Hey there former followers and new comers alike! The One Pound blog is back! I have now decided to restart my efforts to become a millionaire with my hopeless money making scheme after a recent donation from an internet stranger!

A lot has happened to me since my last update, I am currently in my second year of University and have moved to the big city. With my new experiences and busy day to day life I now have a wealth of inspiration to blog about!

So I have now rounded up the current balance from where we left off all that time ago to the sweet sum of twenty pounds! So tell your friends, family, and spread the word - I'm back, and want your pounds!

Expect more poorly written updates from me soon!

Hey ho all! If any one still visiting this blog then apologies for not updating sooner. I could come up with a hundred reasons why i havnt got around updating this thing since last year but simple matter fact is i was perhaps too lazy, and lacked inspiration and motivation to continue with this ludicrous money making scheme. (However if you really want to donate your £'s then im not stopping you!)

A lots changed since last year, i am now employed again! sadly its for another supermarket but after 4 months of rejection and a very bleak job opportunity's else where for a inexperienced 19 year old i had no choice but to get my lazy arse back to stacking shelves, on the plus side its better money then my previous job (wouldnt do that crap again for any less dammit)and i have also decided to take the plunge back into education in September to further my 'art career' (ha.) so all is going swimmingly.

Perhaps ill get back to blogging soon, but dont hold your breath.

Week 7 - Wax and the BBC. Balance £16.50

Well its almost 12pm as i began writing this (and no doubt it will be Tuesday by the time i finish) so apologies all for the late update, Iv been walking around all day thinking to my self theres something i need to do but could for life of me think what. Then of course i realized it was Monday and i have an online money making scheme in action.

Now on my 7th week into this experiment to see if i can appeal to the generosity of a million strangers to donate me there spare change and iv reach the grand sum of £16.50, after receiving donations from two close friends (after locking them in a small room and threating them with bee's.) and £1 in ad revenue this last week.

If my calculations are correct , which they often aren't, at this current rate ill be a millionaire in 8196.72 years. This statistic is somewhat disheartening but i am not giving up on the ludicrous plot just yet, so come on people, get donating your spare change and make internet history!

*Occasional. as in when ever I'm bored.

Being an unemployed, generally pretty skint and a teen in his last year before becoming a young 20 something, means i don't have the funds or the means to do any thing particularly interesting and worth while with my wasted youth.

That means to fill in otherwise boring blog posts i have decided to write reviews on any thing i can lay my hands on around the house, mainly for my own entertainment but also perhaps for yours too.

This week i shall be reviewing Dax wave and groom, A.k.A. Dax Wax.

Dax is a hair styling wax, or more precisely a promade, I have been using for last few years to style my numerous hair styles and most recently my Mohawk. The Dax company proudly promotes its self as "Real Multi-Cultural Hair care" as seen on the website, Thanks Dax I wasnt aware other wax's weren't multi-cultrual, just in case i had any doubts about my hair styling products being racist i can now rest assured that the wax that holds my mo' in place is not prejudiced against my fellow hair styling enthusiasts no matter what ethnic background they may come from.

Dax Wave and groom, which from now on I will be referring to as just 'Dax' for simplicity sake is a very thick oily greasy wax like substance with a sweet coconuty smell that comes in a great value large tub that lasts for months. I find it ideal for styling and sticking up thick unruly hair like my own without my hair loosing its hold or flopping down later on which are usually problems for me with other gels and wax that are less thick, but for people with shorter and less thick hair perhaps other less thick gels and wax's are more suitable.

(Its greasy, thick, and all over my fingers.)

Best tip from me is to apply it straight after a shower, towel drying your hair and whiles its still damp, also use small amounts for best stuck up effect as too much will weigh your hair down and make it curl downwards and flatten.

(I find Dax is one of only a few products that keeps my hair standing up right)

(After all the shameless stereotypical myspace like posing shots my digital camera decided it rather commit electronic suicide (elctrocide?) then be used by me)

However! Once Dax is applied to your hair be prepared to have it stuck to your hands for a few hours and scalp for at least the next 5 days like some sort of hair herpes. The advantage of this is sometimes you'll wake up with your hair already done or need to use very little dax next time you do your hair! Showering and normal shampoo does very little to shift the thick oily substance from your hair, but being a former Art student this does not bother me personally but you more hygienic chaps, it may. If you really must shift Dax out of your hair theres Dax Shampoo available, for me this was just as useless as normal shampoo and did very little to wash it out of my hair. My best tip for removing Dax is to use sun flour oil, or any other sort of cooking oil, it will remove the Dax straight away, but leave you smelling of a chip pan if not followed up with normal shampoo. Also be careful not to spill oil in the shower as the combination of very slippery oil and water can lead to serious injury's as i unfortunately found out one fateful afternoon.

Also its interesting to note that Dax is made from Petrolatum and mineral oil, which i both believe are flammable meaning iv been potentially rubbing Coconut scented Napalm on my head for all these years and not even realized it.

So on closing Dax is ideal for any one that has thick heavy hair that refuses to style and stick up with normal gels, and also don't mind either there hair feeling greasy and clogged together for weeks at a time, or using there cooking oil for washing their hair in the mornings as well as a fry up.

I give Dax Wave and Groom 8 pounds out of 10, does a great job at styling and keeping hair styled all day. Sadly its a little hard to get out, however with the frustration i use to experience with other products, i can live with it.

Kiera is looking for local youths (Thats people from my home town Barry, for all you internationals readers) and young adults to interview and share banter about there experiences of growing up in Barry mainly focusing on the rife underage drinking and general 'anti-social' behavior that given us all 'fond' memory's of our little home town as well as express any of your views about the town and how you'd improve it/destroy it/what ever.

Week 6 - Art. - Balance £13.50

Ahoy there all! Its Monday and that means time for another update!
This week I haven't received any donations, however I've made £4.50 from advertisement revenue, also this week nothing to interesting has happened in terms of my life or my life related activities, apart from several trips to some local public houses.

(Me outside local pub. No donation money was, or ever will be spent on my alcohol bindges)

Speaking of pubs, On the job front, i have also recently applied to the local pub The College inn for bar work, so fingers crossed!

Arty stuff for sale

I've been drawing, painting, and generally an arty kinda guy since properly the first time my neurons connected and starting firing signals back and forth when i was nothing more then a barely developed fetus in my mothers womb.

Week 5 - Its all going swimmingly. - balance £9.00

First off thanks to Mr.Luke Mulligan, Jason Cannon and Laura Blackwell for there generous donations and helping me on my way to £1 million!

What I've been up to:
During this week as you can see above i have managed to get my digital camera working, so expect some more photos of me and donors, and other blog related photography in the near future!

Also this week I have been putting my otherwise pretty useless Art and Design qualifications to good use by brain storming ideas for promoting my blog and generating more site traffic and thus more income from Advertising revenue and, hopefully, donations. I have already attempted to acquire more traffic by starting a facebook group, and adding a Digg Button however if this crazy schemes going to make me any sort of money i need to get the word out past the boarders of my home town Barry. Any ideas and suggestions you can think of feel free to leave a comment on this post! And you guys can help out by joining and inviting your buddys to the FaceBook group!

Job Hunting, Part 2. The ongoing saga:

Since handing my notice in to Iceland Frozen foods ltd. many many weeks ago, i have since roamed the damp cold streets of Barry looking for further employment. In retrospect perhaps maybe i should of found other employment before leaving my previous 'sales assistant/minimum wage slave' position in the local supermarket. Vowing never to work in a supermarket again for the sake of my own sanity has since made it extremely difficult to find work in town where Morrisions and Tesco seem to employ nearly 90% of the local population, including nearly all my friends and family.

however recently i have applied to a few places around town including Game Station and Lloyds Pharmacy, unfortunately the feedback has been far from promising:
So if any of my fellow Barryians are reading this, and know of places looking for under qualified staff willing to work for peanuts whiles constantly having to deal with disgruntled customers that seem to have large un-lubricated, possibly splintered, wooden sticks firmly lodged up there backsides, let me know.

Week 4 - Going no where fast. Balance - still £4.00

Once again its time for a blog update! this weeks update shall be pretty short as, believe it or not iv pretty much done naff all this week and i have not even received one donation!

Lately I have been asked by a few people: "why should i give you a pound?" and my reply is hell, you don't have to give me any thing! This isn't any sort of scam and your not going to get ripped off, or have billions of spam email in your inbox, the only thing I'm asking for is your generosity in giving me, a one off donation, of an insignificant sum of money. If i could get another million people to also be generous and donate that same small amount, it change my life forever! yet the only you'd be missing is £1, and is that £1 really that important to you? your £1 is more important to me, or rather ALL you peoples £1's are important to me! And hey, if do make a million, i could pay you back your £1 off the interest i earn from it, if you sent me an email id be happy to!.

So once again people, this isn't a scam, or con, or anything like that, I'm not asking you for your bank details, or to donate me £1 with a £100 hidden charge, or anything of the sort! All I'm doing is asking you to change one poor post student teenagers life by donating your spare change, that extra £1 stuck in your bank account you cant withdraw, or thous couple of coppers and 10 or 5ps sitting in a jar or in bottom of your wallet gathering dust, it could all go towards something meaningful if you, and a million people just like you, just generously donated it to a complete stranger!

Or as my long time buddy Lewis Phillips puts it in a comment on my blog post a few weeks back:

"fikerty fik fac giv me a tic tac murfayyyyyy!!!!! feee feee feeee fiiii foooo fummmmm is a kind fellow , he needs his money 2 drink on his own day in day out hiding from work and others who r better that him …..JOKE thats not murf , just pay the man or il crush ur head in a vice n brake ur wind pipe wiv an axxxx!"
