Ok, so this is still a pretty color but not my favorite. UNTIL, I added China Glaze Matte Magic to it. Now I love this Lippmann polish as well.

Burts Bees Cuticle Cream

So I'm on a nail kick so I'm also on a cuticle oil kick too. Now to be honest I've had this cuticle cream for YEARS. I don't remember when I got it, but I'm sure it's been 5 or 10 years since I received it. But I guess it was just waiting for me to get into it and since I finally have; I love it! It's soft, it smells good and it's solid. I'll probably buy more.

Icing Gold Glitter

I free handed this French mani with gold glitter. The glitter is all tiny specs with little flashes of red and silver. I love it.

For a natural look and feel I use Orlys French and Orlys Bonder that has a rubberized feel for a base coat. Unfortunately, you can't see the slight rise color that the French leaves. It truly is lovely.

Half Moon Mani

After a week of wearing No More Drama by Deborah Lippmann it finally started chipping at the end of my nails so instead of re-doing my entire mani I just gave myself a half-moon mani.

I used Avery Reinforcement Labels and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Uptempo Plum.

Apricot Cuticle Oil

I've become addicted to cuticle oils. I bought this one to keep at my desk in my office and I guess I don't really see the worth in this. It doesn't have any discernible smell, the brush is rock hard and to me it might as well be baby oil, but I guess it does it's job and it is a pretty big bottle so I won't run out of it any time soon.

No More Drama

This is Deborah Lippmann's No More Drama and it goes perfectly with my skin tone. All the nudes this season are lovely but I have to admit I've been feeling a little left out because of course the nudes are for those non-brown pigments, but this one was perfect and felt like it was made just for me. Well, maybe not for me, but for Mary J. Blige, so yes the only polish creator that created a nude for non-white skin tones had to be made by a woman of color, so at least we women of color are giving ourselves some attention.

I bought this little blue tin quite a while ago and I opened it today and I have to say; I LOVE it!

The scent is a little strong for me but I'm picky about lotion scents. The texture is pure cream. It's perfect and the packaging makes me love it e en more. For $.99 I'm buying tons of these.

I don't have OPI Lincoln Park After Dark but I did pick up La Moss. And although I can't compare the two I think they may be quite similar...

La Moss is a dark reddish almost brown color. Application was easy and I only used two coats.

I so wish I could put this on a few people's desks and mail them to a few others, but alas, I won't...well maybe anonymously.

Its the Unofficial Business invoice for the Incredibly Annoying Clients.

In it you can charge extra for "comfort pizza" and the drinks you can to consume to calm the nerves after you deal with these jerks.

I haven't bought this...yet...but I will. Thanks Jessica Hische for finally creating something we can all use...even for my husband one some days. :)

So I have an obsession with Chapstick. Lip balm. And anything else that I can smear on my lips. I don't wear make-up, but used to wear it religiously, but now only do on nights out and stuff. But my lips are always smeared with something.

(Wait...that sounded kinda porny....sorry...)

Anyway, my current favorite is EOS. I love. I've only tried this melon flavored one and the lemon one and I love them both.

First the egg shape...

And then when you open it you think you'll have to stick your finger in there like Carmex and then smear it on your lips, but Oh! Surprise! Its actually protruding so you just glide it on like a regular stick lip balm.

And to be completely honest, they were on clearance at King Soopers for $1.50 so that's really why I picked them up, but nonetheless, I love them and will pay full price when I run out of these.

Oh, and they also make lotions and other stuff so I'm gonna check those out too. :)

I have been following several nail blogs and found Chloe's Nails. First of all, she's awesome and second...well she's awesome.

I saw this type of manicure first at ...love Megan and knew that I wanted to do it and then Chloe's Nails taught me that I could use SCOTCH TAPE (!OMG!) to make the tips and there ya go. I don't have to spend money to buy the expensive $5 guides to paint my tips.

I have them on my toes too. :)

Oh and sorry for the sucky picture. I promise to stop taking them with my iPhone and start taking them with my Nikon.

Cross It Off! App Store Find!

I coupon. Therefore I'm the lady that holds the line up at the grocery store pushing little pieces of paper at the very annoyed cashier.

I also follow a ton of couponing blogs through my Google Reader and have tried using OneNote, my notes folder in my iPhone, numerous task lists other shopping list apps and none of them have been simple enough for me to list all the deals I want to buy.

Gosh I'm dramatic.

Take a look at a screen shot of Cross It Off! Lite! I love it! Free in the app store for the Lite version of it. You can enter as many lists as you want in the color that you want (I like purple) and then with a swipe of your finger to the left of the screen over your item it crosses it off! Of course you can edit the lists and remove entire items or just crossed off items, but being able to cross of one item at a time and still see it?

New Obsession

No I'm not dead.

I'm just not very crafty and I change hobbies as often as I change the oil in the swagger wagon, so although I may still be spray painting stuff around the house, I'm not a crafty lady.

But my new obsession is my nails. I LOVE my nail polish. This is the new one below. Its an Essie color and I don't remember the name, but I'm doing my tips tonight and I will post another picture.

Hope everyone is well and ready to jump into a new hobby with me. :)

V-Day Door Decoration

So I went to Michael's thinking I would get a heart shaped styrofoam and ~~because I'm such a big procrastinator~~ they were already sold out.

So I bought this wood heart that cost me 99 cents.

Paint from Sherwin Williams for a $1 in Real Red.

I painted both sides of the heart red with my foam brush and stirred the paint with a chop stick.

I'm VERY technical, you know.

I cut multiple multiple lengths of ribbon to hang it by.

I super glued the ribbon to the front of the heart.

I bought two types of valentine themed cupcake cups.

Then I started super gluing them to the front of the heart.

After cover the full front of the heart, I got this...

Pretty huh?

And a view from the back of the heart. :)

Valspar Made Me Paint My Door

I ordered my sample with my front door in mind.

My husband told me that we will not have a purple front door. Then he went out to race his rc cars and when he came home...

I proved him wrong.

This is probably on every single DIY or craft blog ever and now its in my house.

I found this frame at a friend's garage sale and she gave it to me for free!

I pinned it on my wall and traced the inside of the frame with a pencil.

I then laid down some painters tape around the area that I traced.

I took my frame outside along with some bright red spray paint...I LOVE spray paint.

Spray, spray, spray...

Now this is a plastic frame and the back looks like this....

So since there is really no where to actually hang it I took a couple of push pins and stuck them in the wall where the top of the frame would be.

Then I took two more and hot glued them in the bottom of the frame so that when I hung the frame on the two pins in the wall I could just push the bottom of the frame into the wall with the pins that were glued in the frame.

Hope fully that makes sense. If not have a drink and maybe it will then.

All done...love it!
