Typography is the subject of the graduation project of Thibault de Fournas and for that he put together one of the most inspiring videos I’ve seen in a while. The video is titled From Paper to Screen and it walk us through the evolution of typography. It is a must see.

Animation which shows typography evolution from paper to screen. The animation is divided in two parts. The first deals with the basic rules of typesetting. The second, is about the evolution of typography in cinema. Used mainly for Opening and Closing title.

We have been hard at work developing several new brands in the last few months. I am proud to announce that we just finished up working on “The Farmhouse” a new restaurant by my friend Randy Feltis and his wife Sarah.  The new restaurant brings a new food niche to Barrie that foodies are sure to eat up “Family-Sheek Farm Food”. Yes we came up with the misspelled word sheek for this brand. More visuals and story to The Farmhouse are coming soon!

Last year we worked with Marc Hill from MH Connect to launch his new brand Digital Giants. This one had some ups and downs as we explored all the different ideas for the logo and brand visuals. Again more to come on Digital Giants. I also did a branding project for one of my best friends growing up who has been doing legal video for many years and has made a name for himself in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He recently started Spencer Bush and Associates.

Last but not least we were involved in a new Restaurant Rebrand that is coming soon… Its Top Secret so I will let you know the details when I am able.

Some exciting new things at Thain Creative, we recently had new laminate floors installed by Karl Puska a really talented handy man. They look great, and the office is really starting to feel more like a graphic design studio. Due to the colour of the new floor I thought we could use a brown mascot around the office, in comes Psyrup. She is a Bull Dog and Pug/Jack Russell Mix, she is really personable and really really likes graphic design. Make sure you stop in and meet her if your around.

We are pleased to add three new brand identity projects to the website. We posted a few items on Facebook, and are now getting around to updating them on the website. We have been working over the last two months with a local favorite bar Kenzington and doing a complete Identity Rebrand. We have been working on Logo, Signs, Posters, Artwork, Menus, you name it and we have been quite happy with the hard work and results.

Another new restaurant to Barrie is Yoshi’Sushi, located on the south end, and will feature authentic japanese food with of course Sushi. Yoshi worked with us to create his brand identity and signage, including some print collateral.

Last but not least, I worked with Tiffany Liscoumb to develop a new identity for Red Bone Grooming Boutique. She has been working hard to launch her business and we were happy to be part of the brand identity design.
