Tinker Bell Half Marathon

2013-02-07T17:19:00.000-08:00

I did it! I completed a half marathon!

After being diagnosed as obese in 2009, I began making small changes in my life...drinking more water and exercising regularly. After participating in the Disneyland 5K a couple of years ago, I decided that, some day, I wanted to completed a half marathon. Well...that day was January 20, 2013, when I joined friends and family (and several thousand amazing Disney runners) at the Tinker Bell Half Marathon.

I was excited and a little fearful that my knee wouldn't hold out but it turned out to be an amazing morning! It was worth every minute of training and pain.....I can't wait for the next one!

Change can be a Good Thing

2012-05-14T09:37:00.001-07:00

I was cleaning up the computer files this morning and came acrossed these pictures. It reminded me why I take pictures of so many random things...you never know how long they are going to be there and it's nice to have a record of them. There are some things I'm going to miss in Disney California Adventure Park and some will not be missed at all.

I am SOOOOOO excited for June 15th!!!!!

it happened toward the end of the alphabet game....i know exactly what happened and when the joy of posting pictures of my favorite place disappeared...

i think i'm over it now and hope to be back to posting on a somewhat regular basis very soon.

i have some fun ideas and hope you will enjoy them also.....

Disney Photo Theme.....Z

2011-08-13T11:04:00.000-07:00

WOW! We did it! This week we finish up our 26 weeks of the Disney Alphabet theme. It has been great fun and I've met a lot of very creative bloggers. I'm going to try to post throughout the week (trying to make it last). Can't wait to see what everyone finds....don't forget to post a link so followers who aren't on twitter can find you.

Toontown has been a great place to find pictures for the alphabet game and it didn't disappoint this week. Tucked away in the corner of Mickey's prop barn was this mirror with the zodiac signs in it's frame.

F is for.......flowers! #disneyland

2011-08-06T11:19:00.000-07:00

Reposting for Destination Disney's Alphabet blog hop. There are a lot of great blogs linked up this week...be sure to check them out and leave some love!

This week you are invited to join us in finding things that begin with the letter "F" around the Disney parks. It's so easy to play along! Simply post pictures on your blog that fit the theme and then post a link in the comment section on this blog. Don't forget to post a link to the guidelines on your blog so your readers can join too. The guidelines can be found at "A is for Apple/Disney Photo Themes" (or you can just direct them to this post.)

It always amazes me how often the flowerbeds in Disneyland are completely replanted. I have so many pictures of the flowers in the hub but my all time favorites are the tulips. The first year I took the time to stop and smell the flowers, they were all in yellow.

This year they were a magnificent blend of pink white:

Do you have a favorite flower?

Disney Photo Theme ....letter "Y"

2011-08-05T13:27:00.000-07:00

It's Friday! (which is actually my Tuesday...but whatever) Today we begin our look at the letter "Y" around Disney. (which means next week we will finish up our alphabet theme and have to come up with another fun theme for our weekly photos....stay tuned)

Work has been crazy this past week and looks like it will continue to be so I'm going to post all my "Y" pictures today and just pop in when I can to see who's playing along. Don't forget to leave a link to your pictures in the comment section so we can all visit.
