TBAC was very distraught when she heard the news. She did not know Whitney personally. She was not an ardent fan of her music. Heck, she only started YouTubing her the day she died.

But there she was, more tears streaming down her face than all her previous breakups combined.

* * *

Dear Reader,

There is a theme that is repeated every time someone leaves: Appreciate those who are still with us. We take for granted their existence, and think that they will always be there. But they won’t. They leave. And sometimes suddenly.

We get so wrapped up in the busy-ness of our own lives. So call Mom and Dad. Hang out with your siblings. See Grandma and Grandpa. They’ll be happy to hear from you.

Affectionately,
That Blonde Asian Chick

My Second Home is Under a Rock: “The Argument for...

My Second Home is Under a Rock: “The Argument for Durians”

The Vietnamese started it. Particularly Vietnamese women, and their…assets.

Search “papaya” and “breasts” on Google, and you’ll get a sampling of such results:

Food that Grows Your Breasts - Green Papaya with Pork Rib Soup

6 Tips on How To Grow Bigger Boobs

[Beauty] Eating papaya to make your breast bigger?

Increase BREAST growth eating PAPAYA!!

When TBAC was turning into a teenager, Mom introduced the papaya into her diet. She was not particularly a fan, and only had it from time to time. When her younger sister was turning into a teenager, however, she ate the fruit religiously.

A decade or so later, TBAC saw the difference. Maybe Mom was right.

She tried to correct it by having papaya everyday. It didn’t work, so she switched to durian instead. She reasoned that the durian was as common as papaya in Vietnam, has a high fat content, and besides, who really knows if it’s the papaya, and not the durian, that’s responsible for enhancing assets?

Conclusion: The durian doesn’t seem to have asset-enhancing capabilities, but it is delicious!

* * *

Dear Reader,

I’ve digressed. The point is, I believe there is a purpose for all of nature’s creations.

So when I saw the spiky exterior, with the yellow fleshy fruit, the aromatic (pungent, to some) scent, and the high-caloric and high-fat content, I thought, “There must be something valuable about the durian.”

Some food for thought. No pun intended!

My. GOD! Christina…WTF!?!!??????!!!!!” Her cousin LHAOs.

TBAC paused, not understanding what the hell was so funny. Then a fluorescent light bulb alit. “OOHHHHHHHH Hahahahahaaaaa,” she giggles uncontrollably. “But her hair is just so white…!”

* * *

Dear Reader,

In my defense, if you saw her hair, you would have asked the same question… I am sure of it!

And isn’t it a good question though? So many people dye their hair black to make themselves look younger, more natural, and [insert other complimenting word]. But why not dye hair white? As George Bernard Shaw would advocate: Dream something different and ask, “Why (the hell) not?”

So do it — I bet it would look gorgeous :)

Affectionately,
That Blonde Asian Chick

In the meantime, find out what this blog is about, read about...

In the meantime, find out what this blog is about, read about me, and convert to Kuriism.
