Mayans have predicted that cataclysmic or transformative events will take place on Dec. 21, 2012. This date is the last date of the 5,125 year long cycle according to the Mayan Calender. Although a lot of theories have been put forward, none have convinced the mainstream scholarship. Mainstream scholars from Maya feel that the idea that the calendar ends, in some way, misrepresents Maya History. Mormons have also been in the news for having their own beliefs on these predictions and even within the Mormons, there are people who believe it and don’t.
It is believed that a list of 2 million names has been made by the Mormons. They are stored on 2.4 million microfilm rolls that are kept in climate controlled repository behind a door that weighs 14 tons. Nothing can destroy the repository, not even a nuclear explosion. The purpose of this list could be to use this during the Baptism of the Dead. This is a ceremony practiced by the Mormons which is believed to reunite the dead eternally. This brings together family members after death.
All these beliefs were started in the mind of a young man named Joseph Smith who prayed for answers. He got the answers in the form of visions. In short, he was guided to build the Covenant of God by the Spirit.
3 groups are mentioned in the Book of the Mormons. The Jeradites are the first group that lived from 2200 BC to 600 BC. A massive battle in Comorah killed the last Jeradite. As this happened, two more groups moved to the new land. The two new groups are called Nephites and Lamanites. Nephite was the group that believed in the Laws of Moses and Lamanites were the ones who didn’t. Nephites were eventually destroyed by the Lamanites.
Moroni is the last Nephite who appeared as a spirit to Joseph Smith. Mormon population can be found in the State of Utah. There are a few conspiracies surrounding this as well. Some believe there is an underground city being built that is large enough to sustain 10% of the population of the world. This is built to escape the apocalyptic events that are believed to happen on 2012. It seems that Mormons know something that the rest of the world doesn’t know about the events that will occur in 2012.
Some believe that when you read the Mormon teachings, they seem light years ahead of some other belief systems with respect to enlightenment, technology, scientific truth, etc. Whether this is true or not, only time will tell. As not many know of Mormons, a lot of mystery surrounds their beliefs and practices. The believers say that the teachings are quite simple and as you read more, you will achieve greater knowledge and understanding of its beliefs. Just exactly as computers outgrow old operating systems, humanity is now literally outgrowing the former limited expressions of life which have contained and suppressed the inner Divine Light‘s urge to grow, to know, and to go into more advanced stages of thought, feeling, emotion and spirituality.
Humanity 1.0 is going to be re-folded and re-made into humanity 2.0 in the next 20 to 30 years, and parts of the old programs just won’t make it into the new paradigm. Let go of fear and embrace the Spirit of Truth which can and will carry you through this experience in Grace.
Remember once more what it is to pray, to be grateful, to appreciate every waking and sleeping moment of life as it has been given to us to live. Rejoice. The end is not upon us, but the new beginning is.

Surely archeologists know of the multitude of concerned people who know enough of the truth and the ever-increasing difficulty in hiding the facts that are coming to light before the year 2012, so if they wanted to spread disinformation surely they would have benefited by releasing it earlier than waiting all the way until now.
        This 2012 brick is a wholly separate record by the ancient Mayans, mentioning the year 2012 concretely, and specifically, and was carved in stone solely for this reason. This is the single most important discovery regarding the ancient Mayan 2012 prophecies, and this brick which warns of the catastrophes to befall Earth in 2012 was made years after the Long Count Calendar, as a reinforcement to what they believed.

If you have not heard and most of you probably have, recently the phenomenon of the strange sounds has been sweeping the internet. The roar, moans and groans as some describe it are spine tingling frightening to hear. Videos from around the world have flooded Youtube along with several hoax. Many who watched the videos and many who personally expericed the phenomenon can not help but wonder and ponder of possible causes. Here is a video of a scientific explanation, explaining the sounds are coming from the Aurora Borealis causing electromagnetic noise within nearby enviromental antennas.

For some this explanation solves it for them, not for me though. The ancient Mayans had contact with alien visitors who left behind evidence of their existence, according to a new Mexican documentary. Sundance winner Juan Carlos Rulfo's Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond is currently in production for release next year to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar, reports the Wrap. Producer Raul Julia-Levy said the documentary-makers were working in cooperation with the Mexican government for what he said was "the good of mankind". He said the order to collaborate had come directly from the country's president, Álvaro Colom Caballeros.
"Mexico will release codices, artefacts and significant documents with evidence of Mayan and extraterrestrial contact, and all of their information will be corroborated by archaeologists," he said. "The Mexican government is not making this statement on their own – everything we say, we're going to back it up."
Caballeros himself was conspicuous by his absence from the statement released by Julia-Levy. So far, the minister of tourism for the Mexican state of Campeche, Luis Augusto García Rosado, appears to be the highest-ranking government official to go on record confirming the discovery of extraterrestrial life, but he's not holding anything back.
In a statement, Rosado spoke of contact "between the Mayans and extraterrestrials, supported by translations of certain codices, which the government has kept secure in underground vaults for some time". In a phone conversation with the Wrap, he also spoke of "landing pads in the jungle that are 3,000 years old".
The documentary is believed to focus on previously unexplored areas of a Mayan site at Calakmul, Mexico, as well as a number of sites in Guatemala, where officials are also backing the documentary.
"Guatemala, like Mexico, home to the ancient-yet-advanced Mayan civilisation … has also kept certain provocative archeological discoveries classified, and now believes that it is time to bring forth this information in the new documentary," Guatemala's minister of tourism, Guillermo Novielli Quezada, said in a statement.
The Mayan calendar ends on 21 December 2012, a fact which conspiracy theorists have used to predict imminent apocalypse. However, according to Mayanist scholars there is no evidence that the Mayans themselves expected cataclysmic events to occur once the calendar had reached its denouement. More likely, it would simply mark the beginning of another 5,125-year-long cycle.
