry announced that he had organized a national worship gathering, called ‘Sing Over America’. The event was to take place in May. When Covid-19 struck, the event was cancelled and all tickets refunded. Yet Terry had no peace to just let this event go. Last week he finally found a suitable venue and Sing Over America was revived.

The vision for Sing Over America was born during 2019, when the Lord instructed Terry to gather the worshipers from coast to coast. Hearing this instruction, he knew this was for the sole purpose of exalting the name of Jesus over the entire nation. Jesus said: “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.” He was speaking of the cross at that time, but it carries the same meaning today.

Terry MacAlmon: “We believe there is a battle raging in the U.S between good and bad, right and wrong, just as the Word of God promised would happen in the last days. We are following King Jehoshaphat's model of sending the singers and musicians out in front of the army. We believe God will destroy principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, as we lift up the name of Jesus in praise and worship over our land.”

Terry will be joined by Don Moen, Paul Wilbur, Brandon Roberson and Gateway Worship. Even though this is by no means a political event, the aim was to have this take place before the elections. That aim is about to become a reality. Only last week, by the grace of God and through what Terry is terming a “midnight miracle”, he succeeded in finding a suitable venue. The Plano Event Center offers the ability to have the event and to comply with the current safety regulations at the same time. Let’s exalt the name of the Lord Jesus Christ over the United States of America, offering Him His rightful place and establishing His rulership. For such a time as this.

Sing Over America is postponed...

April 10, 2020, Dallas, TX - Two weeks ago we published a statement on our websites, regarding the status of our national worship gathering 'Sing Over America'. At that point the Comerica Center was forced to cancel all events, including 'Sing Over America'. As a result both the websites of the Comerica Center and Ticketmaster have listed the event as cancelled, while starting to refund all tickets. Meanwhile we have been looking for an alternative location, while hoping that the measures of the CDC would soon be lifted. As we all know, soon afterwards these measures were once again extended, until April 30th.

With the extended measures it has become virtually impossible to gather at May 7 & 8. Therefore we have to announce that those dates are indeed cancelled as of now. Sing Over America will not take place on May 7 & 8, not in the Comerica Center and not at a different location. However, this doesn't mean that the entire event is cancelled. The vision is still very much alive and our team is currently working around the clock to find another suitable location, to maintain the lineup as far as possible and to set new dates in the nearby future, before the elections take place. It is our aim to reschedule the event for late summer or early fall. We know that God gave us the vision for 2020 and it shall happen yet this year.

From a practical point of view, all those who have booked their tickets via Ticketmaster will be refunded by Ticketmaster. This also means that you'll have to book new tickets for the rescheduled 'Sing Over America' gathering. For those who have bought printed tickets from us personally, these will remain valid for the rescheduled event. It is possible to return these tickets to us and to request a refund, but you can also hold on to them. If any of this information is unclear to you, please don't hesitate to contact us.

March 26, 2020 - Dallas, TX - As many may have noticed, Ticketmaster has now listed our national worship gathering ‘Sing Over America’ as cancelled. We herewith want to inform you regarding the current status.

First of all, our venue, the Comerica Center has been forced to cancel all upcoming events. As a result, Ticketmaster has begun the process of refunding the tickets that were sold. We just recently received this notification

As Christians we are called to obey our government and that is exactly what we will do. Therefore we are closely watching the developments, while following the instructions of the CDC. Our hope is to still gather on May 7 & 8, if we can secure another location. The vision is still very much alive and we believe God will make a way. If it is not to happen in May we will wait for Him to reveal His plan for Sing Over America. Rest assured, He has one! On May 7-8, 2020, Terry MacAlmon is organizing his first national worship gathering, called 'Sing Over America', which will take place in the Comerica Center (the former Dr. Pepper Arena) in Frisco, TX. He will be joined by Don Moen, Paul Wilbur, Gateway Worship, Nathaniel Bassey, Vocal Majority and Joni Lamb & The Daystar Singers. MacAlmon is known for writing the popular song 'I Sing Praises', that has been a Top 40 Christian song around the world and is still regularly sung in many churches. The song was published by Integrity Music in 1989 and is included in many modern hymnals.

MacAlmon: "Earlier this year I was seeking the Lord about our own nation. I've traveled all over the world in worship ministry, but I've had a burden for our own nation and I believe the Lord instructed me to gather the worshipers from coast to coast, to come together in Dallas, Texas, which is the center point of our country, and to sing over America."
