It looks like there's concept pictures of Thor's costume too!

The design is pretty good but it feels lacking to me. He just doesn't look like an immortal thunder god. Maybe it's the pants.

Thor will be played by Chris Hemsworth and the movie will be directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Thor is planned to be released May 6, 2011.

So I've been neglecting this blog for a while. Sorry about that. But now we have some concept Captain America costume pictures!

From what we know, Chris Evans will play Captain America in the movie which will be produced by Joe Johnston.

I kinda like the design of the costume, but if they took off the suspenders and the silly helmet, he would look EPIC!!!

Captain America: The First Avenger is set to be released July 22, 2011.

It's been leaked. Someone posted a special ending after the credits of Iron Man 2 on youtube. the video has since disappeared but I'm sure some websites still have it up.

After the credits conclude, we see a black car pushing up dirt as it zooms through the desert. We are even given a close-up of the New Mexico license plate of the car so that we know it is New Mexico. The license plate reads 8RE 2Z1. I’m not sure if there is an inside joke or easter egg in those numbers and letters. Probably not.
A man exists the vehicle, and it cuts to a wide show of a huge crater in the earth.
We see that the man is… not Tony Stark — but Agent Coulson.
He looks down at the inside of the big hole, which has been revealed to contain cars and workers working on something.
Coulson picks up his cellphone and tells the person on the other end “Sir, we’ve found it.”
Cut to a shot from inside the giant crater, and we push back to reveal the hammer of Thor sticking out of the ground.

Sweet. A Thor tease. But remember how X-Men Origins: Wolverine had many different secret endings? There might be multiple ones for this movie also.

If you have lots of money, you can buy actual props used in the first Iron Man movie. Lots of cools things like this arc reactor, helmets, clothes, and other stuff.

I'm pretty sure these will be in high demand so be prepared to just send only one of your kids to college.

Iron Man's Mark VI Toy Statue

Wait a second, Mark VI? Iron Man's suit only went up to Mark III in the first movie. We're already at Mark VI? I wonder what IV and V look like.

But anyway, considering how detailed these toy statues are, it's pretty safe to say that this is what Iron Man's suit will look like in the movie.

Those props of people on the stands seem scary. I wonder how realistic it'll look on screen.

I'm literally hearing crickets when it comes to updates on the Avenger movies, but here's a game review of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Even though there's lots of bugs, it'll probably be able to provide tons of hours of fan service to Marvel fans.

So Disney just bought Marvel for $4 billion. I knew I should have bought Marvel stock!

But what does this mean? This is what we know:

In a conference call, the companies said that the deals for movies for characters at other studios (Spider-Man, X-Men, etc.) will stay in place under the terms set by Marvel and the other studios.

John Lasseter met with Marvel last week about a possible team-up between Marvel and Pixar and got "pretty excited, pretty fast." They say there's definitely an opportunity there.

The deal with Paramount Pictures to distribute five films--"Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America," "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3"--stays in place as well, but Disney would like to self-distribute down the line. "When the time comes we'll take a closer look at it."

Woah Iron Man 3? Pixar? All this is nice but what I want most is Marvel Theme Park in Disney World!

Whiplash's Iron Man 2 Suit

So the picture of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash with his electric whips doesn't exactly make him seem like a worthy adversary again Iron Man and his rockets, but it's safe to assume that it's only the first version of the suit.

Concept art has been released for an upcoming comic miniseries called Iron Man vs. Whiplash. It features what looks like the final version of Whiplash's suit, and I think that there's a good chance that it'll be similar to the movie version.

Spiderman 5 and 6?

Sony has hired James Vandlerbilt to be the screenwriter for Spiderman 5 and 6.

Spiderman 4 won't start production till 2011 so who knows when 5 and 6 will start filming. Some people are suggesting that 5 and 6 maybe a reboot for Spiderman with different actors and everything, but I think that would be dumb since the Spiderman franchise is still pretty new.

Wolverine and Iron Man Anime?

Marvel had made a deal with animation studio Madhouse to create four anime series for 2010. The first two announced are a Wolverine anime series and an Iron Man series. Here's the teaser trailers for both of them.

I find the animation style pretty cool, but I have to say that the character design of Wolverine sucks. Just because the guy has 3 claws on each hand doesn't make him Wolverine. But whatever. It's better than nothing. Though the Iron Man anime looks freakin' sweet!

Here's some footage of the actual Iron Man 2 panel with the stars of the movie. They showed a 5 minute trailer for the movie with an appearance of War Machine but I have yet to find a video of it. I'll keep searching. But until then, enjoy the panel.
