Although Esther’s mother was HIV+, she was killed in a road accident. Her father is very poor and abandoned Esther to an aunt where she was badly mistreated and made to work for her food. She has started school and is improving. She is a Christian.

Supriya loves to learn. As a young girl her desire is to love Jesus with her whole heart. Her father recently died while her mother, who is HIV+, is a prostitute. She lives at Terry’s Home in Hyderabad.

Melanie’s parents passed away a couple of years ago, first her father then her mother. She is a bit shy but she really enjoys playing with other children her age. She always stays close to her grandmother since she grew up under her care. Melanie has good grades at school and enjoys studying.

Lorena likes to stay very close to her father, since she lost her mother when she was still very little. She is very intelligent, obedient and respectful. She is doing very good in school and she enjoys doing her homework with the help of her sisters. She is very active and loves to play outdoors.
