This tiny spider was literally, hanging around in a freezer when I discovered him, I hooked him out by the silky strand he was dangling from and popped him on the freezer lid for a couple of shots. He was rather slow-moving and sluggish initially (and who could blame him!), but quickly regained his senses and scuttled away.

Daddy Long Legs (Family Tipulidae) resting on a windowpane – also identified as grandaddy long legs, crane fly or skeeter eater (despite the fact that adults feed exclusively on nectar and never on skeeters).

I love the way the raindrops on the glass refract the crane fly’s reflected body parts, distorting sections of his limbs. (Wish the windows had been a tad less streaky though, lol).
