Is she the coffee brand that she drinks???

In the process of doing some research for this article I posted a status update on my FaceBook page which stated, "You can tell a lot about a woman by the brand coffee she drinks. If she comprises taste, what else will she compromise?" The response was somewhat defensive by my female friends and rightfully so. I didn't clarify what I really meant. The real intentions of the status update was more about the compromise of "taste" in a woman's choice of a mate and not really about "coffee".

You see in my 2 years as a traditional entertainment blogger I have often experimented with several pieces on relationships that have assisted in growing my female base. I have gained quite a reputation for "shock value" with my work surrounding topics on relationships, Love, Lifestyle, controversial infidelity, and especially SEX! In my never ending quest to earn the badge as "Sheriff of Shock", I want you to know that I only intend to entertain and never to offend. With those ground rules in place, I think it's time that we proceed.

In my brief research on the coffee bean I discovered that there are two types of commercial beans, the robusta and arabica. Of the two beans the robusta bean packs more of a caffeine punch per bean than it's cousin the arabica. I also found out that the way the beans are roasted also determines the potency of the caffeine content per serving. Roasting is also a distinguishing factor in the caffeine. The darker the roast, the less caffeine a brewed cup will have. Lastly, the brewing process adds to the punch of caffeine per serving as well. a regular brewing will naturally have less caffeine per ounce than an espresso.

Ok DG, I know you're asking yourself what does all of this have to do with a woman's choice of a mate? Well as a self proclaimed honorary doctor in women studies (100+ relationships under my belt, easily. Lol) I felt it was time to connect the strength of the caffeine in the coffee of choice and the strength of the mate chosen by this same woman. You see, much like the caffeine in the coffee adds the level of "boost" desired by the female consumer to be productive throughout her day, so should her mate of choice. In my personal opinion, I have witnessed woman enter the coffee house I frequent and order a conservative cup of joe where as others add a shot or two of espresso. The thought then hit me, if the coffees being ordered were likened to a relationship, which one would add more support to the woman entering the stressful workforce?

Much like the caffeine found in the robusta coffee bean mentioned earlier, so do you have men who bring strength and support to the relationship. This type of man, we will call "Man A." for identification purposes. Man A. is the type of man who will bring a pie to the table as opposed to dividing an existing pie. He is financially stable, confident, and well equipped with the tools necessary to support his woman. This man is often physically fit, highly educated, refined, cultured, & well traveled. This type of conditioning can be likened to the roasting and brewing process of the coffee beans mentioned earlier.

On the other hand we have "Man B" much like the arabica coffee bean, overall weaker in strength and ability to motivate his female mate. Man B tends to divide the existing pie rather than bringing a pie to the table. His process is often a process of "cutting corners" and his end result is a lower quality production. Man B can be found in more places than Man A, and is often chosen simply for convenience purposes. Man B is often unrefined, uncultured, uneducated, & has rarely left his immediate environment. Again, this type of conditioning can be likened to the roasting and brewing process of the coffee beans mentioned earlier.

In closing, the choice of coffee much like that of a mate seems quite simple but can be more complex without getting to know what you allow to enter your body. Please do your do-diligence to make an educated and informed decision about the strength of the mate and what he brings to the table.

It all started while sitting at my kitchen table in November '09 listening to a sample of @zurideveraux 's 'Mile High Club that was sent to me from @DGPRinc 's own @PIERREdgprinc . I can remember it like it was yesterday, I was sipping my favorite Earl Grey tea and blogging when my inbox lit up with a remix record from Pierre. The remix record was a result of an assignment I gave in order to assess his production skills. Now I'll admit, when he said he made "beats" I totally underestimated his skills simply because everyone says they make "beats". So I quickly opened the E-mail and clicked the play button and was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY!!! What was this perfect blend of Sweet Melodic chord progressions that made your senses dance but also on the same track you had Banging Hard drum tracks and Grunge Synthesizers that made you wanna have "Hardcore" SEX on the dance floor {Whew I got that out}??? Well as I started to try to explain the concept to my graphic designer @MarkustheArtist in order to start the marketing, I said "Well it's kind of like Candyland the board game with sweet ginger bread men and gum drops meets Gothic images like bats, blood, & chicks with black fingernail polish, fishnet stockings & Biker Boots. You feel me...???" There was a looooong pause, then @MarkustheArtist said "SICK.....!!!" At that very moment, The Soundtrack of the Year 2010 was born!

Back to the future. The day was crazy hectic trying to make sure everything was in order for the party. I had RSVP E-mails, text, calls all coming in all while traveling from Atlanta to Macon {my hometown} and back. I had a 12:30 pm appointment with my barber/spiritual pimp adviser, Hip Hop author and barber @JeromeEnders . Jerome hooked up my "Girl get off on your own" Al B. Sure signature cut then it was on to the liquor store for some wine and Golden Grain for the party, that's right I said Golden Grain. It's one of my main ingredients in my World Famous "DG Hooch" aka "Spanky Johnson". This drink will be the topic of discussion later in this piece.

Fast forward. The traffic was extremely crazy that night due to LA Lakers being in town playing the Atlanta Hawks therefore I was running behind. City of Ink is on Walker Street which is not far from Phillips Arena. I was being trailed by my recording artist @BishopCity10 . We made it through the traffic and on to the tattoo parlor. As we arrived, I could remember having a giddy feeling almost like that same feeling you have on the first day of school not really knowing who you'll meet. We entered the building only to see a handful of patrons who were there for tattoos.

My DJ @Lmarrthestar was already set up and testing out the levels. I brought him two of the #CANDYLANDGothica CDs so he could spin later on during the party. @DGPRinc 's own @DCYanni was in the house coordinating the event which gave me a certain calm an eased my anxiety. She worked with our fabulous liquor sponsor and good friend @OMGoldie setting up the wet bar and CD arrangements. Bishop City and I made a quick run to the hood convenient store for ice and cups. Upon our arrival back the tattoo parlor, we were greeted by more beautiful faces. I was at complete ease now knowing all of our hard work had paid off. At this point the wine and the world famous "DG Hooch" aka "Spanky Johnson" started to flow which took the party to the next level. I introduced my drink to @indakno and his first words were, "What the F is this...is this Gin???" Lmao.

Now anyone that knows me knows that I usually keep my alcohol consumption to a minimum {wink} at my release parties due to the fact I have to explain the product and the concept at the end of the night before the record is demonstrated, but...after I took a swig of my own "DG Hooch" aka "Spanky Johnson" I was taken back to my college days in Savannah {SCAD} when life was easy and free!!!

The atmosphere was filled with an array of music an entertainment's finest and not to mention some of the most down to earth folks you'll ever want to meet. At the nights end I was hoping I didn't slur when I grabbed the microphone and gave my speech about the project. The night ended on a High note with all of my guest giving positive and encouraging feedback on the project. I would like to extend a Special Thank You to every who ventured out and experience this wonderful project and I encourage you to spread the word through all of your Social Media facets.

Who the Hell is Bishop City???
I've been attempting to answer this complex question since the day we met at an @idomusic event on the rooftop of an Atlanta nightclub. This youthful spirit commanded attention that late Summer night among a crowd of many industry taste makers. I would describe this young man as swagger rich, yet starving for music industry knowledge and understanding. I gave him my contact information that night and expressed my interest in managing his talents, and shortly afterwords a journey towards music industry dominance begin. The DG & BC show!

Born Anthony Dajedi Williams 21 years ago in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois homed his skills in local school talents shows. When asked where the name Bishop City came from he stated, "I came up with the name Bishop because people were always telling me I look like Tupac Shakur growing up. I mean it never fails even to this day people come up to me asking me am I his son or close cousin. After a while they started to call me Bishop because in the movie 'Juice' his name was Bishop." he also added, "City came when I was in college 06-07 and people were saying the stage name Bishop was just to plain and it needed some pop, some jazzing up if you will. That's when I came up with City to basically say I am my own city and I got the ones I rep behind me as well."

Bishop's drive and self motivation sets him apart from the vast crowd of young American Hip Hoppers. When asked to describe himself, he said, "I would define myself as a beautiful mind that makes beautiful music. I write from the heart so when you hear it you can feel the pain and suffering in my life in the music. I'm a lyricist with the ability to make songs that we all can enjoy. What sets me apart is that I'm fully open to my audience there is nothing I wont talk about to my fans. Whatever you want to know about me there is a song about it I'm sure. My life is a open book, that I just want you to read."

Bishop was asked about his move from Chicago to Atlanta and the reasoning behind it, he stated, "I love Chicago for it is the city that taught me everything I know about life. But the move to the A is a business decision. I got here and fell in love with the people. Where I'm from you don't speak to people you don't know down here everyone speaks, that alone was so different for me. Then its how the artist that make it always come back to the "A" to help. No One from Chicago that makes it comes back. No talent showcases, No open Mics hosted by Chi-Town stars, nothing. So the City is at a stand still. But I plan on changing that."

From being in studio with Bishop, I am privileged to know his idiosyncrasies, but I ask him what were the 5 things he MUST have in every studio session. He states,
"First is Water (lol). Gotta have water because u need to stay filled with fluids. Second a male and a female singer. You never know when you're gonna need them. Third is a good ear, you need to bring someone who wont lie to you or just say yes because he's your friend. If its wack its wack, lying wont help. Fourth is Energy. No one wants a dead song because you can most definitely hear it when you listen. Last but not least I bring Life with me. I don't forget where I'm from, where I am, and where I'm going that's what my music is all about."

Who would you like to collaborate with on record?
"I would like to collab with Mary J Blige just because of how much she means to me and my life. Her music let me know that others go through the same thing I do. Now that I think about it, we kinda make the same music accept she sings and I rap. I'd like to work with Kid Cudi as well. I believe our creativity would make a "sick" record. Lupe Fiasco just to see if our lyrics are on the same track. It would be like clash of the titans. And lastly T.I. for the energy that him and I would bring to a record. That would make an instant classic."

What's your thoughts on the current state of Hip
Hop? "I personally like the state of Hip Hop. Everyone is so mad at the Soulja Boys and artist like that. But if you look at it artist back in the day like Big Daddy Kane, Rob Base, and Heavy D use to dance in there songs to. I mean Soulja Boy makes records for the club. Without him, I think clubs would be dead honestly. I know when I hear his music I'm running to the floor along with the rest of the club (lol)."

Who's your personal Top Ten lyricist in Hip Hop?
"This is not in any particular order so don't hate me. Biggie, Pac, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, T.I., Outkast, Kanye West, Common."

In closing Bishop was asked, what advice he would give to a newcomer trying to find their way in the music industry? He states, "Stay positive and have patience. If they don't have patience, I would tell them to just quit now it wont work (lol). You're not gonna record a record tonight and have a million dollars in the morning, it just doesn't happen like that. Remember nothing that comes quick is worth keeping." :)

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON - A night at the movies with my kids

Tonight started with a simple trip to the movies with my sons Harlem and Denim to kick off the early celebration for Harlem's 6 th Birthday. I haven't been to the movies with my kids since we saw Avatar back in December therefore I was looking forward to it. We chose the film 'HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON' which I highly recommend to all parents. This movie was about an eleven year old Viking boy by the name of Hiccup who was underestimated by his father (Viking chief) as well as his peers. His father wanted nothing more for his son but for him to be a Dragon slayer just like him. The Viking town of Berk's tradition of Dragon slaying was later put to rest after this young boy befriends one of the most dreaded dragons he later names Toothless. Together young Hiccup and Toothless lead the charge towards an amazing ending you and your children won't want to miss.

As a father of 3, this movie reiterated how important a parent (or role model) is to inspiring our youth towards greatness. Like Hiccup's father, at times we may underestimate the confidence of a child and how important it is to nurture it at an early age. After seeing this movie, I challenge all parents to encourage, support, and nurture the dreams and aspirations of our children even if they go against what we would like for them. Let's make it a point to talk to our children often about their dreams and do our part to nurture them. Please remember that hearing the words, "I'm proud of you" can take a child a long way.

"My name is Lola Maxwell and I'm from Southeast DC..."

If my favorite film director Spike Lee was to shoot 'She Gotta Have it Pt. 2' it would be filmed in South East Washington DC instead of Brooklyn New York. The leading lady in this new film would be none other than Southeast DC born Jillian Napper, aka Lola Maxwell. Much like Nola the character in the first film, Lola our new character would be young, sexually-independent, and liberal-minded, yet in this film she'd actually fall for one man. This man would be named Hip Hop.

I can remember being introduced to this phenomenal talent by her publicist Imani Pope via twitter and I knew at that very moment I wanted to work with her. Her images reminded me of my Diana Ross vinyl cover in my closet. I was captivated and desired to know much more about her. I googled her name and was stunned of her intensive catalogue at the youthful age of 21. Her most recent project 'BASIK EDUKATION' is an instant classic. Lola shows artist how to make a re-cord (saying in a British accent).
The different textures of sounds are very reminiscent of an early Lauren Hill. I especially enjoyed the more edgier rock tracks on the project. This wasn't your traditional Hip Hop femcee with nerd glasses and a scarf, you know the type that claims she's different because she had an amateur guitarist riff on a record. Lola pics tracks like a tenured A&R and uses her vocals like an illustrious instrument.
Another quality about this recording artist is that she's a true soloist much like Rakim and Nas were on there first projects. She did not drown out her talent with tons of local features, nor did she play the political games that most artist play by featuring artist (with less talent) just so they could potentially advance their own careers. These qualities will set her on her own plateau in this crowded industry. I think we're witnessing the future of not just Hip Hop music but music as a whole. I'm a fan for life of this young lady "Who Gotta Have it'. Lola Maxwell.

Here's my interview with Lola. I hope you fall in love with this artist's music and brand and go out and suggest her to 10 friends and co-workers. Ciao.
1. How did you come up with the name Lola Maxwell?

"I saw the name Lola on some random website while I was doing some research for a paper and it stayed in my mind. changed my name on facebook to lola davenport, then lola maxwell. lola maxwell rolled off the tongue better so i stuck with it."

2. How would you define your style and what sets you apart from other recording artist?

"My style varies, that's what sets me apart from other artists. i don't stick with just one way of doing things. even though i experiment with different sounds i still hold onto the essence of real, unadulterated hip hop and of course lyricism. i typically don't "rap with the times" because i choose not to conform. i write stories, relive past experiences, and at times create illusions. i just do whatever comes naturally. i don't put on a front or show, or put up a gimmick."

3. How would you describe the music & entertainment scene in the DMV?

"The music scene in the dmv is bigger than i thought. there are so many artists in such a little space. i love it. i wish the hip hop music scene was shown more love though."

5. As a female in the music industry, do you think it's necessary to use a SEX to sell?

"Its always expected. i recently did a set at Hogate's in DC for an all white party, somebody asked me if the outfit i had on (a simple white off-the-shoulder mini dress and some stilettos) was my typical "show" outfit. i said no because sometimes i want to be glamorous and other times i want to be eclectic or eccentric... I'll always have on heels, though. the person proceeded to say "it should be". i caught offense, of course. but you can't expect much nowadays. i don't think its necessary to use to sex to sell. if you don't have the talent just simply sit your ass down and let the real artists get the opportunity to shine."

6. Who would you like to collaborate with that's already in the music industry and why?

"I would like to collaborate with lupe fiasco, lauryn hill, mos def, estelle, erykah badu, q-tip, common, outkast, gnarls barkley, and theophilus london because they are all amazing artists. i feel like i would make straight hits and classics with all of them and build a good relationship as well."

7. What;s your perspective of the Hip Hop genre today?

"Its so watered down compared to what it used to be. i feel like majority of artists out here are just doing it for the money and not for the love of the art form. i heard marques houston on the radio the other day say "i don't make music to make a living, i have a living. i make music because it's my passion." too bad 90% of hip hop artists out here don't have the same mindset."

10. If you were not pursuing music & entertainment as a career, what would be your second career choice?

"My second career choice would be in fashion merchandising. i eventually want to own my own line of boutiques showcasing independent and amazing designers. if not that, then i would definitely take up kinetic imaging."

*Bonus Question* - Where do you see yourself {in your career} in the next 5 years?

"In the next five years i will be 26. i see myself being well established in my field, touring the world, connecting with amazing artists, directing videos, sitting front seat at fashion week, and helping others realize their greatness."

An American Mother

"#Iremember Breaking my curfew nightly coming home drunk worrying my mother to death...Smh!"

What do I say to the woman that instilled the core values in me and made me everything that I am today. This is the same women who taught me how to pray every night and read my bible continuously. This women taught me how to wipe myself and bath properly. She taught me the words "Yes ma'am" & "Yes sir", words even to this day I can't part from. This is the same exact women who kept me in church when all of my friends were hanging out in the streets. What do I say to the women that raised four boys to be four distinguished gentlemen as well as family men. I'm not exactly sure what to say to the same women that visited the elderly in the nursing homes and took them to church in the same Oldsmobile that I used to take my dates out to the movies in. Smile. All I can say Mom is, I Love You to death even though I don't spend as much time with you as I should. I will always Love You even beyond the day GOD calls us home. *Tears*

Born Gloria Ann Griffin to Suzie Mae HIll & Grandaddy William "Billue" December 30th, 1953. She was raised by her aunt Allee & Uncle Fred right over there in Pleasant Hill, Macon Georgia to be exact. My mother was one of 8 kids. Although I don't know much about her childhood I will say that she met my father and started dating circa '71. Shortly afterwords they had my "egg-headed" brother Rick (He's gonna laugh). The new family moved to Lowe Street in the central part of Macon, Georgia. Things must have been great for the new family or so the smiles in the pictures would tell it.

Fast forward to '76 when another child was born. Now this was my fathers 3rd child and my mother's 2nd, but for some reason I was given the name Donald G. Pitts II (my dad's name). I was born a curly headed hazel-eyed vibrant little something. I have fond memories of sort of being close to my mother but later drifting to being a daddy's boy. Times past and more kids filled the Pitts family nest. The stork later brought my (knot headed) younger brothers John & Daniel. Collectively, Rick, myself, John, & Daniel were all inseparable. My mom kept us close to GOD by making us attend church what seemed like every single day, but more like Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, & Sunday. I didn't know it then but she was instilling a core value that would never leave me called "The Word". This core value would be critical in thousands of sticky situations later.

I can remember in the second grade, my mom had to come to the school to speak with my teacher Mrs. Graves because I was drawing comic books for my classmates and selling them. I think I got my a** tore up for that. I was quite the entrepreneur even then. As a teen fast approaching sixteen my mom was out one day at West Gate Mall in a Dollar Store and spoke to a man who later gave me my first paying job. My mom allowed me to carry a pager shortly after getting my job, and I could remember her beeping me to death when I used to keep her car. My mom and I had more like a sister and brother and relationship the older I got. I remember Breaking my curfew nightly coming home drunk worrying my mother to death (Shaking my head).

After graduating, I ventured off to Art School (SCAD) in Savannah away from family. Here is where all of my core values and life skills were put to the test. The ever presence of Fast Money, Drugs and Alcohol were more than enough to temp a young spirit like myself. The days of being close to "The Word" was a keeper during my days of school. As much as I hated going to church back in the days, I can truly appreciate it now. Many of my friends are now Dead, Locked-up, or roaming the streets as a shell of what the Devil left them.

My mother once asked me, "Did I fail as a parent?" I wanna answer that question for her now for all of my subscribers to read. Mom, rich or poor, the true success of a parent is measured by how they've raised their children. I also want to say that you're more successful as a parent than you know, because you've raised four boys to become successful men, fathers, brothers, business owners, mentors, pillars of the community, and most importantly men of "The Word". MOM YOU ARE A SUCCESSFUL PARENT - We LOVE YOU and always have and always will.

"What about Lil Wayne" you ask yourself (shaking your head). Wait, what's this. Lola Maxwell. Looks very interesting you think as you press play. You can't help but pat your foot as you lay the steaks on the grill. Thirty minutes later the door bell rings and it's the family. Not since the 1995 Brian Singer film 'Usual Suspects' have we witnessed such an elite cast of characters. Music Exec @DonGhotti makes an attempt to repeat history 15 years later with his Summer music game changer entitled 'CUS IT FEELS RIGHT' which highlights some of music's hottest budding stars. The original version of this record entitled 'Lesbionica' featured Washington DC's own hip hop star Lola Maxwell. As Diddy would say, "This is the REMIX...!!!"

We start off with Washington Heights (NYC) own @JUMZ aka Gabbana J who's newly signed to the DC based label Asquad Records. Jumz leads the Remix off with a gritty voice in which he directs his rhymes to the female subject as the club comes to a close. The Dominican flow artist outlines his plan to execute the perfect orgasm from the reverse angle. Some of his flows are chopped and screwed much like his female subject would soon be after the club.

Next up is Washington DC's own @Markyland also known to the world as Marky. He reps his label imprint 43 Ent/SRC/Universal. Marky brings an unorthodox tongue twisting staccato flow to the table as he too tries to convince this stubborn female socialite to exit the club with him in his bright yellow Lamborghini car. He builds a strong case of reason why he's DC's most eligible bachelor then leaves the listener on a very high note.

Bringing the Remix home is south side Chicago/Atlanta repper @BishopCity10 aka Bishop City who splashes the record with an energetic hype flow. He gives the female socialite her options why she should leave the club with him. His hyper flow rides the dance floor ready track and adds the spice needed to make this Remix the Summer's Hottest record play list.

The Maturation of the @DonGhotti MIXTAPE Series!!!

All good things MUST come to an end.

When I first started this mix tape series back in January of '09 I had no idea that I would end up with 5 installments of some of Indie music's most talented human beings. Initially, I wanted to create a collage of music from all of the people I'd interviewed from my Podcast, but it later blossomed into a series that would fit nicely in any music lovers collection.

Volume 1

The series started where I created a storyline that mirrored an actual trip that I'd took from Atlanta to Los Angeles, then on to New York City and finally back home to Atlanta. When you listen to the skits, you will understand that the music that plays on the tape is actually what I'm listening to on my Ipod Touch during the trip. As I pull the earphones out of my ears and speak, the dialogue is the actual skits. The play list was quickly filled when my music industry friends and resources sent records on behalf of their clients for placements. I then worked alongside budding A&R prospects as well as my friend and engineer DJ EzE to piece the project together in a record 2 weeks. I finally completed the first tape. I worked the marketing and manufacturing magic behind the scenes then launched my first listening party. See the pics HERE !!!

Volume 2

With volume 1 in the bag my mind wouldn't allow me to relax.

I hopped a plane to LA in February during the Grammies and sought inspiration for yet another volume. I still had a huge surplus of records from the first volume which I never used. I wanted this second tape to be a collage of West Coast inspired music. This trip would give me just the vibe to complete it [Click HERE to see my Westside pix]. I spent most of my time in Beverly Hills, cruising down Sunset vibing and listening to Indie music riding shotgun alongside my recording artist Otis Lee. This trip to LA was the perfect medicine needed to complete this tape. I know I'm getting a little ahead of the story, but click HERE to view the pix from my next Listening Party for volume 2. Volume 3

The flight landed safely at Kennedy Airport.

I grabbed my bags and exited to my waiting car service. As I rode through the gritty city I was instantly inspired to make an edgier tape that embodied Urban Indie Street Music. I opened the door to my apartment in the city, dropped my bags, and hit the showers. Fresh out the water, I bundled back up and caught a cab to the Virgin Mega store for the midnight release of Ryan Leslie's debut LP. Think I'm just making this up, well click HERE to see my NYC pix. During this trip I was still promoting volume 1, therefore I was off to my NYC Release Party at Negril Village. My big Homies Big Ced & DJ Music Rocka held me down righteously. DJ Music Rocka spun volume 1 from reel to reel during Ladies night [Thursday]. Again I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but after volume 3 you'll hear me exiting NYC LGA airport back home to my city of Atlanta, but in real life I went on to Washington DC. Volume 4.1 & 4.2

Volumes 4.1 & 4.2 began the Maturation of the Don Ghotti brand.

This was my opportunity to end the storyline and began the opportunity to educate my listeners with quotes between the music. I also broke up the disc set to change up the monotony of the traditional mix tape that the listeners are used to. I'll admit I was quite burn out with producing mix tape projects which means I almost DID NOT drop this project. I didn't even do a release party to promote it. For that, I would like to formally apologize to my fans, "I APOLOGIZE!!"

Volume 5

The Beginning

The End???

This project will be my Magnum Opus.

Volume 5 is the True Maturation of the Don Ghotti brand.

The only way to find out what this project has in store is to simply tune in, the Release Date/Party is slated for October 16th, 2010 [My Birthday weekend] in Los Angeles, California. The final question remains,

Whats going on everyone! I'm kinda new to this whole blogging thing so bear with me OK? now I admit. I speak and pull very little punches...some of what I say may be crude, politically incorrect, unpolished, opinionated, biased and/or straight up unbearable...but that would make me no different than that damn tea party wouldn't it? lol! Anyway that's another subject for another time...TODAY, I am gonna speak on the top 5 reasons us men, shouldn't take coochie as a v day present. I know what some of y'all saying already...WHAT? DON'T ACCEPT NO P_SSY, THIS DUDE RIGHT HERE CRAZY AS HELL! OR GAY ONE! WHAT THE HELL THIS FOOL TALKING BOUT? TURNING DOWN GOOD COOCH! whoooah, calm down kemosabie, I'ma explain why u shouldn't fall for that trick...

#1....Fellas, imagine ya lady showing up to the crib on Valentine's Day, u have no gift, no present, no surprise, nothing for her but a card and Mr. happy down below tied in a bow and u saying HERE IS YOUR GIFT! she may take it...if y'all been together 4 a while but she gonna see u as the sorriest most selfish insensitive and thoughtless prick ever who put no time and effort into a valentine's day gift. Now if we looked at in that esteem if we were to offer nothing but d_ck to our woman, why don't we think the same way when she say in there with a hallmark card and some cooch we oughta be used to? which brings me to #2

#2...A gift is usually something we don't get often or seen as a surprise...a new car is a gift, a new home is a gift, a vacation, new clothes...hell a cutlery set is a gift! its a surprise and something u aren't used to...with that being said, if you've been with a woman for a while, her love below, no matter how good should be something u get on a regular basis...with that being said, what kinda gift are u getting if get it every other day or whatever ya sexual habits are? but then again, a lot of my married friends say sex is close to null in their life so i guess there are SOME exceptions! lol!

#3...Even if u get her a small gift and she gives u some coochie to say thanks, she still comes out on top in the deal because she gets two gifts...the one u bought her and some sex while u just get sex...doesn't sound too fair to me! lol!

#4...Wouldn't your woman get sick and tired of getting the SAME gift every holiday, birthday, etc? well getting coochie every v day takes the work away from them having to come up with a thoughtful gift...think about it, we as men go to the store wondering what does she like? what size does she wear? will she like this? maybe i should get that...etc...so why shouldn't SHE have to go through the same process? WHAT DOES MY MAN WANT? SOME P-SSY...OH THAT WILL BE SIMPLE ENOUGH! LOL!

AND FINALLY...DUH DUH DUH DUUUUUH!

#5 Men like to feel appreciated for the efforts that we put in making our women happy. most of what we do is to make sure that our woman, wife, girl, etc is treated to the best that we can offer...we as men need to make it valentines day more than just on the 14Th of February and if u have a man that caters to you like that, why not cater to him for just ONE day? AND give him some coochie to top it off? LOL!

A moment in time w/ CARVIN "Ransum" Haggins & IVAN "Orthodox" Barias

What do you ask the multi-platinum selling music producers / songwriters who make nothing less than "timeless" music for today's hottest recording artist??? When you add the fact that they serve on the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Chapter of The Recording Academy, and most recently became the creative ambassadors for the city of Philadelphia, the pressure to have a dope interview intensifies. This was a major task, but a task that I had the pleasure of being faced with yesterday afternoon as I prepped for my interview.

Carvin "Ransum" Haggins & Ivan "Orthodox" Barias were both born & raised in the city of Brotherly Love and later crossed paths in the mid 90s at DJ Jazzy Jeff's studio called A Touch of Jazz. WHY CAN'T THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN SEEM TO KEEP A MAN?

Hello everyone! I am back! yes it's me, Bernard Kinsey, here to voice my opinion about all the things that are on my mind...well not all the things but you understand, dont you? Lol! Anyways, let me start off by thanking all those who took the time to read my first blog and leave an opinion about it. Whether you loved it or hated it your comments are greatly appreciated. Also, I wanna thank my partner Don Ghotti for the opportunity to blog because he could have chose someone else, so thanks for taking a chance with me. Now, that I got all my humbleness and gratefulness out of the way, now let me get down to the task of being the witty, opinionated, charming asshole I was brought here to be, lol!

Today's blog is about women...beautiful women...well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but by many standards women like Halle Berry and Kim Kardashian are considered very beautiful, successful women who seem to have it all going for them. With that being said, why I ask, do these two seem to have the hardest time keeping a man? Let's start with Halle. Christopher Williams, Wesley Snipes, Dave Justice, Eric Benet, The dude from Barbershop and For Colored Girls...she even left black men alone and dated some white supermodel and had a kid by him. Actors, baseball players, singers, models, Halle's dated them all and the result has ALWAYS been the same...her relationships ending and Halle being accused of being a crazy, pitiful yet pitiless, over demanding, overemotional wreck of a woman! Now keep in mind, I have never met Ms. Berry(as Hurricane Chris would call her) and to be fair, the men she dealt with may have been just as equally outta their mind. But let's face facts, Halle has a terrible track record when it comes to men in relationships and if it's not her, maybe it's the men she is choosing which means her choices suck elephant ass hair! I mean damn, Halle, you been choosing the wrong men since you was two stepping in Jeff Redd videos! Lol!

Now, Kim Kardashian AKA Kimmy the Black C*ck Slayer AKA The Armenian Ass Clapper AKA for all my beauty, body and looks no man wanna wife me! lol! I'm just playing...maybe! But seriously, ever since Kim came(no pun intended) into the forefront as Ray J's co-star in what was probably the most BORING celebrity sex tape ever, she has had or been linked to a slew of men. Ray J (who owes his career, whatever the hell it is he does, to her), Reggie Bush, a Dallas Cowboy, an international soccer star, Kanye West, and maybe a couple of others that I don't know about. While Kim, doesn't have the reputation of being a mad woman in relationships, she does have a rep for being relatively, um, how can I put this, EASY1 Now, to the same respect, I've never met Ms. Kardsahian, and I don't know to what extent her relationships were to these men. She's been described as a relatively nice girl. But the the facts are the facts...every one of those relationships with the exception of Reggie Bush seemed to be relatively quick one off where she ended up as simply a notch on some running back's, rapper, or other sportsman's belt. Oh, yeah, and Ray J!

Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a blog to down either one of these women. It's just we as quote unquote "regular" guys seem to have this misconception that just because a woman is incredibly beautiful that she is this goddess that has no flaws. How many of y'all said to yourself "Eric Benet stupid...why that negro gonna cheat when he got Halle Berry?" Well Halle is human and we have no idea how Halle is behind closed doors and when the camera is off. Same with Kim. She seems to be a nice girl who like many nice girls may let the wrong men take advantage of her kindness. I really don't know. I just hope that these two, as well as, other beautiful, strong, successful women can find happiness not only with a mate, but within themselves. Didn't i end that shit nice? Lol! Who really knows what goes on in the mind of a blogger. Who really cares, as long as you're entertained right. Most people blog about their day, or their cat, or maybe even their job. Me, I blog about things everybody wants to say, but nobody ever actually says. Like the rude old lady, you just wanna tell "#### you #####" when she doesn't say "Thank You" when you hold the door for her. Or saying "dude, who gives a ####" to the obnoxious gay guy in the front of the line at starbucks, who can't be any louder while waiting for his mocha latte. The point is, I say what you want to say. In fact, I wonder what you would say if you let your mind go free and not have to worry about maintaining your pretentious lifestyle and reputation?

What's the matter with the world, why does everything have to be so damn politically correct? I just think it would super dope for a day if you could just come out of your face and just say whatever the #### was on your mind. That would be the dopest day then, we'd all go home and blog about it.
