Whats good 54 Reality Show fam? Well, the ones that are still out there. Just because we haven't been blogging doesn't mean we haven't been working. With the craziness that was SXSW last month, and dropping our recent single Labor ft. Supastition it's been business as usual. The homie Clemits invited us to rock up in Ft. Worth with some dope talent.

Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def partners with the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble to perform Fela Kuti's Water No Get Enemy, and Mos drops his verses form New World Water. That's right, the Mighty Mos Def will be live in Austin at Emo's East next week on the 30th thanks to the fam Proper Entertainment. Yassin Bey really helped to bolster the whole underground movement on the late 90's with early Rawkus releases, Black Star, and his own albums. We'll have blessing to rock the stage that night with some of our favorite compatriots Bavu Blakes, Riders Against The Storm, and Kydd. Make sure you're there to witness it live.

Usually what I do when we have a show like this, I just post the flyer and a video hoping folks check it out. What I'm going to do is post a video everyday from either Yasiin Bey or one of the openers to get you ready for such a magical evening. Now, I could post one of his many amazing videos, and I'm sure I will, but I'm going to start it off with this behind-the-scenes video of Yasiin meeting Mannie Fresh. The song they end up working on sounds like its going to be dope, so check it out:

AC3 2012 Day 1 Recap

The above picture pretty much sums up what the majority of Day 1 of A3C was like, a touch of rapping sprinkled on top of a 50 pound promo roast. In one day I got more cd's, flyers, stickers, etc than from a whole week of SXSW. It amazes me that people have so much promotional stuff to pass out for FREE, but it's good to see folks out there networking and grinding.

As far as performances, TEXAS WAS MOS DEF IN THE BUILDING. Lil Keke, The LOEG'z, Propain, Doughbeezy, and more showed up and showed out at the Texas Stage presented by the homie Matt Sonzala. Earlier Sha Stimuli and The Dopplegangaz were just a few of the highlights. Day 1 was fun and a good prep for the rest of the weekend which will be turn't up to massive levels. New Videos from Clemits, Stat-1, and The TrapHouse

Cen-Tex hip-hop artist are constantly dropping new material. Since I love videos, I'm going to showcase a few new ones you might want to give some run.

Clemits just dropped his newest video shot by Dave Wilson who has done videos for a who's who of underground acts. Word is that Clemits is in talks with DVZN Media/HotBox254 for his next one. Till we get some more details check this one out, and leave a note below.

Grind Life Films is back with new visuals from Die Slo rhyme slinger Stat-1. "Proof" is the title track from his upcoming album produced by Cutta Muzik, better get you some and check it out.

This last one is not a music video, but the best new sitcom to come along. From the same guys who brought you the internet smash "Fat Albert In the Hood" comes the hilarious tomfoolary of "The Traphouse." I could really get into explaining it, but words don't do it justice. Hell, the intro song alone is probably the greatest piece of music I've heard recently. Check it out for real.

Earlier this week we released the video for the song "My Life" off of our EP BRB...(which drops August 28th on www.SlapRapz.com) I've been doing videos for years now, but this process was the most I'VE ever put into one 5 minute piece of work. Honestly though, what made this whole thing special were the plairs involved that helped make it the epic magnum opus that it is.

A few years ago we introduced a character in our "Pay Us No Mind" video called the HATER played by the homie Gargameljermel of Hotbox254 Productions. The irony is that he is indeed one of our biggest supporters and colleagues in our various endeavors. When I told him he was basically going to get his ass kicked in a video he didn't even flinch, that's real thugged out living right there.

The two antagonist in this "evening gone wrong" depiction were played by the brothers (and not cool hip-hop jive talky brothas, REAL BROTHERS) CientifiQ, and J.C. I really shouldn't have to introduce Q, but for the slow ones or folks new to Crew54, he's the producer behind SlapRapz. His brother, J.C., is just just that dude. I'm grateful to them for putting up with shoots, reshoots, and everything we went thru to get this done.

I gotta give a special shout to Miss B for making special cameo as the girl who throws drink on me. If you watch the video and follow the story it kinda covers up a mistake I made during shooting. You can see more of her (and I mean more) in a special Crew54 commercial we shot earlier this year.

Featured here I have the behind the scenes pieces of this puzzle that really steal the show. Up top is the amazingly talented Carter Arrington. We've watched him play around ATX with some of our favorite bands, with a soul that is untouchable. He layed down a guitar solo that I personally can listen to above all the raps. Then we have the super producer himself s.killz. We came to this man wanting to do a project with a different sound and he knocked it out of the park. Gotta luh dat.

Not picture here is Miss Melli Melz, who I also want to thank for allowing us to come up in her crib and be in the video without any real warning. She held it down like a G. Now, go watch the video again.

Wow, it feels a little weird to be back in this special corner of the world, but it's ya boy Dookie V a.k.a. nasty spectacles a.k.a....yeah that's enough. I'm here to reintroduce y'all to the work that you may or may not have seen that DVZN Media & Hotbox 254 Productions have unleashed on the world.

Pictured up top is the young homie R.G. Money (Happy Born Day, respect). We did his first video a few months back, and this time Gargamel went in on his new hit "The Ovation." This joint is pretty hype, check it out and show the folks some love.

I've made more than a few videos, but one of the first that I really felt like a director was the Mojoe - Strange Revival opus that came together so magically. The poet of the group, Easy Lee has joined up with Mexican StepGrandfather to form Third Root and create a powerful album dealing with the "unity and healing of black and brown communities.) They asked me to be apart of photoshoot that we ended up turning into the video for "Front Line" off the album Stand For Something.

This last one has been in the works for a while and I'm glad to finally see it to completion. ATX veterans Mirage512 and Global74 tag teamed on a few tracks as "The Orijinals" and got at me to bring them some visuals. Shout out to G-Christ for the guest appearance, and make sure you stay away from them dudes with the "Downtown Talk."
