4. Privacy campaigners have expressed concerns that the images produced by the new body scanners are very graphic and effectively represent a virtual strip search.

Strict UK child protection laws make it an offence to create indecent images of children and this will result in under 18s being exempt from body scans. Civil liberties groups have called for strictly enforced safeguards to ensure that images aren't published on the internet or distributed.

A 12 month trial of the new body scanning system was commenced at Manchester airport at the beginning of January 2010.The body scanner triall only started after under 18s were exempted from the security check.

Similar systems are in use in the United States where images are required to be deleted immediately. Concerns have been raised regarding the images of celebrities or those with unusual features being shared amongst airport security staff.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has said that new scanning devices risked breaching an individual's right to privacy under the Human rights act. The UK Departmetn of Transport are reported to be developing a strict code of practice that will prevent images derived from body scanners from being distributed.

The alleged terrorist action to blow up an American aircraft on December 25th has led to a rush to introduce the new technology at all British airports. Some have said that there is only a 50 to 60% chance that the new scanner technology would have detected the device carried by this alleged terrorist.

The proposed introduction of full body scanners has provoked a wide debate on the subject of civil liberties, privacy and security.

From Hard Labor to Easy Living - My Trip to Colorado

Notwithstanding my summers doing hard labor in Connecticut, I need to get away. I had been working for a Connecticut painting company and my back was so sore that I had to see a chiropractor. I guess I just knew that I needed some time away. Rather than hit the beach or travel to some exotic island I decided to head for the mountains. I bought an airline ticket through Southwest, the had direct flights to Denver.
I called a Denver limousine company and had been picked me up at the airport. My first night in town we went to a Colorado Rockies game and the Rockies beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3 to 1. The next day I took a trip to Breckenridge Colorado and I went fly fishing in the local river. I fished for 8 straight hours and I landed 6 fish, I even saw a bull snake on the river bank, which was a little scary. I let all of the trout go except one - which we pan fried that night at our hotel. I also had a side of green kale with the trout which went very well together.

Later in the week I had to get back to reality and I took a trip to Colorado Springs. There was a seminar are going on that was about various ways to make money online. I actually learned a lot and I am excited to try and create some residual income on the Internet. But I decided to try and not think about work and get back to relaxing.

I don't fly often and my last Egypt trip was scary!Uncategorized

I suppose I should introduce myself, I am Matthew, and the Last time I Flew, I may have passed out. More than 10 years ago was the last time I fainted when flying. Now I didn't feel as though I had a fear of flying, I have never really been scared about the prospect of flying, I just passed out. Going back on to a plane was very low on my priority list, and decided to stay at home for holidays in future, may sound sad, but obviously it wasn't in the house. About 2 years into my marriage, it was time to face my fears and get on a plane, all that way to Egypt, a massive mission!

All I could do was remember moments of when i was on the plane and then waking up at the arrival desk... Something else I better tell you as well, this also happened on the previous return flight as well¦ So I may have started to panic a little bit, even though I didn't know what I was panicking about! So there was the plane, choices had to be made, and the choice to turn around and run wasn't there. So I sat down, and nothing seemed to happen, my heart wasn't racing and everything seemed fine, I could see straight as well. Then the engines started, and still, I was ok, even when we were moving to the run way I felt fine!

This was all strange, I couldn't understand why I passed out the previous time, and before I knew it, we were in the air. At this time though, the holiday seemed like a really exciting experience. I couldn't wait to get to Egypt and then get on the plane back. Things just had to go wrong didn't they! The Captain in a loud but confident voice, boomed that we were going to be hitting some turbulence. OK I braced myself, and it was really rocking and shaking from side to side, I was really scared, and there was even a storm outside, things couldn't have looked much worse. I couldn't believe it but I made it, however somehow I did. I never thought I would be saying this, but I kind of wish I blacked out!

Egypt holidays Didn't actually appeal to me that much, and i never went back, next up was a decision between Maldives holidays or Sri Lanka holidays, both involve a aeroplane!

A few days of cold weather accompanied by some short but intense snowfall have wreaked havoc in the United Kingdom.

In some of the worst hit parts of the country roads are littered with abandoned cars. As temperatures rallied into positive figures today many were returning to retrieve their vehicles. Some people had found themselves trapped in their cars overnight in sub zero temperatures.

There has been extensive disruption to public transport with many train cancellations. Eurostar train services from Europe suffered a number of break downs due to snow getting into the train power systems. Around 2000 passengers were stranded for up to 16 hours in the tunnel beneath the English Channel. Some passengers reported suffering from claustrophobia, some from panic attacks and many have complained about the lack of information.

After three consecutive days with no service Eurostar have now begun to resume normal operation of their high speed train service. They now have huge passenger backlogs to deal with in both France and the UK.

The National Health service has told people to stay at home unless their journey is essential. This advice came after hospital accident and emergency departments reported record numbers of people requiring attention for injuries sustained as a result of falls on icy pavements.

The state of Colorado has so much to offer new visitors. Besides skiing, there is alot to do in this kick but state - you will be amazed. There is actually a lot more to Colorado then just skiing. Fly Fishing, golf or any outdoor sport can be participated in while visiting this fine state.

If you enjoy bustling cities then you will love Denver. I was recently visiting Denver and I was very impressed. I was in the area to take a course to learn how to make money online and once I was done I got to go out and see the sights. I was very impressed with the city and I was surprised at how clean it was.

Coming from Los Angeles where I see graffiti on most every bridge and highway wall. It was cool that there was no litter or pollution in Denver. I went to a Rockies game and watched the Rockies beat the Mets.

I visited Colorado Springs a day or two later. Forget driving on my own - I called a limousine in Colorado Springs. I had the limo driver take me through the Garden of the Gods and it wa so majestic. It was a bit expensive to get a room there, but it was well worth it.

That very afternoon I called a Vail limousine service and they drive me up to Vail and Breckenridge. I did some fly fishing on the river that runs through town and I caught five nice trout. The limo driver took me to Vail and it was a beautiful drive up the mountain. If you ever visit Colorado, I highly recommend visiting Vail! Of course you should also check out Denver and Colorado Springs. The summer is a beautiful time of year in this state and the scenery is something to behold!
