Robben's move is Real close

It looks like the twinkle toed, diving expert is close to signing for Real Madrid for around £15m.

The Real president Calderon told a spanish radio station "It is a negotiation which will take place in coming days or weeks. If the situation is favourable financially, I think that he is a player who could be brought in."

It looks like Robben will be leaving for Spain, as Real are a team who almost always get who they want

Asian Cup Round-up

Saudia Arabia, Iran and South Korea made it through to the Asian Cup quarter finals, while China failed to make it through with their defeat to Uzbekistan. You would with their population they would have a few decent players, perhaps not.

The South Koreans just made it through beating Indonesia 1-0, whilst the Saudi's breezed through battering Bahrain 4-0. Iran looked comfortable with their 2-0 scoreline over Malaysia, with China's football development hitting the rocks as they crashed out 3-0 to Uzbekistan.

With Austrailia favourites and Japan just behind in the odds, who ever wins that quarter final match looks a good bet to take the Cup home.

Tevez Transfer Blowing Along

According to Fergie, Tevez's Transfer to Man Utd is "blowing along". The Argie pitbull looks set to complete a medical later this week even though there are still some complications between the FA and the Tevez's dodgy owner.

Fergie commented after United's 2-2 draw with Urawa Red Diamonds in the far east, with Van der Sar making a terrible blunder - i think he's past it.

With Smithy being left on the bench he could be heading out the door along with Heinze who reportedly has a £6m buy out clause. Richardson has already completed his move to Sunderland for £5.5m.

De ja vu for Shevchenko. AC Milan are waiting for the go-ahead from Chelsea for the £15 milion move of Shevchenko. Good bit of business by Milan who only sold him last summer for £31 million. Shevchenko is a better player for Milan as Chelsea style of pplay just doesn't suit him, he should do it and not think twice.

Man Utd are apparently going to reveal Tevez as their player on Thursday. With Alan Smith expexted to head to Villa, and Richardson jioning former team mate Roy Keane.

Goldenballs officially an LA Galaxy Player

David 'Goldenballs' Beckham has been officially unvield as an LA Galaxy player.

Hundreds of fans turned up to see Beckham, chanting "BEckham, Beckham" while posing for photographs with his new club.

As ever Victoria 'Posh Pout' had to get into the action, by posing for photographers, as always in her massive black sunglasses, before Goldenballs stepped out.

Brand Beckham has now officially moved camp to break the US, and it looks like they're going to break America. It is reported that Beckham is earning $250 million over the next 5 years. YEAH thats right £125 million, pphhfff!

Beckham's first match in an LA Galaxy shirt will be against last years Premier League runners up Chelsea, in a friendly on 21 July.

Will Beckham be able to help his new team mates out (who are sitting at a poor 12th in the league) with some of those trademark crosses and set pieces? Watch this space

Liverpool get Babel and Benayoun

Liverpool have completed the signing of promising winger Ryan Babel from Ajax in a £11.5 million deal. Benayoun has also signed for the scouse club today switching from West Ham for a fee of £5 million.

Babel is a good signing for Rafa, being only 20 and highly rated. Hopefully we will see some exciting football from Liverpool and not the boring long ball tactic.

Benayoun, hmmmm... not to sure what they were thinking there.
