Miketendo64.com rated the game 9 out of 10 and called it “a charming game that’s easily addictive. It can bring out your competitive side with friends to see who can last the longest and get the highest score. It’s a fun challenge that can get intense fast but can be pretty casual at the same time. It’s a game we’ll be going back to again.”

According to J. P. Humphries from Whataboutthegame.com, Tallowmere “has a lot of good things about it. It’s simple yet has depth, there’s no fluff and it’s addictive. There’s not much else to ask for in a Rogue-like. (…) Those wanting a solid no nonsense Rogue-like will definitely get a fill from Tallowmere”.

“Tallowmere surprised me – it offers exceptional value for money given the low cost and high replay value and despite humble looks, it creates the kind of gameplay hook that will make you want to keep picking it up again and again” – Matthew Smail from Nerdly rated the game 7 out of 10.

Also, Jack from Switch Era had a blast and “enjoyed it a lot” (rated 8 out of 10), and Stark from Real Otaku Gamer thinks it “is a great game and as a cheap one, it certainly is worth looking into”.

eShop Gurus team stated that the game “gives the Switch eShop a dungeon crawler that, while seeming to be basic with it’s presentation, makes up for it with it’s replayability from altering the game for better or worse depending on your taste. It’s easy to pick up and go explore the dungeon nature really suits the portability of the switch, while out, you can do a run to see how far you can make it in a dungeon, and with friends, it’ll be worth sacrificing a kitty or two for”. Rated 8 out of 10.

The same rating was given by The Flannel Fox in his YouTube review. “With solid mechanics, challenging gameplay and variety from run to run, Tallowmere captured my attention from the moment I sat down and repeated started dying, then running back into battle Axe blazing”. How far through Lady Tallowmere’s dungeons can you delve in? Each randomly-generated room gets bigger, harder, and more rewarding the further you go. Raise your shield and hunt for the key in each room – or die trying. Be on your guard for every enemy, elite, boss, and treasure chest you’ll encounter. Randomly-generated rooms – Every time you play, the rooms are different: different enemies, different layouts, different trap placements, different events, different treasure. You never know what lies ahead.

Enemies – Archers, fire mages, conductors, zaeries, ogres, leapers… Slay them before they slay you. You can fully block their attacks with your shield, but it’s easier said than done.

Tallowmere is easy to learn but hard to master:

• Try not to die

You can take a few hits, but fail to block enough and you’re done.. Learn how things work and you’ll hopefully make it farther next time. Tallowmere features a high-score system so you can track your greatest efforts.

The campaign mode will allow participants to compete on two arenas, and those who can defeat the final boss will be awarded with a gift! Destroy enemies with a blend of violence and cunning strategy, discover powerful items, build your roster of special powers and attacks, and triumph against all odds. Choose from 11 uniquely powered characters, each Warlock has its own special powers and play experience: every game is exciting & different. Warlocks vs Shadows has a strong cast of warlocks with many different characteristics all having a different style of play. Unholy Heights was developed by the Japanese studio Mebius and it is widely acclaimed as a winner of Indie Stream Awards in Best of Indie Stream, Best of Sound and Best of Narrative categories, also the game was added to Gold Hall of Fame by Famitsu, the most popular Japanese gaming magazine. So it looks like there will be plenty of fun!

Hell is too boring, so The Devil transforms himself into… a monster apartment slum lord! Your building begins small but there’s room for unlimited growth if you manage your monsters right. Attract new tenants, watch them go to work, fall in love and even have children. Keep them happy with the right mix of furnishings and upgrades and they’ll slaughter every troublesome human in sight. However, monsters can also be lazy, stay unemployed and get behind on rent, so you might be forced to kick them out to make room for more responsible monsters. Figure out what your best strategy is and which monsters are worth to keep!

But don’t forget that Monsters are also vicious creatures from the abyss and nearby human settlements aren’t exactly too thrilled with them as neighbors. They will occasionally send adventurers and heroes to your complex to try to kill you and your friends. Rouse your monsters with a knock on their door, summon them to battle, outnumber and trap invading humans in pincer formations, and collect the spoils of victory!

As your triumphs mount and your tenants proliferate, gain gold and prizes to expand and upgrade your building and reward your most loyal and bloodthirsty monsters. Nintendo Life claims that “this Wii U title stands out as being the best of the series so far thanks to the extra content. This game does its job as some laid back fun for you to pass the time, and possibly get addicted to. With leaderboards to challenge and achievements to unlock you will find reasons to keep playing this one for some time, and considering its welcoming price it’s very hard to not recommend giving this a go”. The reviewer, Ryan Craddock, rated Bird Mania with  8 out of 10

Cheryl from Christ Centered Gamer also praised the game: “my kids and I had fun playing this title.  The price is a reasonable $1.99 on the Nintendo eShop.  As long as you go into the game expecting the Wii U gamepad to have an advantage, there’s a lot of fun and competition to be had here”. Bird Mania Party was given a score of 78 out of 100.

On the other hand eShop Gurus pointed out that “[despite that] Bird Mania works best on a handheld device because of it”s quick “pick up and play” gamestyle, I find it refreshing to see Mojo flying in HD on my Wii U console. (…) It’s meant to be played in quick spurts as a good little time waster. The multiplayer is local only (no online) but there are separate online leaderboards for all three different gameplay modes. And with a budget price of just $1.99, it’s not going to hurt your wallet too much. Anyone who remotely enjoys endless runner games (and especially if you’ve played and enjoyed the previous entries) should give Bird Mania Party a download onto their Wii U”. Rated 7 out of 10.

WiiU.Pro summed up: “Availability of this game in the Wii U portfolio doesn’t get me thrills of excitement, but Bird Mania Party is definitely a good title. It is glorious: it is great to pick up between now and then and to join the races with friends”. The game got 7 out of 10.

Last one but not least, Revo Gamers called the game “a perfect experience for gatherings of friends or family. It’s an easy and fast fun, multiplied to infinity, if you share it with friends”. Scored 7 out of 10.
