We built the Robots to serve us well

I’ve been waiting so long

She was born and raised in Oakland,

but as young she did embark:

Took a flight to New York City,

found a cellar near The Park.

Every day, early morning,

Every night, right after dark,

You could hear a voice, a whisper,

singing soft in Central Park.

She was lucky, she got famous,

you have seen her on the screen.

When that girl is on, performing,

she´s the Lady, she´s the Queen.

She was traveling; on a world tour,

she was showing everywhere.

Small and fragile but a giant,

when she´s singing over there.

Every time when she´s launching

and they asked her what´s her spark:

Then she smiled and said; “no glory,

I´m the Lady in the Park.”

But in May, when she was scheduled

to leave US for the art.

Singing in The House of Sidney,

from the bottom of her heart.

She just never showed for in-check,

and her phone was out of work.

She went missing, as a phantom;

made her agent go berserk.

Ten years after, in September,

near the Boathouse by the Lake,

there´s a small crowd, on the hillside,

fifty people, give or take.

They were frozen in a gesture,

as the eyes betrayed them all.

Listen to a voice from heaven,

in the natural, concert hall.

In an hour, on the whisper,

there were thousands in the dark.

And a chopper with a spotlight:

That´s the Lady in the Park.

Blues in the sky - a Nelson Mandela tribute release

EVERYTHING ABOUT THE TRACK

The English vocalist Chrissy Caine shared the stage with Nelson Mandela in Durban 2001, at the International AIDS Conference. Since then she have had a very successful, awarded musical career performing and recording worldwide. And still is.

Now Chrissy Caine is back paying her respects, singing Blues in the sky - to the memory of a man you never forget.

Blues in the sky is an international collaboration between Chrissy Caine, Roland Mair-Gruber and Torbjorn Gideskog.

The music was composed by Roland in Salzburg (Austria), the lyrics written by Torbjorn in Stockholm (Sweden) and the vocals performed by Chrissy recorded in Salerno (Italy). Recording, mixing and mastering were executed by Acoustic Sound Recording Studio in Salerno.

The single will soon be available on YouTube, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music, Rdio and more.

Humans no more

she asked with a smile.

“I've been hearing this voice,

in the wind for a while.”

“Never seen you before”,

I lied to the girl.

Didn't want her to run,

far away with my pearl.

“Maybe once, long ago,

we met on the fly.

Just a night of my dreams

and I still wonder why.”

“Are you sure it was me,

she looked in my eyes?

Can't remember the night

but I hope it was nice.”

Go Down to the Docks lyrics belong to the Small Stories of Life collection. Inspired by people and environments. The first one, "Birdman and the armed soul cup", was written in the middle of the 90th. Small Stories of Life was first published as blog lyrics but was later collected and launched on the web site TorbjornGideskog lyrics. The collection will gradually be adapted and set to music.

The Fastest Gun on the Globe

Well, he was born as a lab rat

and he was raised as a spy;

to blend in with the others

and pretend to be shy.

He was a day trading Robot,

he was so fast and so mean.

He draw his gun on the whisper;

he was the deadly machine.

He killed his brothers and sisters,

just on the rumor of rain.

He pulled the trigger unshaken,

´there was a nickel to gain.

But when he´d killed all the others,

he heard a sound of a disc,

which got his wires to fizzle

and was an unguided risk.

He tried to locate the buzzer,

it seemed to come from his rack.

So he reloaded his weapon

and shot himself in the back.

When he was buried in Tombstone,

at the end of the war,

he was blessed by a preacher,

who was a Robot before.

He tried to rise from the bottom;

he rang the Golden Gate bell.

But he was told by the keeper,

he had to linger in Hell.

He had a rapid conversion

and was reborn as a man.

He got a job as a Robot

and all the killings began.

He was a creature of habit,

his track was clear as a sign:

There was a new star in Tombstone,

who got him two-thousand-nine.

Today he rests in the graveyard,

under the script of the stone:

"He killed his brothers and sisters

and now he´s staying alone.
