Ice cream is one of the best desserts of all time. Ice cream really has unlimited possibilities in its flavors, but there is a big problem….stores only sell a limited range of flavors. Well I was down in Columbus, OH not too long ago visiting a couple who are both professors at The Ohio State University. Well after we finished an excellent dinner at their house they pulled out two containers of ice cream. They were of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. We sat and enjoyed flavors you just don’t find everyday…Pistachio and Lemon Yogurt!!! Oh man were they great. The were for sure splendid. In fact they were so good I had to run to the nearest store that they actually sell in and bought five containers of it. I got the pistachio and the lemon like we tried but I also got the Mackenzie Creamery Goat Cheese with Cognac Figs and the Salty Caramel. Now were else do you find those kind of great flavors. If you ever get a chance to try any of their flavors I highly recommend it. They have great taste and an amazing selection of flavors and that is why I love Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream.

There is one thing in this world that I believe most people love….music. Now of course it’s hard to find one type of music that everyone loves, but nearly everyone loves at least one type of music. Be that electronic, hip-hop, country or pop, most people love to listen to something. Most people, like myself, even love a range of different types. I work in a place because of electromagnetic interference and the sheer location prevents me from getting a lot of radio stations. I used to try to find local streaming stations but not all their websites were that easy to get onto. Imagine than my great surprise when I learned I could make my own station. It’s a great place called Pandora.

I know most of you know it already but man just in case there is someone who might read this that hasn’t, it is great. Make a login and just put a song or artist that you like and it will start spitting out songs like it. They have thumbs up and thumbs down voting for you to tell it if you like their suggestions or not. After some time you don’t need to hit anything. It does take some time to dial in a station to get it just right but when it is done, man is it nice. You just log in and bam – music all day long just like you like. There are a few commercials in the mix but nothing like a radio station.

Another great thing about is for us that mike multiple types of music. You aren’t limited to one station. You can multiple stations each with a different type. You could build an electronic station and a classic rock station. Those are two of mine. One I started with the band Daft Punk. The other I started with Yes.

So enjoy all the free music you can handle. I love music, I love it for free and Pandora gives me all of that and that is why I love Pandora.

I tell you what, I love a good story as much as the next person but there is a huge problem…I hate to read. I also have a good 30 minute drive to work. What is a person to do??? BAM audio books. Man are these things great. Get the stories you crave and fill up time in the car. The people who read these are great, well most anyway. Some of them even do all the characters in voice. Jim Dale, who did all the Harry Potter American Versions, did all the different voices for the characters. Long car trips can go so fast when you have a nice audio book. Go to your local library they will have tons of books on CD or tape or whatever you need. Audible is also an internet company that you can buy books from in mp3 form. How convenient is that!!!! So go on now enjoy a good story without having to read anything except the title and CD number. I love stories and hate to read, that is why i love audio books.
