My animation "Constellation" has been Pirated

I don't know if I get angry or happy, because one of my animation work has just been pirated by a guy who stole my entire animation and put his own music on it, re-editing to fit the time of his music and of course remove all the credits.

Who told me this was a YouTube user, probably a fan of my work, immediately when he saw the robbery, tried to warn me:

The thief's name is William Corbo and the song's name is "Memories." If only he had consulted me, I don't know if I would authorize, but could talk about creating a video for him, perhaps at a low cost.

For those who don't know, here's the link to my original animation, made for the Spanish band called Metropol.

I don't know how long the video will stay in the air, because I already made a claim on YouTube about Copyright Infringement Notification, but the link below will show his "work".

If the pirate video has offline, here's a screenshot for posterity.

As I said, I can not stop to feeling a little proud to have a pirated work, is a sign that people are enjoying it. I am even happier because I received an email from a person who I don't know denouncing the case.

The day I see my films being sold at illegal pirate sellers on streets, then I will be impossible. :-)

The Youtube staff was quick. On the same day I received an email telling: "Thank you very much for your notification. The content has been removed."

Fantastic Cinema Festival in Campinas with Dimitri Kozma Movies and Animations

In April 6th, 2012 at MIS (Museum of Image and Sound) in Campinas, Brazil, the festival "Ciclo de Cinema Fantástico" will present a special day with a antology of my movies and animations with fantasy, supernatural or surrealism as theme.

Happy Holidays Card 2011

This is my 2011 holidays greetings card. It´s a mix with collage, painting on paper, paint drops and pen details. After finished on Photoshop.

I like create something completely different each year on my traditional Santa Claus greeting card, and this year I've made this artwork very fast today. But that is the idea for every year, create a fast artwork in a different style.

After another secret movie teaser poster, now we show another project, a zombie flick in the Brazilian way. It's called Necrochorume, and tell about the danger of dead bodies fluids on cemetery going to water undeground natural resources.

Teaser Poster for the new horror movie from the Brazilian "Corte Seco"

As some readers of my art blog knows, I am member of an Brazilian independent film production company called "Corte Seco" (something like "Dry Cutting", in English), with some friends.

We are currently in production of a new indie horror Brazilian film that will "shake some brains". I can not say much about the plot, but soon you will know.

This is my tribute to Church, specially the catholic church, with the excellent priests who love the little male children. Isn't?

This is a painting to hang in sacristy, I already made the golden frame, because everything from church should be made with gold. Let's pray, brothers and sisters!

Now the serious reason is to make another complaint (maybe useless?) about this stupid and sordid church and the practice of pedophilia institutionalized. Nobody care? Where is the reaction for this?

Graphic Novel Anthology by Dimitri Kozma: "Os Contos das Sombras da Mente"

This is an anthology of old comics created by me until 1998. Called "Os Contos das Sombras da Mente" or "The Tales of Shadows in the Mind", this graphic novel shows some different stages of my early artworks.

It's available only in Portuguese, showing histories about the obscure side on the human mind. Some as horror tales and others as dramatic novels.

Was published in fanzines and across the web sites, the visual style is dated and inconstant, but the message and subtexts still there and working. That's why I have created this tales anthology.

Some of histories was created as a quick rough, for a indie fanzine when I was a teenager and starting to draw, so the artwork sometimes is a little poor, but the themes and tales worth a read.

I believe in free for all entertainment, culture and information, then I've made this graphic novel to be free distributed with no commercial purposes and no changes in the contents.

Sorry about the Portuguese original language, but it's really hard to translate the contents of the tales to English and keep the subtexts of language.

Motion Sports Adrenaline - E3 2011 Game Trailer

I worked in motion graphics for the trailer for Ubisoft's game "Motion Sports Adrenaline" at E3 2011. Will be a nice game for Microsoft Xbox Kinect, with many different sports for casual players.

Was a very intense work in only one weekend and here you can watch the results.

Cross Eye 3D Stereo Images - Second Test

Now I've made more tests with Cross Eye 3D Stereo Photos! Worked very well and I love the results! Some of 3D effects on the pictures are really impressive. :-)

How can you see the 3D effect...

While starring at the middle of the two images cross your eyes. If you can't cross your eyes (looking down at your nose to try to cross your eyes won't work) you can't see the effect.

Simple instructions: Cross your eyes, relax your vision until there are three images, then focus on the center image. The further back you are from the screen, easier it becomes.

To better results, click on the image to enlarge and only see the image on screen.

This is the history of this new book cover.

I've made this art in 1999 just as a quick draw in graffiti on paper. It's a series of 4 images with the same idea, the loneliness in the middle of a crowd.

In 2010, Wagno Lima, a Brazilian writer want to use this image as his book cover, called "Passaros Urbanos" (Urban Birds), and I've made the finished version for the cover.

To create the final artwork, I made in digital format, using Adobe Photoshop.After the finish artwork, I've worked on cover design, with logo and crop to apply the concept.

Cross Eye 3D Stereo Images - First Test

I've made some quick tests to create 3D Pictures. And you don't need any 3D glasses to see the effect, you just need to concentrate and cross your eyes.

The pictures was taken very quick, just to test the effect for the first time. And it works nice! The next time I will create some better pictures to worth the 3D treatment. :-)

How can you see the 3D effect...

You can call this iconic image as "The Guardian of Unconsciousness" or "The Goddess Of All Ideas" or "The Goddess of Unconsciousness" or "The Guardian of Surreality" or "Embodiment of Creativity" or "The Dream Guardian" or "The Lamp Woman" or "The Light Woman" or whatever you like to call.

SHE is my most iconic surreal symbol and I'm dare to say SHE is one of the most important symbols of surrealism. The Goddess Of All Ideas, the real meaning of surreality and hidden desires.

Her first appearance was on my game about surrealism, "Surrealidade" (Surreality) made in 1999 and after SHE was on my short movie "Entre Espelhos e Sombras" (Between Mirrors and Shadows) in 2007, including a sculpture in tribute.

Now I've made another tribute to the Goddess of Unconsciousness with this new painting. All digital made with tablet.

The naked woman with a light bulb as her head crucified in a cactus is the symbol of creativity. SHE is the guardian of the realm of ideas and represent the surrealism in his pure essence.
