ประวัติความเป็นมา

คนไทยสมัยก่อนนอยมดื่มน้ำจากขันเงิน การใช้เครื่องทองลงหินใส่น้ำดื่มจะช่วยเพิ่มความเย็นและรู้สึกมีรสหวานเรื่องทองลงหินหรือ “บรอนซ์” ( Bronze ) ในสมัยก่อนนิยมนำมาทำเป็นอุปกรณ์ ภาชนะและเครื่องใช้ในพิธีทางศาสนา เช่น ขัน ช้อน จาน ตะเกียง เชิงเทียน แจกัน ฯลฯ

ขั้นตอนการผลิต จะเริ่มจากการแกะแบบดินขึ้นมาก่อนจากนั้นจึงนำทองแดงกับดีบุกไปหลอมด้วยเตาน้ำมัน แล้วจึงเทหล่อลงในแบบดิน เมื่อแข็งตัวจึงนำไปปั๊มในพิมพ์เหล็กโดยขึ้นอยู่กับความต้องการของผู้สั่งซื้อ

ขั้นตอนการตกแต่ง จะเริ่มที่การปั๊มลาย ตัดส่วนเกินขึ้นรูปให้เป็นรูปช้อน ส้อมหรืออื่นๆ ชุบให้เหนียว ( เผาไฟให้แดงแล้วแช่ลงในน้ำ ) แต่งรูปให้เรียบร้อย ขั้นตอนสุดท้ายคือการทำด้ามและขัดเงา ซึ่งต้องมีความละเอียดประณีตในแต่ละขั้นตอน จึงจะได้ชิ้นงานที่สวยงามและมีคุณภาพ ชุมชนประดิษฐ์โทรการเป็นแหล่งผลิตเครื่องทองลงหินมาหลายสิบปี โดยสมาชิกในชุมชนร่วมกันทำประมาณ 40-50 หลังคาเรือน การจัดจำหน่ายผลงานนั้นใช้ระบบสหกรณ์ดำเนินการและการรับจ้างผลิตสินค้าโดยตรงจากผู้ซื้อ

วิวัฒนาการของเครื่องทองลงหิน

เครื่องทองลงหิน (Bronzewares) หรือมีชื่อเรียกกันแต่เดิมว่า เครื่องม้าฬ่อ จากหลักฐานทางศิลปวัตถุตามแหล่งที่อยู่อาศัยของมนุษย์ก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ในประเทศไทยแล้ว มีหลักฐานย้อนหลังไประหว่างประมาณ 2,500 – 3,500 ปี ต่อเนื่องมาจากยุคทองแดง (Copper age) ซึ่งมีอายุระหว่างประมาณ 3,500 – 5,000 ปี ทั้งนี้วัฒนธรรมยุคทองแดงเป็นสายวัฒนธรรมที่สืบต่อมาจากวัฒนธรรมยุคหินใหม่ ในยุคโลหะผสมหรือยุคสัมฤทธิ์ (Bronze age) พบเครื่องใช้ที่จำเป็น เช่น อาวุธ เครื่องมือ เครื่องใช้ แหวน กำไล เป็นต้น นักโบราณคดีทางตะวันตกเรียกอุตสาหกรรมทำเครื่องโลหะผสมใสวัฒนธรรมนี้ว่าวัฒนธรรมดองซอง ในกลางศตวรรษที่ 18 เป็นระยะที่อุตสาหกรรมมีความเจริญก้าวหน้า มีความรู้ในด้านโลหะ โลหะผสมชนิดแรกที่มนุษย์ริเริ่มใช้ คือ บรอนซ์ (Bronze) เป็นโลหะผสมระหว่าง ทองแดง 9 ส่วนกับดีบุก 1 ส่วน เรียกว่า ทองสัมฤทธิ์ หรือ ทองลงหิน

บรรพบุรุษของนายสาคร ยังเขียวสดหรือครูโจหลุยส์ (ศิลปินแห่งชาติ สาขาศิลปะการแสดง (ละครเล็ก) ปี 2539 ) มีอาชีพเล่นโขนและหุ่นกระบอก เมื่อหัวโขนหรือหุ่นกระบอกชำรุดจึงทำการซ่อมแซมเอง ความรู้ในการทำหัวโขนได้สะสมและถ่ายทอดอย่างต่อเนื่องภายในครอบครัว ต่อมาการจ้างโขนไปแสดงมีน้อยลง จึงหันมาประดิษฐ์หัวโขนเพื่อจำหน่ายแทน

เนื่องจากเป็นงานฝีมือที่มีกรรมวิธีในการประดิษฐ์ประณีตทุกขั้นตอน ต้องอาศัยความชำนาญและความอดทนจากที่เคยร่วมทำกันหลายสิบครอบครัว ในชุมชนคงเหลือเพียงคุณประทีป รอดภัยและครอบครัวที่ยังคงสืบทอดศิลปะการทำหัวโขนมากกว่า 30 ปี นอกจากจะประดิษฐ์หัวโขนทั่วไปแล้ว คุณประทีปยังได้คิดประดิษฐ์ “หัวโขนซีก” สำหรับแขวนประดับตกแต่งบ้านและหัวโขนที่ระลึกขนาดเล็กด้ว

ด้วยความสนใจเรื่องเรือโบราณอยู่แต่เดิมและเชื่อว่า “คนไทยก็น่าจะทำได้” ประกอบกับเคยเรียนจิตรกรรมที่โรงเรียนเพาะช่าง คุณมาโนทย์ มุสิกบุตรจึงเริ่มประดิษฐ์เรือเรือรบโบราณจำลองหลังจากเห็นเรือรบจำลองหล่อพลาสติก ณ กรุงเวียนนาที่ประเทศออสเตรียเมื่อ ๒๐ กว่าปีมาแล้ว ในระยะแรกทำแต่เรือต่างประเทศเพราะขาดแม่แบบเรือรบไทยต่อมาได้ ไปชมพิพิธภัณฑ์กองทัพเรือที่สมุทรปราการจึงสเก็ตซ์แบบเรือรบโบราณของไทยซึ่งมีอยู่ ๗-๘ ชนิด แล้วนำมาทำให้ได้สัดส่วน ปัจจุบันผลิตเรือรบจำลองได้ ๒๐ กว่าแบบ
วัสดุที่ใช้เป็นวัสดุธรรมชาติ ตัวเรือทำจากปีกไม้สักที่เหลือจากโรงงานผลิตไม้สักแปรรูป ใบเรือทำจากผ้าและใช้เชือกสำหรับผูก โดยขั้นแรกจะต้องทำโครงเรือก่อน ( กระดูกงูใต้ท้องเรือหรือกรงเรือ ) ซึ่งถือเป็นขั้นตอนที่ยากที่สุด เพราะถ้าไม่ได้สัดส่วนหรือไม่เรียบร้อย เรือที่ได้ออกมาก็จะไม่สวยจากนั้นจึงบุไม้ให้เป็นลำเรือและเก็บรายละเอียดอื่นๆ บางลำทำยากมากเพราะต้องแกะสลักบางส่วนของเรือด้วย

การเปิดแสดงและจำหน่ายจะทำเพียงปีละครั้งตามสถานที่ต่างๆ ให้ผู้ที่สนใจได้ชมและเลือกซื้อ ส่วนสาเหตุที่ไม่ผลิตส่งขายตามร้านค้า หรือส่งขายยังต่างประเทศก็เพราะ “หากเป็นธุรกิจหรือโรงงานผลิต งานก็คงไม่ประณีตอีกต่อไป”

ตลาดแห่งนี้มีความเป็นมายาวนานกว่า 60 ปี เริ่มตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2491 ในสมัยจอมพล ป. พิบูลสงคราม เป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีรัฐบาลมีนโยบายให้จัดตั้งตลาดนัดขึ้นในทุกจังหวัด สำหรับกรุงเทพนั้นได้เลือกสนามหลวงเป็นสถานที่จัดตลาดนัด แต่เพียงไม่ถึงปีทางราชการก็ย้ายตลาดนัด ไปอยู่ในพระราชอุทยานสราญรมย์แล้วจึงย้ายออกไปตั้งอยู่บริเวณสนามชัย และย้ายตลาดนัดกลับไปอยู่ที่สนามหลวงในปี พ.ศ. 2501 ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2521 ได้มีนโยบายใช้สนามหลวงเป็นที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจ และจัดงานกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ 200 ปี การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทยจึงได้มอบที่ดินย่านพหลโยธินตอนต่อจากสวนจตุจักรด้านทิศใต้ให้แก่กรุงเทพมหานครเพื่อใช้ในกิจการสาธารณะประโยชน์ และกรุงเทพมหานครได้ปรับพื้นที่เพื่อให้ผู้ค้าหาบเร่แผงลอยและขณะเดียวกันก็พยายามย้ายผู้ค้าจากสนามหลวงมาด้วย จนกระทั่งดำเนินการสำเร็จ เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2525 โดยใช้ชื่อว่าตลาดนัดย่านพหลโยธิน ต่อมาเปลี่ยนชื่อใหม่เป็น “ตลาดนัดจตุจักร” ให้สอดคล้องกับสวนสาธารณะจตุจักรในบริเวณใกล้เคียง ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2530 จนถึงปัจจุบัน'' การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทยทูลเกล้าฯ ถวายที่ดินเพื่อจัดสร้างสวนสาธารณะขึ้นตามพระราชประสงค์ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เนื่องในวโรกาสที่ทรงมีพระชนมพรรษาครบ 4 จักรราศีในปี 2519 ทรงพระราชทานชื่อสวนว่า “จตุจักร” ภายในสวนปลูกต้นไม้นานาชนิด โดยแบ่งเป็นสวนต่างๆ เช่น สวนสมุนไพร สวนพันธุ์ไม้ในวรรณคดี ฯลฯ

ตลาดนัดจตุจักร สำหรับผู้ที่ชอบซื้อของและต่อรองราคา ที่นี่คือ “สวรรค์ของคุณ” โดยทุกวันพุธและพฤหัสจะเป็นตลาดค้าส่งต้นไม้ ส่วนวันเสาร์และอาทิตย์นั้นจะเปลี่ยนเป็นตลาดนัดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย รวมทั้งเป็นศูนย์รวมร้านค้ากว่า 8,000 ร้านจากทุกภูมิภาคของประเทศ แบ่งพื้นที่ออกเป็น 26 โครงการ กลุ่มสินค้ามีตั้งแต่ของแต่งบ้าน ของสะสม ของเก่า เครื่องประดับ งานศิลปะหัตกรรม เฟอร์นิเจอร์ สัตว์เลี้ยง เสื้อผ้า ต้นไม้ หนังสือเก่า อาหารพื้นเมือง สินค้าเบ็ดเตล็ดอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย

การเดินทาง
มีหลายรูปแบบทั้งรถยนต์ส่วนตัวซึ่งต้องนำไปจอดที่ลานจอดรถตลาดนัดจตุจักรหรือ Park & Ride และมีรถรับส่งระหว่างลานจอดรถกับตลาดนัดจตุจักร (ประตู 2) หรือนั่งรถประจำทางซึ่งมีหลายสายผ่าน และที่สะดวกมากก็คือโดยสารรถไฟฟ้าบีทีเอส ลงที่สถานีหมอชิต หรือรถไฟฟ้าใต้ดิน ลงที่สถานีกำแพงเพชร นอกจากนี้ก็ยังมีรถแท็กซี่ และรถตู้หลายสายให้บริการ

ในอดีตสังคมไทยเป็นสังคมเกษตรกรรม คนไทยจึงนิยมตั้งบ้านเรือนอยู่ริมน้ำกันเป็นส่วนใหญ่ แม่น้ำเป็นเส้นทางการคมนาคมที่สำคัญ เรือจึงเป็นพาหนะในชีวิตประจำวัน

เรือพระราชพิธีหมายถึง เรือสำหรับใช้ประกอบพิธีทางชลมารคที่เรียกว่า “ กระบวนพยุหยาตราชลมารค” ถือเป็นพระราชประเพณีที่มีมาตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา ซึ่งก็คือการจัดรูปกระบวนเรือรบในแม่น้ำตามตำราพิชัยสงครามนั่นเอง

แต่เดิมอู่และโรงเก็บเรือพระราชพิธีแห่งนี้อยู่ในความควบคุมดูแลของสำนักพระราชวังและกองทัพเรือ ในปี ๒๔๙๐ สำนักพระราชวังและกองทัพเรือมอบให้กรมศิลปากรทำการซ่อมรักษาเรือต่างๆ จากนั้นได้ขึ้นทะเบียนเรือพระที่นั่งให้เป็น “ พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ เรือพระราชพิธี” ตั้งแต่ปี ๒๕๑๗ โดยจัดแสดงเรือพระราชพิธี ศิลปะโบราณวัตถุ สิ่งของเครื่องใช้ประกอบในพระราชพิธีทางชลมารค

เรือพระที่นั่งศรีสุพรรณหงส์ หัวเรือแกะสลักเป็นรูปหงส์ลำปัจจุบันสร้างเสร็จในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๖

เป็นเรือพระที่นั่งกิ่ง ( เรือพระทีนั่งชั้นสูงสุด ) เคยได้รับเหรียญรางวัลมาดกทางทะเลขององค์การเรือโลกแห่งสหราชอาณาจักรเมื่อปี ๒๕๒๔ ซึ่งเป็นรางวัลมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมระดับโลก

เรือพระที่นั่งอนันตนาคราช เป็นเรือพระที่นั่งกิ่ง ซึ่งมีหัวเรือเป็นพญานาค ๗ เศียร เป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปสำคัญหรือผ้าพระกฐินในกระวนพยุหยาตราทางชลมารค

เรือพระที่นั่งอเนกชาติภุชงค์สร้างขึ้นในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ เป็นเรือพระที่นั่งสีพื้นชมพู นอกจากนี้ยังมีเครื่องประกอบและสิ่งของเครื่องใช้ในพระราชพิธีจัดแสดงด้วย เช่น บัลลังก์กัญญา บัลลังก์บุษบกพายชนิดต่างๆ เป็นต้น และเนื่องจากพื้นที่จำกัดจึงจัดแสดงเรือพระราชพิธีได้เพียง ๘ ลำ อีก ๕ ลำเก็บรักษาไว้ที่หมวดยานยนต์หลวงที่ท่าน้ำวาสุกรี โดยบางส่วนอยู่ใน ความควบคุมดูแลของกรมการขนส่งทหารเรือ

พระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์ของสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช ( วงเวียนใหญ่ )

วงเวียนที่สำคัญๆในกรุงเทพฯนั้นก็มีหลายแห่งด้วยกัน ซึ่งส่วนมากก็จะมีอนุสาวรีย์อยู่กลางวงเวียนนั้น หรือบางแห่งอาจไม่มีอนุสาวรีย์ แต่ก็มีความเป็นมาที่น่าสนใจไม่น้อย มาเริ่มกันที่วงเวียนแห่งแรกที่ "วงเวียนใหญ่" ศูนย์กลางที่สำคัญในย่านฝั่งธนฯ โดยบริเวณกลางวงเวียนใหญ่เป็นที่ตั้งของพระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์ของสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช ซึ่งสร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี 2496 หรือในสมัยจอมพล ป. พิบูลสงคราม

พระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์นี้เป็นที่เคารพนับถือของทั้งชาวฝั่งธนบุรีและคน ทั่วไป ลักษณะของอนุสาวรีย์เป็นพระรูปของสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราชทรงเครื่อง กษัตริย์และทรงพระมาลา ประทับอยู่บนหลังม้า หันพระพักตร์ไปทางทิศตะวันออกเฉียงใต้สู่จังหวัดจันทบุรี พระหัตถ์ขวาทรงพระแสงดาบชูออกไปเหนือพระเศียร พระหัตถ์ซ้ายทรงบังเหียนม้าในลักษณะนำเหล่าทหารรุกไล่ข้าศึกทุกวันที่ 28 ธันวาคมของทุกปี จะมีพิธีถวายบังคมพระบรมราชาอนุสาวรีย์สมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช และมีพิธีบวงสรวงดวงพระวิญญาณของพระองค์
เนื่องจากในวันนี้เป็นวันที่สมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช กอบกู้เอกราชชาติไทยกลับคืนหลังจากการเสียกรุงครั้งที่สอง ปราบดาภิเษกขึ้นเป็นพระมหากษัตริย์แห่งกรุงธนบุรี

พระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์สมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช – 295 แสดงชาวจันทบุรีมีความสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของ สมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช ที่ทรงกอบกู้อิสรภาพจากพม่า และในระหว่างที่พระองค์ทรงรวบรวมกำลังเพื่อกอบกู้บ้านเมืองนั้น ทรงใช้เมืองจันทบุรีเป็นฐานที่มั่นสำคัญ ชาวจันทบุรีจึงได้ร่วมก่อสร้างพระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์ไว้เป็นอนุสาวรีย์สองแห่งคือพระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์ ณ บริเวณสวนสาธารณะทุ่งนาเชย อ.เมือง พระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์ ณ บริเวณค่ายตากสิน

เป็นสะพานข้ามแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาแห่งที่ 2 รองลงจากสะพานพระพุทธยอดฟ้า เชื่อมระหว่างฝั่งพระนคร ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในเขตบางคอแหลมบริเวณสี่แยกถนนตก และฝั่งธนบุรีในพื้นที่เขตธนบุรีบริเวณสี่แยกบุคคโล ใช้ในการคมนาคมทางบกข้ามแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาและปิด-เปิด ให้เรือรบเข้าออก ลักษณะการก่อสร้างเป็นแบบคอนกรีตอัดแรง โดยวิธีการอิสระซึ่งยาวที่สุดในประเทศไทย มีช่องทางจราจร 3 ช่อง ความยาวสะพาน 350.80เมตร ช่วงกลางน้ำยาว 226 เมตร เริ่มเปิดใช้งานเมื่อวันที่ 25 มิถุนายน 2502

ศาลหลักเมืองกรุงเทพมหานคร

                  ใจกลางกรุงเทพฯ ที่มีสีเขียว และความร่มรื่นของต้นไม้แห่งนี้ มีเสียงแห่งประวัติศาสตร์ก้องอยู่ ณ ที่นี้... เสียงสะท้อนแห่งที่มาของกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์เมื่อครั้งสถาปนากรุงเทพมหานครเป็นเมืองหลวงแห่งใหม่ ได้ถูกจารึกเป็นเครื่องหมายไว้ที่นี่ ด้วย "หลักเมือง" พร้องเสียงร่ำร้องจากอดีตถึงพิธีกรรมในการตั้งหลักเมือง นับเนื่องจากอดีต พิธีการตั้งเสาหลักเมืองไม่ใช่แบบแผนของชาวพุทธ แต่เป็นธรรมเนียมของพราหมณ์ที่มีมาแต่สมัยอินเดีย เรื่องของพิธีกรรมและไสยศาสตร์ จึงเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง และเกิดเสียงเล่าขาน เป็นเรื่องราวพิสดารจากผู้เฒ่าในกาลก่อน

ประวัติความเป็นมา
                   พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช รัชกาลที่ ๑ ได้โปรดเกล้าให้กระทำพิธียกเสาหลักเมือง เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ เดือน ๘ ขึ้น ๑๐ ค่ำ ตรงกับวันที่ ๒๑ เมษายน ปีพุทธศักราช ๒๓๒๕ เวลา ๖.๕๔ นาฬิกา การฝังเสาหลักเมืองมีพิธีรีตองตามพระตำราที่เรียกว่า พระราชพิธีนครฐาน ใช้ไม้ชัยพฤกษ์ทำเป็นเสาหลักเมือง ประกับด้านนอกด้วยไม้แก่นจันทน์ที่มี เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางวัดที่โคนเสา ๒๙ เซนติเมตร สูง ๑๘๗ นิ้ว กำหนดให้ความสูงของเสาหลักเมืองอยู่พ้นดิน ๑๐๘ นิ้ว ฝังลงในดินลึก ๗๙ นิ้ว มีเม็ดยอดรูปบัวตูม สวมลงบนเสาหลัก ลงรักปิดทอง ล้วงภายในไว้เป็นช่องสำหรับบรรจุดวงชะตาเมือง
                   ในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ ๔ ทรงโปรดเกล้าให้ขุดเสาหลักเมืองเดิม และจัดสร้างเสาหลักเมืองขึ้นใหม่ทดแทนของเดิมที่ชำรุด เป็นแกนไม้สัก ประกับนอกด้วยไม้ชัยพฤกษ์ ๖ แผ่น สูง ๑๐๘ นิ้ว ฐานเป็นแท่นกว้าง ๗๐ นิ้ว บรรจุดวงเมืองในยอดเสาทรงมัณฑ์ที่มีความสูงกว่า ๕ เมตร และอัญเชิญหลักเมืองเดิม และหลักเมืองใหม่ ประดิษฐานในอาคารศาลหลักเมืองที่สร้างใหม่ มียอดปรางค์ ก่ออิฐฉาบปูนขาว ได้แบบอย่างจากศาลหลักเมืองกรุงศรีอยุธยา เมื่อปีพุทธศักราช ๒๓๙๕
                     ศาลหลักเมืองได้รับการปฏิสังขรณ์อีกหลายครั้ง ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๒๓ มีการบูรณะซ่อมแซมครั้งใหญ่ เพื่อเตรียมการเฉลิมฉลองสมโภชกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ครบ ๒๐๐ ปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๒๕ ศาลหลักเมืองได้รับการบูรณะอย่างสวยงาม ด้านทิศเหนือจัดสร้างซุ้มสำหรับประดิษฐานเทพารักษ์ทั้ง ๕ คือเจ้าพ่อหอกลอง เจ้าพ่อเจตคุปต์ พระเสื้อเมือง พระทรงเมือง และพระกาฬไชยศรี มีการจัดละครรำ ละครชาตรี ให้ผู้ต้องการบูชา ว่าจ้างรำบูชาศาลหลักเมืองอยู่ด้านข้าง

ตำนานสืบสานประวัติศาสตร์

                      ครั้งโบราณถือว่าพิธีสร้างพระนคร หรือสร้างบ้าน สร้างเมือง จะศักดิ์สิทธิ์ต้องทำพิธีฝังอาถรรพ์ ๔ ประตูเมือง และต้องฝังเสาหลักเมืองแม้เสามหาปราสาทก็เช่นกัน การฝังอาถรรพ์ กระทำด้วยการป่าวร้องรียกผู้คนที่มีชื่อ อิน, จัน, มั่น และคง ไปทั่วเมือง เมื่อชาวเมืองเคราะห์ร้ายขานรับ ก็จะถูกนำตัวมาสถานที่ทำพิธี และถูกจับฝังลงหลุมเป็นๆ ทั้ง ๔ คน เพื่อให้ดวงวิญญาณของคนเหล่านั้นอยู่เฝ้าหลักเมือง เฝ้าปราสาท และประตูเมือง คอยคุ้มครองบ้านเมือง.. ป้องกันอริราชศัตรูและปัดเป่าโรคภัยมิให้เกิดแก่คนในนคร เรื่องราวเช่นนี้ มีเล่าสืบต่อกันมาตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา
                        แม้ในการตั้งเสาหลักเมืองแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ก็ยังมีการกล่าวถึงว่าเมื่อครั้งพระบามทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช รัชกาลที่ ๑ ทรงสถาปนากรุงเทพมหานครขึ้นเป็นราชธานี พระองค์ทรงโปรดเกล้าให้ตั้งพิธียกเสาหลักเมือง เพื่อเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจ สร้างความร่มเย็นเป็นสุขให้แก่ราษฎรและเพื่อเป็นนิมิหมายแสดงที่ตั้งแห่งพระนคร เมื่อวันที่ ๒๑ เดือนเมษายน ปีพุทธศักราช ๒๓๒๕ ซึ่งเสาหลักเมืองที่ใช้เป็นเสาไม้ชัยพฤกษ์ ที่ประกับด้านนอกด้วยไม้แก่นจันทน์ที่มี เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง ๗๕ เซนติเมตร สูง ๒๗ เซนติเมตร ที่มีความสูง ๑๘๗ นิ้ว และบรรจุดวงเมืองไว้ที่ยอดเสารูปบัวตูมบรรจุดวงชะตาของกรุงเทพฯ
                       ได้มีการสร้างเสาหลักเมืองใหม่ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๔ แทนของเดิมที่ชำรุดเป็นไม้ชัยพฤกษ์สูง ๑๐๘ นิ้ว ฐานเป็นแท่นกว้าง ๗๐ นิ้วมีอาคารยอดปรางค์อย่างที่เห็นในปัจจุบัน ในครั้งนั้นเล่ากันเป็นเรื่องพิสดารว่าก่อนตั้งเสาหลักเมือง พราหมณ์ได้ถือเอาฤกษ์ตามวันเวลา ภายในศาลหลักเมืองยังมีเทวรูปเจ้าพ่อสำคัญอีก ๕ องค์ คือ เทพารักษ์ เจ้า พ่อหอกลอง พระเสื้อเมือง พระทรงเมือง เจ้าพ่อเจตคุปต์ และพระกาฬไชยศรี
                         ซึ่งหญิงมีครรภ์จะเดินเข้ามาใกล้ปากหลุม ครั้งถึงวันเวลานั้น หญิงมีครรภ์คนหนึ่งเดินมาใกล้ปากหลุมจึงถูกผลักลงหลุมไป และทำพิธีตั้งเสาหลักเมืองฝังร่างหญิงคนนั้นไว้กับเสา เรื่องราวน่าเวทนาที่ใช้ชีวิตคนเป็นๆ ฝังไว้กับเสานี้ ไม่มีข้อมูลใดๆ มายืนยัน คงเป็นแต่เพียงเรื่องที่เล่าต่อๆ กันมาแม้ในพงศาวดารก็ไม่มีบันทึก ด้วยการตั้งเสาหลักเมืองถือเป็นพิธีมหามงคล ซึ่งพระมหากษัตริย์กระทำเพื่อให้เกิดความร่มเย็นเป็นสุขแก่ราษฎร การนำชีวิตผู้คนมาฝังทั้งเป็น ซึ่งไม่ใช่เรื่องมงคลจึงไม่น่าเป็นเรื่องจริง แต่อาจเป็นด้วยกาลเวลาหรือผู้เล่าเห็นแปลกในการประกอบพิธีกรรมอย่างพราหมณ์จึงแต่งเติมเรื่องราว ให้ดูแปลกไปเหมือนอย่างนิยายปรัมปรา

                          ในกาลต่อมา เมื่อเสาหลักเมืองและตัวศาลเริ่มชำรุดด้วยกาลเวลาที่ล่วงไป จนลุเข้าสู่รัชสมัยของพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ ๔ พระองค์ผู้ทรงปรีชาชาญในด้านโหราศาสตร์ ได้ตรวจดวงชะตาบ้านเมือง และพบว่าดวงชะตาของพระองค์เป็นอริแก่ลัคนาดวงเมือง จึงโปรดเกล้าให้ขุดเสาหลักเมืองเดิม และจัดทำเสาหลักเมืองขึ้นใหม่ ด้วยแกนไม้สักประกับนอกด้วยไม้ชัยพฤกษ์ ๖ แผ่น บรรจุดวงเมืองในยอดเสาทรงมัณฑ์ที่มีความสูงกว่า ๕ เมตร และอัญเชิญหลักเมืองเดิม และหลักเมืองใหม่ประดิษฐานในศาลใหม่ที่มียอดปรางค์ ก่ออิฐฉาบปูนขาว เมื่อปีพุทธศักราช ๒๓๙๕
                           จากนั้นมา ศาลหลักเมืองก็ได้รับการปฏิสังขรณ์อีกหลายครั้ง จวบจนปัจจุบัน ศาลหลักเมืองได้รับการบูรณะอย่างสวยงามภายในตัวมณฑปด้านทิศเหนือได้ถูกจัดสร้างเป็นซุ้มสำหรับประดิษฐานเทพารักษ์ทั้ง ๕ คือ เจ้าพ่อหอกลอง, เจ้าพ่อเจตคุปต์, พระเสื้อเมือง, พระทรงเมือง, และพระกาฬไชยศรี โดยมีเสาหลักเมืองในรัชกาลที่ ๔ ตั้งอยู่ด้านหน้า และเสาหลักเมืองในรัชกาลที่ ๑ ตั้งอยู่ทางช่องประตูมุขขวา ในวันนี้ เสียงลือเสียงเล่าถึงเรื่องราวของผู้สังเวยชีวิตที่ก้นหลุมเสาหลักเมือง ได้ลางเลือนไปตามวันเวลา เป็นเรื่องเล่าปรัมปราที่ยังไร้เหตุแห่งความจริง
                            คงเหลือไว้เพียงภาพปัจจุบัน ของความเชื่อถือศรัทธาในความศักดิ์สิทธิ์แห่งเสาหลักเมือง ซึ่งอยู่ภายในศาล ที่ผู้คนยังคงแห่แหนจากทั่วสารทิศ นับจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน เพื่อพึ่งพาอำนาจสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ให้คอยปกปักรักษา ปกป้องคุ้มภัย

ทุกวันนี้ศาลหลักเมืองจึงยังคงประดุจหลักใจ หลักชัย ที่เป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของคนไทย ดังพระประสงค์ขององค์ปฐมบรมกษัตริย์เฉกเช่นที่เคยเป็นมาแต่ครั้งอดีต จวบจนปัจจุบัน

อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ

อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ เป็นอนุสาวรีย์ใน กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยรอบเป็นวงเวียน อยู่กึ่งกลางระหว่างถนนพหลโยธิน ถนนพญาไท และถนนราชวิถีตั้งอยู่ที่ กิโลเมตรที่ 0.0 ถนนพหลโยธิน ความสำคัญของอนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิคือเป็นอนุสรณ์สถานที่สำคัญและเป็นที่จารึกรายนามทหารที่เสียชีวิตใน กรณีพิพาทระหว่างไทยกับฝรั่งเศส (สงครามอินโดจีน สงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 และ สงครามเกาหลี อีกทั้งยังเป็นต้นทางของถนนพหลโยธิน รวมไปถึงศูนย์กลางการคมนาคมที่มีรถโดยสารให้บริการในหลายเส้นทาง

ประวัติ

อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ สร้างขึ้นเพื่อเทิดทูนวีรกรรมของทหาร ตำรวจและพลเรือนที่เสียชีวิตไปในกรณีพิพาทระหว่างไทยกับฝรั่งเศส เรื่องการปรับปรุงพรมแดนไทยกับอินโดจีนใหม่ ซึ่งในครั้งนั้นมีผู้เสียชีวิต 59 คน พลเอกพระยาพหลพยุหเสนาเป็นผู้วางศิลาฤกษ์เมื่อวันที่ 24 มิถุนายน 2484 และจอมพล ป.พิบูลย์สงคราม เป็นผู้กระทำพิธีเปิดเมื่อวันที่ 24 มิถุนายน 2485 สถาปนิกผู้ออกแบบอนุสาวรีย์คือ หม่อมหลวงปุม มาลากุลก่อนที่จะมีการสร้างวงเวียนอนุสาวรีย์ บริเวณจุดตัดของถนนพญาไท ถนนราชวิถี และถนนพหลโยธิน นี้มีชื่อเรียกว่า "สี่แยกสนามเป้า"

ความหมาย

การออกแบบอนุสาวรีย์ของหม่อมหลวงปุ่ม มาลากุล มีแรงบันดาลใจห้าประการ คือ
• ปฏิบัติการของกองทัพทั้ง 4
• ปฏิบัติการอย่างกล้าหาญของกำลังพลโดยเฉพาะ
• อาวุธที่ทหารใช้สู้รบ
• เหตุการณ์ที่สำคัญที่ต้องเปิดการสู้รบ
• ความสนใจของประชาชน
หม่อมหลวงปุ่มใช้ดาบปลายปืน ซึ่งเป็นอาวุธประจำกายทหาร โดยใช้ดาบปลายปืนห้าเล่มรวมกัน จัดตั้งเป็นกลีบแบบลูกมะเฟือง ปลายดาบชี้ขึ้นบน ส่วนคมของดาบหันออก ก่อสร้างด้วยคอนกรีตเสริมเหล็กประดับหินอ่อน มีความสูงประมาณ 50 เมตร ดาบปลายปืนส่วนด้ามตั้งเหนือเพดานห้องโถงใหญ่ ซึ่งใช้เก็บกระสุนปืนใหญ่บรรจุอัฐิทหารที่เสียชีวิตในกรณีพิพาทไทย-ฝรั่งเศส
ด้านนอกตอนโคนดาบปลายปืน มีรูปปั้นหล่อทองแดง ขนาดสองเท่าคนธรรมดา ของนักรบ 5 เหล่า คือ ทหารบก ทหารเรือ ทหารอากาศ ตำรวจ และพลเรือน ศิลปินผู้ปั้นรูปเหล่านี้เป็นลูกศิษย์ของ ศาสตราจารย์ศิลป พีระศรี เช่น สิธิเดช แสงหิรัญ, อนุจิตร แสงเดือน,พิมาน มูลประกอบ,แช่ม ขาวมีชื่อ ภายใต้การควบคุมของ ศ.ศิลป พีระศรี

ด้านนอกของผนังห้องโถง เป็นแผ่นทองแดงจารึกนามผู้เสียชีวิต รายนามผู้ที่ได้รับการจารึกไว้ มีทั้งสิ้น 160 คน เป็นทหารบก 94 คน ทหารเรือ 41 คน ทหารอากาศ 13 คน และตำรวจสนาม 12 คน จนถึงปัจจุบันแผ่นทองแดงจารึกรายนามผู้เสียชีวิต และผู้สละชีพเพื่อชาติจากสงครามต่างๆ ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ.2483-2497 รวมทั้งสิ้น 801 คน

พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม

พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม และรัฐสภา พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม สร้างในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 เป็นอาคารหินอ่อนแบบ เรเนอซองส์ ของอิตาลี ทั้งนี้มีพระราชประสงค์ที่จะสร้างขึ้นเพื่อเป็นที่รับรองแขกเมือง และประชุมปรึกษาราชการแผ่นดิน พระที่นั่งนี้สร้างเสร็จในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 6 บนเพดานโดมของพระที่นั่งมีภาพเขียนแฟรสโกที่สวยงามมาก เป็นภาพเกี่ยวกับพระราชกรณียกิจที่สำคัญของพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 1-6 แห่งราชวงศ์จักรี พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม ใช้เป็นที่ประกอบพระราชพิธี และรัฐพิธีต่างๆ และเคยเป็นที่ประชุมรัฐสภาแต่เมื่อได้มีการสร้างตึกรัฐสภ าใหม่ ซึ่งอยู่ด้านหลังของพระที่นั่งนี้ การประชุมรัฐสภา จึงได้ย้ายไปประชุมที่ตึกรัฐสภาใหม่ ส่วนพิธีเปิดประชุมรัฐสภาจะกระทำที่พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม

พระที่นั่งองค์นี้ จัดได้ว่า เป็นรัฐสภาแห่งแรกของประเทศไทย เพราะว่า ในช่วงที่เพิ่งเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครองเป็นระบอบประชาธิปไตย อันมีพระมหากษัตริย์เป็นประมุข ได้ใช้พระที่นั่งองค์นี้ในการประชุมสภาผู้แทนราษฎร ก่อนที่จะย้ายมาอยู่ ณ รัฐสภาปัจจุบัน ซึ่งอยู่ข้างๆพระที่นั่งองค์นี้ รวมทั้งยังเป็นสถานที่ประกอบพระราชพิธี รัฐพิธี สำคัญๆมากมาย อาทิ รัฐพิธีพระราชทานรัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย พระราชพิธีสถาปนา สมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราช เจ้าฟ้ามหาวชิราลงกรณ สยามมกุฎราชกุมาร พระราชพิธีสมโภชเดือนและขึ้นพระอู่ พระเจ้าหลานเธอ พระองค์เจ้าทีปังกรรัศมีโชติ

ประวัติความเป็นมา

พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สร้างพระที่นั่งภายในพระราชวังดุสิต โดยตั้งอยู่ในทางด้านทิศตะวันออกของพระที่นั่งอัมพรสถาน เพื่อใช้เป็นสถานที่เสด็จออกมหาสมาคม พระองค์ได้เสด็จพระราชดำเนินวางศิลาฤกษ์ในวันที่ 11 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2451 พร้อมทั้งพระราชทานชื่อพระที่นั่งว่า พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม ซึ่งเป็นชื่อพระที่นั่งองค์หนึ่งภายในพระอภิเนาว์นิเวศน์ พระบรมมหาราชวังที่สร้างขึ้นในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว แต่ด้วยสภาพที่ทรุดโทรมยากแก่การบูรณะจึงได้รื้อลง
พระที่นั่งอนันตมหาสมาคมออกแบบโดยมาริโอ ตามานโญ โดยมีเจ้าพระยายมราช (ปั้น สุขุม) เป็นแม่กองจัดการก่อสร้าง แต่พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าได้เสด็จสวรรคตก่อนที่พระที่นั่งจะสร้างเสร็จสมบูรณ์ อย่างไรก็ตาม พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวก็ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้า ฯ ให้ดำเนินการก่อสร้างพระที่นั่งต่อไปจนเสร็จสมบูรณ์เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2458 โดยใช้ระยะเวลาก่อสร้างทั้งสิ้น 8 ปี ใช้งบประมาณประมาณ 15 ล้านบาท

สถาปัตยกรรม

พระที่นั่งอนันตมหาสมาคม มีลักษณะสถาปัตยกรรมแบบนีโอเรอเนสซองส์ (Neo Renaissance) และนีโอคลาสสิก (Neo classic) โดยตกแต่งพระที่นั่งด้วยหินอ่อน ซึ่งสั่งมาจากเมืองคารารา ประเทศอิตาลี โดยมีจุดเด่น คือ มีหลังคาโดมคลาสสิกของโรมอยู่ตรงกลาง และมีโดมเล็กๆโดยรอบอีก 6 โดม รวมทั้งสิ้นมี 7 โดม

ภายในพระที่นั่ง บนเพดานโดมมีภาพเขียนเฟรสโก เขียนบนปูนเปียก ซึ่งภาพจะติดทนกว่าภาพที่เขียนบนปูนแห้ง (ภาพจิตรกรรมไทยนิยมเขียนแบบปูนแห้ง)เกี่ยวกับ พระราชกรณียกิจที่สำคัญ ของพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 1-6 จำนวน 6 ภาพ โดยฝีมือเขียนภาพของ นายซี. รีโกลีและศาสตราจารย์แกลิเลโอ กินี

• เพดานโดมด้านทิศเหนือ เป็นภาพพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกครั้งดำรงพระยศเป็นสมเด็จเจ้าพระยามหากษัตริย์ศึก เสด็จกลับจากราชการทัพที่เขมร

• เพดานโดมด้านทิศตะวันออก เป็นภาพพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัยและพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงอุปถัมภ์งานศิลปะ

• เพดานโดมด้านทิศตะวันตก เป็นภาพเหตุการณ์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวเสด็จประทับเบื้องหน้าพระพุทธชินสีห์ แวดล้อมด้วย พระภิกษุและนักบวชต่างชาติศาสนนิกายต่างๆ แสดงนัยแห่งพระราชจรรยา ที่ทรงเป็นองค์ศาสนูปถัมภกของทุกศาสนาโดยไม่รังเกียจกีดกัน

• เพดานโดมด้านทิศใต้ของท้องพระโรงกลาง เป็นภาพพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวพระราชทานอภัยทาน และทรงเลิกประเพณีทาส
• เพดานโดมด้านทิศตะวันออกของท้องพระโรงกลาง เป็นภาพเหตุการณ์พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวเสด็จออกประทับ ณ พระที่นั่งบุษบกมาลาที่มุขเด็จ พระที่นั่งดุสิตมหาปราสาท เนื่องในงานพระราชพิธีบรมราชาภิเษกสมโภช เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2454
• เพดานโดมกลาง ซึ่งเป็นโดมใหญ่ที่สุด มีจารึกพระปรมาภิไธยย่อ “จปร.” ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ที่เพดานนับจากจากใต้โดมตลอดทั้งบริเวณท้องพระโรงกลางมีจารึกพระปรมาภิไธยย่อ “จปร.” สลับกัน “วปร.” อันเป็นพระปรมาภิไธยย่อของพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว
