Houston gained the most jobs since the recession with 109,700. Following New Orleans in second with 39,400, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio round out the top five markets, adding , 37,900, 36,000, and 25,200 private-sector jobs between 2006 and 2011, respectively.

In June 2010, home prices were up 1.2% from a year ago.  

Foreclosures filings are increasing.  

With the sale of homes shifting downward, foreclosures moving upward, buyers can and will continue to make the best deals with a foreclosure. The booming Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area added more residents during the past decade than any other city in the United States.

According to the latest Census Bureau figures, the population of the sprawling Texas metro area grew by about 1.3 million people, or 25%, between April 1, 2000, and July 1, 2009.
