Well, the time came and we did it. She's officially register for preschool two days a week, from 12:00-2:30pm. I'm actually excited for her! It's another milestone to be thankful for. She's an advanced little girl, who is going to fully benefit fom preschool. I can't wait to see what she makes in art, attended her holiday parties and travel with her on field trips! It will be a change but one I will imbrace. We had a fabulous Christmas in Nebraska with my extended family! Santa was good to us all! Claire loved Christmas, she took an hour and a half to open all of her presents. She would open one and have to take it out of the box immediately. This year we got to celebrate Christmas 3 times! We are truly blessed with some many wonderful people in our lives!<br /> <br /> Finally, Chicago is "enjoying" our first couple of true snow falls of the year! Claire is LOVING the snow! Every morning when she sees we got more new snow, she ask to stick her bare toes in the snow! She laughs her very fake silly laugh and says, burrrr cold snow!"<br /> <br /> Claire is an amazing 2 1/2 year old. She amazes me every day with her actions and her words! Her vocab/ sentence structure is great! She is a regular talking machine and literally she doesn't stop talking or singing some of her favorite songs until she falls asleep at night! She's awesome and I simply love her to pieces!!<br /> <br /> I hope everyone has a great Thursday! I LOVE them and we try to do something family orientate every other weekend. I am so thankful that we have a lot to do in our area from expensive to free. Last weekend, we went hiking at one of our favorite places. The were millions of leaves on the ground, the smell of fall was very prevalent and we were together, just the three of us. I really enjoy our "alone" family time together. Although I only have one living grandma "nana" left, I had the honor to know all of my grandparents and 3 great grandparents. My grandparents were amazing. I miss them every single day. I missed them the moment I was pronounced, husband and wife and I missed them even more July, 10th 2009 - the day I became a mom. I am so thankful Claire has 4 great, caring, loving grandparents that would do anything for her at any time! She is truly blessed to live so close to both sets. Although my grandparents didn't get to hold Claire, I always remember something I heard when I was pregnant and sad that I didn't have all my grandparents to share in this special moment. Someone said, "Do not worry or be sad that your grandparents aren't there to hold your new born baby along side you. Know in your heart that they were the first ones to hold your baby, they held your baby before you!"<br /> I truly believe that! I know that my Grandma Jean, Grandpa Andy and Papa Lowell all got their snuggle time with Bug, they checked her over they held her in their arms until July 10th 2009 at 9:39am occurred and then they sent her to me! I know now that my grandparents are our guardian angels and let me tell you, they are probably the best guardian angels in Heaven!<br /> <br /> #13- I am thankful for: Technology. Sometimes I wounder what life would be like with nothing, no cell phones, pagers, emails or video games. I think it would bring us back to a time when people focused on each other but today in 2011 we couldn't survive with out technology. Our government, banks and lively hood thieve on technology! Although technology annoys me a lot sometime, it's an amazing, ever change thing!<br /> <br /> #14- I am thankful for: Cameras. I love photography, it's so much fun! I love taking pictures of Claire! I am so one of those people that believe in printing out prints! I have two photo albums filled with Claire's first 2 years of life and now in a couple months I will be making a 3rd. I feel that is important to have something physical to hold on to, to look at and cherish through out the years! That's right, it was the best thing (in the food world) ever invented. It's amazing when you have a bad day or if you have PMS. It's good eating it plain or mixing into things! We have a nice relaxing weekend planned. We are having a play-date get together tonight with our friends. Claire is super excited to see her buddy, Micah. She kept saying all day yesterday, " Micah morrow!?" One of our friends birthday is tomorrow and we might head downtown Chicago to celebrate with them.&nbsp; Today is thankfully a little warmer then yesterday. It was weird to see the first snow flurries of the year. Everyone was so excited but truthfully, I am just not ready. I love fall too much to be anxiously anticipating the 1st real snow fall of the season (which is suppose to be worse for the Chicago land area then last year, yay!). Tomorrow is suppose to be almost 60 (fingers crossed) they are right! It was a super cute play, one that she could understand: "Seussical the musical"! It was all about Dr. Seuss. Claire is a huge "Horton Hears a Who" and "Cat in the Hat" fan so we knew she would love this. It actually kept our active two year old's attention for the majority of the play. In intermission happened, she was upset! She said, "No more Cat in the Hat? Please more!" We explained that he need a little break but he would be right back. She said, "okay" and went on to something else. She is in full swing of being two. My marriage is wonderful. Eric and I of course have our moments (what couples don't who have been together has long as us). There are other things that keep my life on a roller coaster ride and no some are not great, some are just plain sad but life does go on. Thank goodness for my baby, she can make me laugh within a second of being sad or down. She is my cheer team. She's amazing, even when she's driving me up a wall and even on the days when she "lost her ears". She makes me smile. When I'm sad, she knows. She knows and she comes to make me feel better. I love her. I love my life. I just wish the roller coaster ride would stop for a while and I can get off. Life, we live it good or bad. I love fall! Last Sunday we went to our favorite apple orchard/pumpkin patch - County Line Orchard. Love it (and their amazingly delicious pumpkin donuts)! Claire had a great time. She loved picking the apples off the trees. She got to pick apples, pick pumpkins, have lunch, cider and donuts, play in the kids area and see animals - she's been talking about this day ever since! It's so cute to me what she remembers from our family outings.
