Comforter - Now is the Time

Are you putting off your final decision to acquire a down comforter?

I can easily recognize the reason why you delayed your purchase– in fact I had been sitting on the fence, postponing purchasing a new down bed comforter until the fall - what with the economic climate and all. So I can certainly relate with your reluctance to purchase right now.

But I read a new press release this weekend which should make our choices easier....

The price of a down bed comforter will dramatically rise by the autumn of this year

And Get This – By this time next year your down bed comforter could cost you a whopping Twenty to Fifty Percent extra !

Sometimes you and I realize delay is costly. But you can easily take advantage of our knowledge in addition to save ourselves money in the end.

Yet being conscious of this is certainly welcome information for us – especially given that we were currently seriously considering purchasing a down comforter .

But exactly why this alarming price increase? Haven't prices for down bed comforters been the cheapest they've been for many years?

3 aspects will be to blame for this kind of price jump

1. Emerging new economies. Currently there is an ever growing Chinese domestic interest in down filled comforters.

2. Higher commodity prices. The existing spot market prices with regard to duck down, goose down, and cotton down-proof shells – the 3 primary elements for any down bed comforter – have significantly improved Ten To Fifty Percent in the past couple of months.

3. Global economy. The economic climate is thankfully improving, however with this will come rising demand for high-class items – down comforters included.

Warning: Don't wait. Buying a down bed comforter will certainly cost you much more 6 months from now

5 Ways to Deal with Latest Hotel Scam

Some hotels benefit from 'overbooking' at your expense. Here are 5 tips to avoid the latest travel scam.

You arrive at your hotel only to be told it is overbooked and the room you reserved is not available Even in a downward economy that has seen room occupation rates at an all-time low, people are still being walked down, experts say.

So what if it happens to you?

Refuse the room. Instead of immediately agreeing to the alternative accommodation, politely stand your ground and remind the hotel that you have a guaranteed reservation.

Try to find out the real story . When a hotel says your room isn't available, it doesn't necessarily mean the hotel is full.

Invoke your status . If you're a frequent guest, and you're in danger of being walked down, this would be a good time to reveal your program membership card or any other clout you might have.

Use humor. You may not feel in a humorous mood, but cracking a joke just might help. Hotel employees often go out of their way for people who are friendly.

Be nice. When faced with an involuntary downgrade, you may not be feeling very nice either -- but putting on your diplomatic hat could make the difference between being downgraded and upgraded.

See to the details. If you're being moved, ask for perks such as taxi fares and complimentary breakfast.

By following these steps you may not end up with a room in the hotel you booked but neither will you be downgraded to a lesser hotel either.

Check Out that Credit Card

People sure stay busy trying to cheat us, don't they?

A friend went to the local gym and placed his belongings in the locker. After the workout and a shower, he came out, saw the locker open, and thought to himself, 'Funny, I thought I locked the locker.'

Hmm? He dressed and just flipped the wallet to make sure all was in order. Everything looked okay - all cards were in place.. A few weeks later his credit card bill came - a whooping bill of $14,000!

He called the credit card company and started yelling at them, saying that he did not make the transactions. Customer care personnel verified that there was no Mistake in the system and asked if his card had been stolen.

'No,' he said, but then took out his wallet, pulled out the credit card, and yep - you guessed it - a switch had been made. An expired similar credit card from the same bank was in the wallet. The thief broke into his locker at the gym and switched cards.

Verdict: The credit card issuer said since he did not report the card missing earlier, he would have to pay the amount owed to them.

How much did he have to pay for items he did not buy?
$9,000! Why were there no calls made to verify the amount swiped? Small amounts rarely trigger a 'warning bell' with some credit card companies. It just so happens that all the small amounts added up to big one!

Make sure the credit cards in your wallet are yours.

Check the name on the card every time you sign for something and/or the card is taken away for even a short period of time.

How to Safely Lock Your Car

I locked my car --- as I walked away I heard my car door unlock. I went back and locked my car again three times. I looked around and there were two guys sitting in a car in the fire lane next to the store. When I looked straight at them they did not unlock my car again.

While traveling, my son stopped at a roadside park. He came out to his car less than 4-5 minutes later and found someone had gotten into his car, and stolen his cell phone, laptop computer, GPS navigator, briefcase.....you name it...

He called the police and since there were no signs of his car being broken into - the police told him that there is a device that robbers are using now to clone your security code when you lock your doors on your car using your key-chain locking device..

They sit a distance away and watch for their next victim. They know you are going inside of the store, restaurant, or bathroom and have a few minutes to steal and run.

The police officer said to manually lock your car door- by hitting the lock button inside the car, that way if there is someone siting in a parking lot watching for their next victim it will not be you.

When you hit the lock button on your car upon exiting...it does not send the security code, but if you walk away and use the door lock on your key chain - it sends the code through the airwaves where it can be stolen.

Something totally new to us....and real. Be aware of this and please pass this information on...look how many times we all lock our doors with our remote...just to be sure we remembered to lock them.....and bingo someone has our code...and whatever was in the car...can be stolen.

How to Eat Healthy When Money is Tight

If you are interesting in eating a healthy diet compared to your current diet, I have good news or you—you don’t have to be rich to do so. It is fully possible to involve yourself in healthy eating, even if you are on a very tight budget. This may require a little bit of extra time and effort to plan your meals, but you can make good and inexpensive food choice in order to provide your body with excellent nutrition.

First, it is important to plan for your healthy diet. When you go shopping, take a list with you of the healthy foods you need to purchase instead of walking up and down the aisles without a plan. When you have a shopping list, you are less likely to purchase random junk foods that you do not need, and so you’ll save money as well as be good to your health. Planning ahead with a list also allows you to look through store sales fliers in order to choose healthy foods that are offered at discount prices that week in particular. When you do go shopping, make sure that it is not on an empty stomach, when you will be craving fattening foods and will be more likely to overspend and waste money on unhealthy products.

You should also consider purchasing items in bulk. Many club stores have a membership fee, but you can save a lot of money if you have an adequate amount of freezer and pantry space. Look at the healthy foods you need, and then head to the bulk-food supply store in order to grab enough of the item for the next month. Remember to choose foods that are both healthy and the freeze readily.

Eat at home as much as possible. When you go out to eat or stop at a fast food restaurant on your way to and from work or during your lunch break, you will pay extra money for the convenience of someone else preparing the food. These foods are also usually high in calories and low in nutrients. Instead, calculate the money you would normally spend to eat out and then use it to buy more expensive healthy ingredients at the supermarket. You can make breakfast and dinner and also pack a lunch to carry to work or school.

Purchase foods that are in season. Fresh fruits and vegetables are usually very high in nutrients, but when you want strawberries in January, you’ll end up paying the extra price. Learn when fruits come into season in your climate and purchase them at those times of year. You can learn to can or otherwise preserve these fruits and vegetables if you want to have them all year round! Of course, heading to your local farmer’s market is a great way to purchase these items and save money. Healthy eating on a budget is all about being creative with the money you do have.

Can't seem to lose weight? Hate exercising and fad diets? Situations will arise that will force you to abandon your controlled home diet regimen and require you to dine outside the home. Dining out at your favorite fast food restaurant just became easier for those who may be on a diet or trying to eat healthier foods. I say easier in the sense that now you know which of your favorite meals are definite no-no's.

Dr Stephen G. Aldana and a group of nutritionists have color coded almost every menu item in every major fast food chain across North America. For complete lists of all the restaurant's menus, his book "The Stop & Go Fast Food Nutrition Guide" can be downloaded free of charge on the Internet.

Menu items are color coded in the following manner :

1. red - a definite no-no and should be avoided

2. yellow - foods that should be eaten with caution

3. green - healthy choices and can be eaten to your heart's content.

Trans-fats are the main culprit here. A menu item rates a red code if it contains more than 1 gram of trans-fats (this is an automatic red); contains processed meat; contains high levels of saturated fats, cholesterol, calories, or sodium; or more than the recommended serving of red meats.

Does this make you feel better or depress you even more? Don't toss in the towel just yet. In the final analysis of all the gathered data it was found that 53 per cent of the menu items were color coded either green or yellow. This means that over half of what is being served is OK for you to eat and it isn't all just salads either - a junior burger at McDonald's is actually coded green.

Eat as you would at home. Keep the portions small and avoid the appetizers ( high in trans-fats) and the desserts ( high in calories). Desserts are for special occasions and should be used as reward. If talked into either, order ones that the whole table can share. As a beverage choose either a diet soda, ice water, bottled water or a high energy or fruit drink.
You do not have to wreck your diet with dining out. Keep it under control and you will find that most of the foods you order, are going to be good for you and taste good too. In other words now you have the best of both worlds.

Can't seem to lose weight? Hate exercising and fad diets? When you head to the grocery store, it is easy to pick up lots of foods that are bad for our bodies without even realizing it. Shopping for a healthy diet can be difficult if you do not know how to do so, but with these tips, you should find it easier to do so the next time you head to the grocery store.

First, have a plan before you ever leave your house. Use the sales fliers to check out the great products that are on sale and take an inventory of your pantry and refrigerator to see what foods you need to purchase. Make a list of all of the foods you’ll need and stick to that list. Allow yourself one or two compulsory buys, but otherwise stay to the ingredients you’ll need to cook healthy meals for yourself and your family for the rest of the week. Before you leave, review your list and take out any unnecessary junk food.

Another great shopping tip to go along with making a list is to shop for a week at a time, or even longer if you have a large freezer. When you have to run to the grocery store every day, you are more likely to pick up junk food items every time you make a trip, and before you know it, your snack supply will be overflowing. You can shop for a week or two in advance by taking a day to plan meals for the week and packaging fresh product to be frozen.

When you’re shopping, it is also important to read the label. Try to avoid purchasing brand name items simply because they are brand name or store brand items simply because they are less expensive. Actually look at the product’s nutritional value and try to get the most nutrients for your money. When you eat higher quality foods, you’ll feel more full and, in turn, eat less, so this really is the best way to bargain shop.

If you are just shopping for yourself, you should also consider picking up a basket at the door instead of getting a shopping cart. The biggest problem with health and grocery shopping is grabbing junk food items that you don’t really need. If you have a small basket, you simply won’t have room for chocolate brownies and ice cream with your load of other foods, so you’ll pass them by.

Lastly, don’t forget to consider drinks into your healthy shopping plan. Most people don’t realize it, but sodas, punches, and beers can have many empty calories and are generally bad drink choices. Instead, look at the labels and choose diet drinks, water and sports drinks, or natural fruit juices, like apple juice. Signs are posted everywhere labeling food as natural, organic, and a number of other things—but what’s the difference, really? Learning what specific names mean can help you decide if you should shell out extra money on a product or is it simply a marketing ploy.

Natural is a term associated with a number of fruit and vegetable products. Typically, this is simply a marketing ploy to convince you to buy the product. After all, all fruits and vegetables are natural, right? Unless it’s a new kind of food that has been developed and processed, the product is natural. What you really want is organic. Organic foods are grown without chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

There are two main benefits to organic foods. First, you are helping the environment because those chemicals are not being introduced into nature. Secondly, you are avoiding ingesting chemicals and are therefore healthy more healthy foods. However, organic products are usually more expensive. If you’re on a budget, skip over organic fruits and vegetables that you can peel, like oranges and bananas. After all, once you’ve discarded the peel, you’ve also discarded the chemicals. Instead, opt for organic items like apples, where you eat the peel. No matter what you buy, however, make sure that you rinse off the food when you get home.

Another tricky label you will see is “no hormones.” This usually appears on milk or meat products and is false, since all animals naturally produce hormones. Hormones are what helps an animal (even a human) regulate body organs, have young, and otherwise function. All meat products have hormones. What the labels really mean is that no hormones were unnaturally given to the animal, which is sometimes done to increase milk production. Regardless of hormones, however, the milk and meat is safe for a person and not a violation of an animal’s rights.

Lastly, a label on eggs and meat can indicate if the animal was caged or penned. This does not make a difference in the quality or nutritional value of the meat, but is simply a matter of animal rights. These products may be a bit more expensive, but if you want to make humane choices, that is the way to go.

Reading the label and making healthy choices can sometimes be difficult, but learning what the different terms mean can help you make the best choices for your diet. They might mimic smoking,by giving the user their daily nicotine fix, but are they safe?
Chinese manufacturers have solved that problem by creating an electronic cigarette, which delivers nicotine in a cigarette-like package but without the tobacco and chemical additives that are linked to cancer and other health problems.
An e-cigarette looks remarkably like the real thing and even includes a red light at one end to mimic the burning embers of a cigarette.

It has a chamber for storing liquid nicotine, which is heated to a mist and absorbed by the lungs.

But while these products are slowly growing in popularity around the world, they are not approved for use as smoking-cessation aids such as nicotine gum and patches, and it is still unclear if the amount of nicotine they deliver is safe as little or no testing has been done to determine amounts.

"I think that things that help people to quit are very good, like approved products that help people to quit," Prof.

"I think that these particular devices are being marketed with the intention of keeping people smoking. I used to think that it was only for lazy people who didn't want to do their own writing. But as I learn more, I've come up with lots of great ways I can use PLR in my own business and for personal use..

If you don't know what I'm talking about, PLR is content that you get from the original author along with their permission to use it as your own. So you can get a great report, put your name on it and have your own product to sell or give away!

The first couple of products I created using PLR only took me about half an hour. There have been a few sales so far from them so that was definitely time well spent.

When searching for PLR content to use, I found there were a lot of different types of sites available. Some offered monthly memberships and others offered just one time purchases. So be sure to look around before you decide where to buy.

The site I found that was by far the best was PLRWholesaler. Not only do they have an unbelievable amount of content, but it's completely FREE. Most sites charge an arm and a leg for the amount of content that this guy is giving away.

And although I haven't been through everything yet, what I have read is very good quality. It's stuff you would actually want to use as your own.

Since it's free, I highly recommend that you check out PLRWholesaler and see if they have anything that you can use in your business or could use for a personal reference tool. There just may be an ebook or audio recording that you could quickly brand with your information and start selling to your list.

Check it out and let me know what you think...

PLRWholesaler.com

Good News for HP Owners at Office Depot

If you happen to own a HP printer it might be to your advantage to pay a visit to Office Depot.com this week. Basically you need to be able to stretch your dollar's value even further. This can be done with a little research and knowledge about the laws in your area and the various store policies and company advertising methods.

There's no reason why you should have to pay the store marked price when you can bargain with the customer representative especially at electronics stores and for bigger item purchases. People have been bargaining and negotiating for better prices for thousands of years. Why should the current period be different?

In this article, I'm going to show you a few ways and tips on saving money right now.

Research Product Prices

The best way to compare product prices is by using the Internet. There are countless websites that allow you to view and compare product pricing and savings. What I suggest is that you take advantage of and use these websites that are local to your area.

For example, Canadians may want to use RedFlagDeals.com. Using their search function, find the product that you are searching for and the prices at various stores in your area. Write down the store and the price. If the store is too far and not worth your gas or time or you don't want to order it online, check the pricing on the Internet at your favorite store where you usually shop at. If the price is more at your favorite store, you can advise their customer service about the lower price at their competitor. In most cases, they will match the price and give you 10% of the difference in the price.

In some cases, the customer service representative may not know about the store that you are talking about which is offering the better deal. Ask them to check the store's website. This is where your selling, bargaining skills come into play. You are now trying to sell the salesperson your better deal. It's very easy to do if you follow the steps that I have used and you are a little creative and have all your facts.

This approach involves a little bit of research but if you research the product carefully, you can save quite a bit of money.

Know Your Store's Policies

Sometimes stores have a policy that if the price on the shelf is lower then in the computer on check-out, you receive the product for free up to a maximum value of say $10. This happens a lot for items on sale. Sometimes the computer does not get updated in a timely fashion or the inputted price is missed and not entered. So the shelf price does not match the computer price.

Some stores tend to have difficulty in updating their systems correctly and in a timely manner for the new prices. Therefore it's a good idea to check store prices as you are shopping or check the flyer for sales and then check your grocery receipt. If the prices differ in your favor, you can mention it to the cashier or go back to the store the next time you are there with your proof. You will either get your product free or a full refund.

Sometimes there are stores that have in-stock guarantees like for inkjet cartridges and toners. If the product is not in stock, they will give you a coupon for say $10 off your next ink cartridge purchase. If they don't, email the company's head office and they'll make sure you get it!

In some places, such store polices can be the law. Therefore it's good to know and ask about a store's policy because it can work in your favor.

Products with Samples Attached

Many times companies attach samples of their other products or new products to those that you normally purchase. Sometimes it's worthwhile to purchase a few of these products to take advantage of this free sample offering.

Coupons or Bonus Offers

Coupons have been around for a very long time. Now more than ever, it makes sense to collect and redeem them. You can collect the coupons that come in the mail, in flyers or on coupon websites but these coupons you have to print off yourself. Given the high cost of ink for toners, if the coupon is not a high value coupon, then it's probably not worth your effort and cost.

There are also some products like cereals that I like to buy which contain coupons for bonus offers. I'm talking about if I buy a box of cereal, I can get a free movie or yoghurt coupon. These are relatively high value coupons worth collecting and redeeming. Have you ever received a really cheesy business card…and what did you think?? Business cards are the primary marketing collateral of any business. Therefore, you want your business card to possess the quality, clarity and message that best convey what your business stands for.

Within this article today on creating online business cards, we are going to look at a couple of different ways in which you can worked on creating online business cards. There are many different websites that offer the ability to create online business cards. Since competition is so fierce, you will have the opportunity to procure a great deal.

The first website which we'll look at when creating online business cards is www.overnightprints.com. This website seems to be very useful because it has a very simple interface and has many different features for you. You are able to upload a logo or print business cards off their website changing simple text and font. When you're deciding upon how you want to create online business cards, check to see how many you will actually want to print. Often you receive a very large price break if you print a greater number such as a thousand. The price at
www.overnightprints.com is $9.95 for 100 but the price is only $39.95 for 1000. Receiving a larger order helps your budget because you will not have to order new business cards for quite awhile.

The second website which we will look at when creating online business cards is http://www.iprint.com. This website offers a similar experience to what you would find with the first website printing company. You are able to upload logos as well as choose from what their design team has in stock. The best price that they have to offer is $15.99 for 250 cards. This site is very easy to use as well although it did seem slightly busy so keep your eyes open when looking for the business cards.

The final website which we'll profiled in this article on creating online business cards is http://gotprint.net/gotprint/welcome.do. This particular website actually offers the best deal of the three websites which we have profiled within this article, with costs running at $8.85 per 250 cards. Everything is similar to what you are able to do at the other two websites in which you can upload images, change text and proof the cards before actually buying. You should be able to do this at any website which you choose to buy business cards because if not, that particular competitor would be at a major competitive disadvantage.

When you are looking at creating online business cards, there are many different websites that you can use. Within this article, we looked at just three of the many different options that you have out there.

Trojan Horse Alert - Obama Acceptance Speech

Finally a warning that is for real. I receive so many hoax warnings but I checked this one out for myself on Urban Legends and this one is true, so scroll down and consider yourself forewarned.

This is confirmed on Snopes

THERE IS AN EMAIL WITH SUBJECT LINE OBAMA ACCEPTANCE SPEECH FLOATING AROUND WITH A TROJAN HORSE ATTACHMENT.

DO NOT OPEN FOR ANY REASON!!!

DELETE IMMEDIATELY. THE TROJAN STEALS ALL PASSWORDS AND USER IDS!!! Shopping can mean a visit to the grocery store for daily supplies or to a stylish boutique for that chic new dress you wanted for so long. Only the smart shopper knows where and how to find the best shopping deals. Shopping is not only about finding the things you need and paying for them and using them. You need to plan your shopping so as you could get the best shopping deals on the product of your choice and all available discounts and do all these without much effort.

In the modern world of gadgets and gizmos, shoppers also have the option of shopping online. You can avail a lot of advantages with online shopping. Best shopping deals are also available from various online shopping websites. There are a number of websites that offer products on sale for interested customers. All you need to do is find the website offering the particular product you need and buy it online. The payment is also done online in most cases with the help of credit cards. The products are delivered to your address within a short period of time. Some websites also have the option of payment after you have received your order by post.

Best shopping deals are available on a diverse range of products. All you need to do is know when and where to find them. Many sources of information are available that offer details about the best bargains available at a certain point of time. These include brochures and pamphlets, advertisements and word-of-mouth publicity. Smart shoppers do not cram their minds with all sorts of information. They are capable of streamlining the information into two categories, one that is needed and one that can be discarded. The availability of information is not much of a problem, what you need to know is how to use that information to get the best shopping deals.

Shopping can be an amazing experience if you know how to do it properly. You need some information before you start on your shopping spree. The first thing you need to do is to list all the things you are going to buy. A list of the items you make it easier to shop. Then you need to find a place where you could get all these items at one go. However, this much information is not sufficient. You need to know the place offering the best shopping deals so that you could save money while purchasing the product of your choice. Right information about the best bargains and discounts available are of great help for a shopper.

Websites also offer a number of discounts for online shoppers. You can get numerous best shopping deals from these websites. Some also offer discount coupons on purchase of specific goods. These coupons offer huge discounts on later purchases. This will help to make your online shop a safe and enjoyable process. You also need to make sure that if you use a credit or debit card to pay for your purchases you do not save any passwords or account numbers on a shared computer, as this may result in others being able to access the site in your name and commit fraud.

Whenever you place an order for items you should receive email confirmation of what you have ordered. You should make sure that you keep this safe, just in case there is a problem with delivery of the items or in case there is a fault with the items ordered. It is worth remembering that if you place an order online and there is a problem with the goods or delivery, you can take action, as you have the same rights as you would have if you had purchased the items in person.

You are probably better off using your credit card to make payments for products that you order online, as credit cards offer greater protection against problems or damage than other methods of payment as part of the Consumer Credit Act, which means that you have greater protection against a range of issues.

If you are ordering items from overseas during your online shop you should make enquiries with HM Customs and Excise with regards to whether you will have to pay additional duty and VAT on them, as some items are subject to inspection and these additional fees when they are imported into the country.

For those that are careful with their details and follow simple rules for safety and security, online shopping can be a great, convenience, and effective way of purchasing a wide range of different products and services.

Alisdair Cosgrove is a freelance writer specializing in personal finance. From the consumer's point of view, online vouchers are a great way to saving lots of money on everyday products or products or services you were going to purchase anyway.

Especially supermarket vouchers. Grocery shopping is a regular activity in any household. Having vouchers that can cut your grocery bill is a great help.

Where can I get these vouchers from? I hear you say. There are many websites that have the sole purpose of showcasing lots of retailers, on and offline that offer vouchers to be used for their products or services.

Another way of finding vouchers is via forums and blogs. Do a goggle search and experiment with words which relate to "saving money" or "spending less" or simply "forums and shopping vouchers". You get the idea. These places are communities of people who all have the same goal to save money or spend less. In these communities people will share website links of places where they have seen a voucher for a product or service. Keep in contact even become a member and share your findings to and you could save a lot of money for you will have many more eyes searching the net for all kinds of discount vouchers.

How do I use a voucher that is online?

Online vouchers can be used two ways. Both ways are very simple to do. So long as you have a computer and internet connection, which you should have already, for you are reading this article.

Some require you the user to print off the voucher (get a friend to print it for you if you do not have a printer, just email the link for the website and take it to a participating store. Others give a code that can be used at the retailer's website. There you the user enter's the code at the retailers online checkout.

J. Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet... etc...was stolen.. 20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened, hubby says 'I received your text asking about our Pin number and I replied a little while ago.'

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.

Moral of the lesson: Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad , Mom, etc..... And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back!!

Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.

Along with that if you have an entry called 'Home' with your actual home phone number it's not too hard to do a reverse lookup on the number to find the address. Now the robber has your home number, keys, AND address.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON! I never thought about THAT!

Perhaps Black Friday Shopping Should be Online Only

I am speechless re: the recent events which have occurred today. A shooting at a ToysRUs and a store employee trampled to death on Long Island at a WalMart.

What sort of mentality drives an ordinary group of people to turn into a mob for the sake of saving a few dollars for a large screen TV or the newest video game? It is a sad state of affairs that we have sunk to a new level of greed and insanity today.

Perhaps the time has come to cast aside this traditional shopping day at the mall and turn the Black Friday sales into an online only event. Oh no!!-you say - what about the poor people who do not have access to a computer? Let me say this - the mob in New York was not composed of the unfortunate few without online access but those who had carefully planned their " shopping excursion" with the aid of their home PC.

How would this work? Each individual store would post their sales items on their individual web sites where they could be reviewed by the public. At an appointed time the site would open for business - just like the store at the mall - and the stampede would be on - only this time with no one being trampled.

The online shopper after purchasing an item would be issued a voucher (printable at time of purchase) which could be brought into the store at a later date to be redeemed for the item (no shipping or handling costs). The stores would be happy as they have the shopper inside their store now perhaps to make an additional purchase. No mayhem. No deaths.

An idea only - not as much fun as a day out in the malls shopping but a solution to calm the mayhem which we have witnessed today.

PINK FRIDAY BEST SELLERS

TigerDirect.com, a leading retailer of consumer electronics and technology products, is changing Black Friday to "Pink Friday" in an effort to make the busiest shopping day of the holiday season their most charitable day as well.
