This snake was discovered in China in 2009 with a single clawed foot growing out from its body. The 16 inches long mutant reptile was found by Duan Qiongxiu clinging to the wall of her bedroom in suining with its talons. Mrs. Duan was so scared that has beat the snake to death with her shoe. Growing a foot is a very rare mutation for a snake they more frequently grow two heads and scientists are working to find out if the foot evolved from changes in the snake's environment.

Teshuilo Lake lies among the canals of Xochimilco near Mexico City and on the lake there is a tiny island known as Isla De Las Munecas. Many years ago a young girl drowned there and it became a haunted area that people were afraid to enter. A homeless man, julian Santana lived on the island for over 50 years and began to collect and display children's dolls to remember the dead girl and keep her spirit happy. Santana would trade fresh vegetables, which he grew on the island with local people for their discarded dolls. Although Santana died in 2001 there are still thousands of dolls scattered around the area mostly hung in the trees.

In 2009 after a lot of effort and rotten fruit he perfected a technique and was able to mold 10,000 pears into edible Buddha shaped fruit. Selling them for $10 each the pears which resemble baby Buddhas are grown in special plastic molds on the tree branches from an early stage.

He puts the paint into his nose, next he forces the paint up through his eye and finally he squirts it onto a canvas. He achieves by using his nose sinus cavities, which empty into the eye through small vents. When he puts pressure on his nose the paint can escape into his eye.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves

The Waitomo Glowworm Caves in New zealand is known for its population of glowworms
.These glowworms are found exclusively in New Zealand and around the size of an average mosquito.
This cave is part of the Waitomo Caves system that includes the Ruakuri Cave and the Aranui Cave.
There are organized tours that include a boat ride under the glowworms.
The local Māori people had known about the caves for quite some time before the local Māori Chief Tane Tinorau and an English surveyor, Fred Mace, did an extensive exploration in 1887.
Their exploration was conducted with candlelight on a raft going into the cave where the stream goes underground.
As they began their journey, they came across the Glowworm Grotto and were amazed by the twinkling glow coming from the ceiling.
As they travelled further into the cave by poling themselves towards an embankment, they were also astounded by the limestone formations.
.The Waitomo Glowworm Caves are located in the southern Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand, 12 km northwest of Te Kuiti.

Kepler-22b is the first confirmed extra solar planet found by NASA's Kepler Space Telescope to orbit within the habitable zone of a Sun-like star.
Kepler-22b, a possible super-Earth, is 600 light years away from Earth, in orbit around Kepler-22, a G-type star.
The discovery was announced December 5, 2011.
The average distance from Kepler-22b to its host star Kepler-22 is about 15% less than the distance from Earth to the Sun but the luminosity (light output) of Kepler-22 is about 25% less than that of the Sun.
Even the fastest new horizons spacecraft, which is on its way to Pluto, would take over 6 million years to get there.
What makes it really exciting is that its about as far away from its star as the earth is from our sun. Its not so close to be super hot and its not so far to be cold and frozen.
It means that Kepler 22b is the first planet found where liquid water and even life might exist on its surface.

The naked mole rat also known as the sand puppy or desert mole rat, is a burrowing rodent native to parts of East Africa and the only species currently classified in the genus Heterocephalus.

Jyoti Amge was declared the world's shortest living woman by the Guinness World Records.Rob Molloy, adjudicator for GWR, said, "Jyoti was measured by an accreditated medical doctor under GWR supervision and her height has been noted at 62.8 cm. The record was held by Bridgette Jordan, an American, who stands at 69cm. Today Jyoti also became an adult legally, on account of her turning 18, hence we declare her as the shortest living woman in the world.
"The process of measuring Jyoti's height was a complex one. GWR gave the charge to Wockhardt Hospital in Nagpur. Dr Manoj Pahukar, consulting orthopaedician at Wockhardt Hospitals who conducted the measurements, said, "There is a medical logic to measuring a candidate thrice. After a night's sleep, a person's height increases marginally due to the spine being in a straight position for a long time. It goes back to normal after a while. Since November 13, the new large-scale sculpture dubbed “Tiger and Turtle - Magic Mountain" was opened in Duisburg, Germany, after a year of construction.
The sculpture, which has a 220-meter track and is made of zinc-plated steel and grates, gives tourists an impressive view over the Rhine, according to German artists Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth.
LED lights are integrated in the handrails and highlight the flight of stairs so the sculpture is accessible at night, they added.
"Visitors can climb on the curved sculpture and walk around, taking in the surrounding views from the spiral walkways - but not at the breakneck speed usually associated with roller coasters," it said.
On the other hand, tech site Gizmodo noted the sculpture was built at a cost of $2.7 million.

The Black Astrum Signature Card, which is being touted as world's most expensive business card, features a sleek, Swiss metal construction dotted with more than 30 carats of diamonds.
The cards, which are custom handcrafted to the client's liking, are sold in packs of 25, 50 or 100 and are priced at about $1,500 per card.
The company has reportedly even turned down clients interested in purchasing the cards."We've had several enquiries from American celebrities and international businessmen, however our cards are offered by invitation only, reflecting our desire to serve only the most premier individuals," Sufian Khawaja, the company's concept director told Business Insider.
