Review: XOVOXBOX

I was sent another VoxBox for free by Influenster, so here is my review

of all the products. I have been using them for about two weeks now and I can

definitely give you my thought of them.

Colgate Optic White Kit:

So, I got the toothbrush, whitening paste and toothpaste that are all from the

same Colgate collection. They claim to help whiten your teeth in just three days and

to tell you the truth, I still don't see a difference in the color of my teeth.

I have been using all three products and still no results. I brush my teeth twice a day and

I use the whitening pen only at night since I don't want

to overdo it with that. So, I am not really liking any of these products.

Tidepods:

I have been using these to wash my colored clothes and white clothes

and both sets have been coming out really clean with no

need for a second wash. I really like these because they are super easy to use.

Also much quicker so for those who really don't like doing the laundry, this is

a great product. The only downside is their price. They come in

different quantities, so prices may vary ($5-$80).

John Frieda:

I got there Beyond Smooth products. The shampoo, conditioner and smoothing cream.

They all have a nice fragrance, but they don't do much for my hair. I still

get poofy hair whenever I use this and my hair feels really dry if I don't

add my oil or suave cream. So, these products didn't do a thing but make my hair smell nice.

Skinfix:

I got these full size hand cream for really dry skin. It is their 'repair' cream. Pretty pricey

little product ($18). I think it does moisturize my hands but it doesn't

last that long. It will be back to really dry hands after a couple of hours. So,

for the price this hand cream is not worth the buy. Also it has no smell, so that for me

is another con.

Adore Me:

I also got a free lingerie set from the site Adoreme.com.

I had to sign up for their VIP Membership, which was a hassle to do. It is

a membership where you pay a flat fee every month for. I wasn't going to

pay that fee so I had to cancel my membership asap. I had to wait until my order arrived

to my house to do so, so that was a pain. Once the lingerie arrived, I was pretty amazed on the packaging and the product itself. It looked just like the one at the site. The only thing I would have

to say is that the material used for the lingerie wasn't the utmost quality. I think Victoria Secret has

better quality. Anyways the product looked nice and felt nice, so no complaints there.

Influenster: Frosty VoxBox

Hey guys!

I have a new influenster voxbox that came in the mail a couple of

weeks ago. Influenster sent me the box to review and so here is my review

for each product.

First I want to talk about:

McCormick Thyme

I don't ever use this item, but I know my dad sure does.

So, I just gave this to him. He usually adds this to his chickens

or other dishes he creates. It tastes just like any other

dried thyme.

EcoTools Hair Brush

I don't usually brush my hair with this type of brush, since my

hair is very fine, so I didn't try this at all.

I gave it to my little sister since she has thick and

unruly hair. She enjoys using it, but it isn't an item that

really wowed her.

Fruit Vines

This is a small snack size meal that is basically a

licorice snack. I don't care for licorice, so I have this one away.

They all enjoyed it, but it also wasn't a favorite from the family.

Boots No 7

They sent me a serum to 'Protect & Perfect' first signs

of aging. They didn't sent me the 'intense' serum, so that was

a plus. I don't have any wrinkles or anything like that, but I still wanted to try this.

It didn't change the look of my face, but I wasn't expecting anything to change.

Since it does says it helps prevent aging, so I guess it is working.

NYC Expert Last Lip Color

They sent me the shade in Sugar Plum. At first glance I would think it was

a brownish nudish shade, but once applied it look more pinkish to me.

I think it looks nice, but it isn't one of my favorite shades. Also, I didn't like the

finish of this lipstick. It was too shimmery for me.

Rimmel London

They sent me once again the Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner, so...

I already gave my review on this since my last voxbox. It is an okay eyeliner.

I just wish it was a bit thinner.

They also sent me a eye makeup remover by Rimmel London. I

normally don't use this sort of thing when getting rid of makeup, since

I like to keep my routines simple, so yeah.

I thought it did a fairly decent job, but not planning on purchasing it.

Celestial Seasonings

They sent me the *Holiday* Green Tea decaffeinated.

I haven't tried this since I don't drink tea much other than the Arizona

Green Tea, so I have no idea if it is any good or not.

Well, that us all they sent me in this box. I wasn't totally excited to start

using any product particularly this time, but I'm glad I got to try

different products that I never tried before. I will create a video sometime this week

showing closeups of each product and swatches, so stay tune!

Review: Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner

Hey guys!

Today I want to review a product that was sent to me by Jolse.

It is a Korean based product and it's called 'Aloe BHA Skin Toner'.

Now, this wasn't my first time using a toner, so I knew

a bit about toners before trying this one out.

So, far it has been 3 weeks since I first started using this. So,

here are my thoughts on this so far...

What's a toner?

Well toners are what will get rid of every last bit of dirt and grime

on your face. Hence, it will give you a clearer complexion and

a more even tone one. A great product to have for those who wear makeup.

These are used with a cotton cloth or your fingers. Just apply a small

amount on to your hands then gently rub it all around your face. This

doesn't need water or cloth drying. The toner should dry by itself and won't

leave any residue onto your skin.

First Impression:

When I opened this product I immediately went to smell it.

So, the scent is very faint, so that's really good! I can't

really explain the scent, since I can hardly smell anything from

this bottle. Also, I noticed that it dispenses the product from a dropper

like contraption.

Testing the Product Out:

So, I usually apply a toner after I wash my face with a cleanser

at night, so I only used this toner once a day for the

whole three weeks that it has been so far. There are two ways you

can apply a toner and that is with your fingers or some type of

cotton cloth. I used a cotton cloth because I don't like touching my face a lot.

So, after the very first day of using it, I noticed that it dried up quickly and

got rid of dirt that was on my face. Dirt that I didn't know was still left on

my face after I washed it with my regular cleanser! Although I didn't see any

changes on the blemishes I already had of my face on the first day of using

this, I did notice them fade away after three weeks of continuously using this.

I don't have any before and after pics of the results from using this product,

but I can assure you that my face has been kept a lot clearer since using this

product. There are still some blemishes on my face, but

overall I don't have as many as before.

Ingredients:

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water (58%), Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Salicylic Acid (0.5%), Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Polyglutamic Acid, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Cross Polymer

Conclusion:

Pros:

Dried up quickly

No strong scent

Helps clear face

Gets rid of leftover dirt and oils

Good Size (200ml)

Didn't break me out.

Cons:

Korea based product. It will be hard to buy this

directly from a shop, so the best way is to buy it online.

If you are looking for a great Korean toner to help your

skin out, then I suggest giving this one a try.

lucky ones. However, those who haven't heard of it stay tune because I am about to tell you

what Influenster is and how you can join too!

What is Influenster?

Influenster is a lot of things actually.

These free products come in a

package called a Voxbox. They will send you products

based on the things you like, so you know you are getting some

great products every time. Another great thing is that these products are

FULL SIZED products.

Review

Also, besides the free products you can check out the site to

find product and other kinds of reviews. Reviews from REAL people.

This has helped me so much in determining whether to buy a product

or not. Saved a lot just by using this tool.

In addition, you can also write a review for any product.

How Do I Join?

You can either join by having someone who is already a member send

you an email invitation to the site or you can go directly to the site.

When you go to www.influenster.com you will see a page similar to

the one you see above. I say 'similar' because Influenster likes to

update the site from time to time to keep things

interesting for the members.

On the top right corner you can select 'Sign Up'.

From there a screen will pop out just like the one below.

You can sign up by email or by using you Facebook

account to input all the information for you.

Once you add your email it will ask you to create a password

for your account. Next you can fill in your personal information

or you can do this at a later date.

Getting Started

Once you have registered, an account will be created for you from

there you can link all your social media accounts and increase you 'Impact

Score'.The higher the number in your impact score the more programs you will qualify for.

That means more Voxboxes for you!

Also, your account page will tell you if you have any Snaps to complete.

Snaps play a part in deciding which Voxbox will best fit you. Snaps mainly

involve you answering some questions. So, I highly suggest for you to keep an

eye out for any Snaps that need your input.

Account

The other deciding factor are your badges, Badges are, well, badges. They

are virtual badges that can be obtained by clicking on the button called

'Unlock Badges'.

Badges

You can unlock as many badges as you want. There are two

types of badges: Expert and Lifestyle. These deal with people's interests.

There is a badge for just about anyone so you

will definitely be able to find some that best fit you.

Campaigns

Now, let me guess, you are wondering if you've been qualified to

receive a voxbox. Well, there are two ways you can find out.

One Way:

Below Snaps you will see something called "Campaigns".

This is where you can find out if you have been

qualified to any Voxbox.

Second:

Check your email. Influesnter is always quick to send out those

emails to those members who have just qualified for a voxbox.

The Influenster App

Lastly, if you are like me and are mostly on your smartphone when surfing

the internet. Well, Influenster just created an app where you can

check out the site through your phone! It has all the

cool tools that the main site has, but made to view on your mobile.

Influenster: Caliente VoxBox

Hey guys!

I just wanted to share my latest voxbox. I got a total of 5 full size items from

Influenster. This was sent to me free of charge. The items I got were:

Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Ultra SPF 30 Lotion
KISS Gel Fantasy
Rice Krispies Treats Blasted S'mores
Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment
Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid

I have tried the Rice Krispie treat already and it was pretty good, but it wasn't enough

for me. Even as a snack choice it wouldn't be the best option. The rest of the products I haven't full tried

yet. I am most excited to try the Paula's Choice product, since I am

constantly trying to look for the one skin care product that will help get

rid of my blemishes. Well, that's basically all I can say about these products. I am just so happy

for receiving all these products for free. This is truly one of the best sites out there.

I can't believe it, but it is true. If I were you and I had a couple of sds

to spend, I would spend them here.

They have some great colors and it is not just all about the brand.

The eye shadows have a different brush, and yes, they do apply

differently. Some say they are much harder to work with and some

say they are easier. Either way I RECOMMEND buying from this shop. I don't

think I ever recommended anything before, so this is my first.
